The only way to accomodate Becks/Matthews/Finney & Charlton, whilst also having a holding player (Robson) in the middle.
Jimmy Armfield didn't even make the last 3 for RB. Or Ray Wilson for LB. Stuart Pearce is way too slow & clumsy for my squad, thank you very much!

Yeah, looking at it again, LiamK's team does look slightly better than either the team I suggested or the joke that was chosen the other night.
Seems more balanced & the double threat of Franny & Les (no that isn't a 70's sit com) would give any all-time defence problems. ;)

what a great show, couple of surprises, stan matthews should have really been in there over beckham, butcher over adams, greavsy over shearer. hard to leave people out, but do it again in 20 years time, lets see then if beckham, owen, gerrard will be included!
