View Full Version : Futurama
Can you believe they axed this show? I personally think it is better than the Simpsons, and because of the Sci-Fi setting, the possibilities for stories are endless. At least we've got 5 seasons to enjoy.
jMz favourite quotes
Zapp Brannigan "Call me cocky, but if there's an alien out there that I haven't killed, it's just because I haven't met him and killed him yet."
Zapp "Kif, have the boy lay out my formal shorts"
Kif "The boy?"
Zapp "You Kif. You get the shorts."
Bender "I was god once"
God "I know, it was going well until everyone died."
Professor Farnsworth "Good news everyone, there's a report on TV with some very bad news."
Robot pleading to Robot Mafia boss "Please Donbot, look into your hard drive and open your mercy file"
Donbot "FILE NOT FOUND"
Goons shoot robot full of holes, he gets back up after a pause.
Donbot "Let that be a warnin' to ya."
Zapp "Kif, inform the men. I have made it with a woman."

family guy is better.. but futurama is still class...
The baby on Family Guy is one of my all time favourite characters, in anything. It's genius. All the other characters get on my tits. I suffer from animation addiction btw. Never grew up.

Another great line was "Who would have thought Robot hell was in New Jersey" .
That episode was class. Very musical.
Or when they go to Robot planet, and they are looking for Fry and Leela.
Bender: "What's in there?"
Robot guard: "Oh, that's the old book suppository, nothing left in there but some old robot pornography."
Bender: "Sounds like a breeding ground for humans. I better check it out."

Dr. Zoidberg: Now open your mouth and lets have a look at that brain.
[Fry opens his mouth]
Dr. Zoidberg: No, no, not that mouth.
Fry: I only have one.
Dr. Zoidberg: Really?
Fry: Uh... is there a human doctor around?
Dr. Zoidberg: Young lady, I am an expert on humans. Now pick a mouth, open it and say "brglgrglgrrr"!
Fry: Uh... brglgrglgrglgrrr!
Dr. Zoidberg: What? My mother was a saint! Get out!
Bring back Futurama!
Futurama was great, better than The Simpsons. Family Guy was better than either of them though.
And is it just me, or have The Simpsons slowly started getting not as funny?

Family Guy is superb too. The Simpsons stopped being funny a while back, can't put my finger on when but it's when they changed Homer, he's just not funny anymore. It's all gone a bit surreal and...well, a bit like a poor imitation of Family Guy.
They should end The Simpsons whilst it still has dignity and bring back Futurama, there's still so much potential left in that show.

Do you like Futurama a lot mate? I can't really tell!
Love the Ziodberg quote. The beauty of being brought up with TV is that I can actually picture that scene now.
I was once the biggest Simpsons fan, I have amazing useless trivia knowledge, but Futurama came out and I've been hooked since. Nothing comes close for me as far as animated series go.
Favourite characters are Zapp Branigan and Bender.
Zapp: "Which law Kif?"
Kif: "Urgh...... Branigans law."

Futurama rules - they should have never got rid of it.
I like the scene when Bender pulls out a picture of himself when he was 4 weeks old or something like that. The picture is exactly the same.
Or another onewhen Benders in the bathroom flushing himself down the toilet, Fry knocks on the door , " Bender. Bender!!!!!!!!!!........... Have you seen my sunbrero,"(dont know how to spell it  )
Bender's funny. Watched an episode the other day where Nixon got Benders body. Nixon's doing a speech and he pulls a baby out of his front compartment and kisses it and puts it back. Bender's head shouts "Hey, he's touchin' my stuff."
Futurama was pretty sweet. Maybe when they're done flogging the dead horse that is The Simpsons they'll do more.

with quotes like:
Bender: He's gay.
Leela: How do you know?
Bender: I have this thing called gaydar.
Fry: Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
Fry: "My folks were always on me to groom myself and wear underpants. What am I, the pope"
You really can't go wrong... it is classy stuff...
Cubert: "Dad, do I have a birthday?"
Farnsworth: "Hmmm...you didn't have a birth, so technically, no. Aw, don't feel bad. We can celebrate the day I extracted you from the cloning tank. Or the day I scraped your DNA from that growth on my back."
Cubert: "Ooh! That one!"
Hermes: "Sweet guinea pig of Winnipeg! They've taken over our company!"
Farnsworth: "Boulderdash! I never agreed to that!"
Dwight: "No, but you did declare yourself dead three years ago as a tax dodge."
Farnsworth: "Tax dodge nothing! You take one nap in a ditch in the park and they start declaring you this and that!"
Bender: "Today, I've personalized each of your meals. For example, Amy, you're cute. So I've baked you a pony."
Bender: "But I watch your show! You owe me!"
Elzar: "I owe you nothing. For starters, your antenna is in my crotch. Also, I hate you. And finally, you can't cook for squat."
Bender: "Whahahhaha. What was the first one again?"
Elzar: "I hate you."
Bender: "I thought that was number two!"
Elzar: "I knocked it up a notch. Bam!"
Hobo1: "Let's give a friendly welcome to this new robo."
Bender: "What did you call me?!"
Hobo2: "A Robo. You know ... a robot hobo."
Bender: "Oh, ok, I thought you said romo."
Professor: "Good lord! According to the spectralizer, Spargel's magic ingredient was ... water! Ordinary water!"
Crew: "HU! NO!"
Fry: "Ah, so the real gift Spargel gave you was confidence. The confidence to be your best."
Professor: "Yes, ordinary water. Laced with nothing more than a few spoons full of LSD."
Love it. I'll be back with more later.
