21 Grams is an awesome movie. I watched it over the weekend. I wasn’t expecting it to be anything special but I was amazed in the end at how good it was.

It stars Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. Their performances are memorable. The dialogues between the characters are very riveting. Premise: The film tells the complex interconnected story how the lives of a former drug addict and mother, Cristina (Watts), a terminally ill mathematics professor, Paul (Penn), and a spiritual ex-convict, Jack (Del Toro) intersect both tragically and redemptively following a car accident. The script is exceptionally well written and the direction is just superb (it’s unique in style, a little similar to Memento perhaps but not the same). The editor of this film must have had his hands full when working on this project. You’ll understand what I mean when you’ve watched the movie.

21 Grams is one of the best films I’ve ever seen and I would recommend it. It’s a drama so it’s one for the intelligent viewers.

Sounds good, is it at the cinema or did you rent it?

I saw 21 Grams a couple of months ago and I found it quite confusing as it went on but at the end it all became a lot clearer. I found it very interesting and I agree that it's a great film. It won quite a few awards in USA somewhere.

Neither. With broadband, I have the privilege of downloading movies, that’s how I got it. It hit the cinemas last year. It might have had a limited release though, not sure. I haven’t seen the film on the shelves in any shops so it’s not out here yet. You’ll probably have to wait for it a little while.

I saw it at the cinema on the first day of it's release and thought it was good, it's clever and well structured and the cinematography is excellent. But some of it just got so dull during parts of the film that I ended up almost falling asleep.

I ain't seen it but it looks good, and the director did the film "amores perros" (loves a bitch) which is quality, won loads of awards at cannes, and they call it the Mexican Pulp fiction (the dog fights are so realistic  )

yea.. i heard this was meant to be a top notch film.. it has an excellent cast... i don't know much about it because i have a policy of trying not to find out about movies.. like i aviod trailers.. coz i find that it kills movies because it tells you too much.. one of the best movies i ever saw was blair witch (the first one) and the only reason i saw it was because before i went away a friend advised me to see it... and i went and saw it and loved it.. and then people heard about the hype.. and hated it.. but yea.. thats my policy.. but... i am a fan of the actors.. and reckon they are top quality actors... and i have been a fan of naomi watts for a while now.. (not coz of the lesbian scene..) but i can't wait to see 21 grams... is it on DVD yet?
