Probably one of two from Tony Yeboah of Leeds.
Oh and Matt Le Tissier has a few great ones too.
It's tough.

Yeboah V Wimbledon
or
Le Tissier V Blackburn

One that always springs to mind is Henry's against Man U at Highbury where he flicked the ball up (back to goal) and volleyed it over Barthez on the turn......GENIOUS!

I'd go for Le Tissier's goal against Blackburn. Absolutely sublime from Matty in his prime

Every one I keep thinking of didn't happened outside the Premiership! But Matty's was amazing if it's the one where he lobs over a player and then takes it on his knee and volleys it into the net.... nice!
When he was asked after what his inspiration was he replied (paraphrasing), " Well, I couldn't be bothered to run past the players so I just did that instead as it was easier!" Genius!

reb, the Le Tissier goal I mean was V Blackburn was where he got it and dribbled past 2 or 3 making them look like kids before shooting very powerfully and high before it came down and into the top corner of the goal leaving Flowers on his ass.

Most of he best goals are on Kazaa somewhere.
I think I've seen the one you mean.

It's nothing to do with the premiership but has anybody seen Mendieta's volley from the corner or Seedorfs thunderbolt from near the halfway line??? Pure Class both of them!

Gary Macallister V everton 2000/2001

five reasons:

1. He managed to take the kick 10 - 15 yards closer to goal then where the foul occured
2. The kick was a cracker
3. It won the game for Liverpool
4. It was against Everton
5. This may get a rise out of Bluescouse

:)

Actually, I remember another one where he headered the ball out of the keeper's hand and scored. I think it was Matty? It counted cos the keeper only had one hand on it.

Seen the Seedorf one. For Madrid (wearing purple).
Not sure about the Mendieta one. Who for?

How about Roberto Carlos from near the touch line?
This is going out of control though.
Let's stick to the Premiership.

Last season had a few crackers.
1. Gudjohnsen's overhead
2. Harley's first-time 40-yard screamer
3. Shearer's volley vs. Everton.

And from days gone by. . .

1. Silvinho vs. Chelsea (see his goal last season vs. Barca!?)
2. Poyet's volley vs. Sunderland at Stamford Bridge
3. Collymore's overhead for Bradford
4. Becks from half-way line
5. Le Tiss keepy-up then volley

Nothin' beats a good goal!

i think berkamps goal against newcastle was 1 of the best goals ever!!!! i still cant believe how he done it and what pisses me off is that wen arsenal renewed his contrack for the the new season it was shit!! his agent said that it was disgraceful

Zygalski

He's not a young bunny any more.
Seems the way Arsenal play requires a lot of fitness, effort and maybe some speed which he lacks in.

It's a shame that this has happened to Bergkamp and Zola which is not a good reason for them to stay at the clubs but they should be used to coach the youngsters.

Mambo

Zola and Bergkamp (if he goes) will be greatly missed, by their respective clubs and by neutral spectators alike. I used to marvel at the sheer brilliance these two players were able to conjure up out of nothing. What's disappointing is that neither of them is 'passed it' so to speak with Zola especially being mint in the Premiership last season.

As for Weah, I remember that goal well, an absolute corker. I remember the commentator shouting out "David Beckham eat your heart out!" when he scored it - I think it was shortly after his halfway line goal against Wimbledon, can't remember exactly.

12-07-2003, 23:39
in my book i know im a bergkamp fan but that one against newcastle in my view is the best goal ever scored.

the second has got to be le tissier against newcastle.

oh yeah i remember that silvinho v barca was cracking, when he wants to hit the ball fuck me he can hit the ball

Alan Shearers goal against Everton last season on the volley is the best goal i have EVER seen. the technique was outstanding and the accuracy was brillant there will never be another goal that will come any where near that one

04-08-2003, 08:17
All these goals are great, and I remember wathcing one on Eurosport in the Danish (or Belgium?) league i think, and this guy got the ball on the edge of the area, flickedit over himself and a deender, ran round flicked it back over and volleyed it into the bottom corner... all without touching the ground!

Sorry it's not the Premiership, but it's so damn good!

I liked the one rivaldo scored for barcelona (im not sure who they were playing against). The ball was crossed in, rivaldo caught it on the top of his foot, back to goal, just inside the area, juggled with it a few times, flicked it into the air about 7ft and bycycle kicked it in to the net. brilliant!

sorry its the the premiership but the best goal outside the prem has to go to edmundo for the one he scored against United in the world club championship when he flick the ball round i think it was silvestra (if thats how to spell it) pure magic its was

ps the berkamp one against newcastle is the best premiership goal ever

best premiership goal is Beckhams halfway line goal or Pires's lob V The Saints.

Yossi
12-03-2005, 21:28
Trevor Sinclair's overhead for West Ham against someone. Someone (don't know who) took the corner and Joe Cole flicked the ball up without it bouncing and then volleyed it to far post where Sinclair fired it in. The ball never touched the floor from the corner being took until it was in the net.

I thought Yeboah's goal was voted best Premiership goal?

Besides, Beckham's goal is nothing particularly special anyway. There's guys in other leagues who can do that a few times each season and don't really get the levels of masturbation that Beckham got, and it was only Sullivan after all.

I agree with Yossi the Sinclair one against err

That wasn't so great. He just hammered the ball really hard from a distance. No, I couldn't do any better so don't mention it.
