Yeah it is, just before they walk out with that 3stripe yellow/white/black kit. I think it's about 1 min 9 or so.
just checked it mate, sorry i cant tell if its badge or sponsor editor because of the camera angle. The japanese letters are way to tiny i cant read them. Hopefully somebody would post a clearer one soon.

The problem with the "sposorship editor" is it seems like the most simplistic idea that could be revolutionary to the look of the kits, but if no ones thought about it at Konami then it wont be done ! If they can make a badge editor to get around the copyright of teams badges then I'm sure they can do it for sponsors, also what they could do is they could superimpose the "sponsors" onto the hoardings, that'd look well cool, anyone got the phone number for Konami ??

Well exactly, its such a simple idea, doesnt even have to be called a sponsor editor, call it a shirt editor which lets you work on the middle sponsor area and thats it! so there is no indication or intention that its specifically for sponsors, so there is an easy way around any infringements.

9 is a very good score for Famitsu. It's one of the harshest review magazines in Japan supposedly.
I'm not sure what the three 9's are. Could be three different reviewers. Or Graphics, Sound, Overall.

About the famitsu ratings, a person who can read Japanese told me that it´s not graphics/sound/gameplay or sth like that. It´s a general rating, and we have 3 numbers because there were 3 people who had to test it. I should also add that those ratings are independent from each other.

Still unsure about the editing features though, there doesnt seem to be a general concensus as to what exactly the editor lets you do. Should be more colours, kits etc.

Well, i think WE8 is shaping up nicely. All the screenshots are impressive and the videos look promising. The main thing i want confirmed is the sponsor editor, as i'm not a patcher, so this is the holy grail for me. The only downer for me is the out of date licensing for Spain and Italy, so i'm assuming this means we wont get the newly promoted teams like Fiorentina, Atalanta, Levante etc...?

Yep, contrary to what christiano said, they did have nike kit templates in pes3 so I would think they they shall return for WE8/PES4.
They had plenty of nike, adidas, puma, and umbro templates in PES3, so i would expect more of the same this time round. Infact, i reckon there will be alot more templates, and hopefully more realistic.
hmm the flip flap move isn't known as "elastico"...it was originally named "rabo de vaca"(cow's tail) in Brazil and is also called "chicote"(whip), in Portugal we like to call it "vírgula" which means comma...

i hope that in pes4, (after we8 is released), konami wont extract boots and add different ones in. For example in pes3 they had the gun metal predators and in we7 they had the lunar ones instead. Bascillay to cut a long story short they should have the same amount of boots in pes4 and we8, and im talking about the officail boots not the editable ones.

Wait a min though, that fact that he has got MGS3 (which isnt out till december!) as well tells me that either that, or the we8 copy could both be fake. Anyway, sorry to post here, just my last word on it.
Dunno if this has been mentioned before, but the guy who played WE8 in Japan said that there is TSV 1860 Munich in the game, which means that the whole German League is in. Which also means that the Premiership and the French league will be in, because I can´t imagine Konami putting in the German league and not the complete English one. Without real names and kits of course. If this theory is true then we know already 114 teams, plus 22 good teams from weaker leagues like Celtic, Galatasaray, Anderlecht, Olympiakos etc.

I think it will just be the english, french, spanish, italian, dutch and german leagues in full. What other leagues would they add in full? If they put in the Portuguese league for example, then you would miss out on big teams from around europe because there are only 136 spaces.
The other 22 teams will be the usual best of the rest (Porto, Benfica, Galatasary etc) plus some new teams, eg. Besiktas, AEK Athens, FC Basel, Lokomotiv Moscow, Brondby, Steaua Bucharest etc, etc...
I think all the clubs will be european. No proof, I just have a feeling.

Hm..i think nowadays the Portuguese League is more competitive..even though Sporting,Benfica and Porto dominate the Championship some of the "poor level" teams have become more competitive...to give you an example...sh*t i don't think i can give you an example but compared to what it used to be the Portuguese League is more competitive i just know it lolol ;) ..most of Porto's players who won the Champions League are from teams in Portugal...from that you can see that Portugal has quality players!!
For example in the Dutch League apart from PSV,Feyenoord and Ajax which team has also won the league??(not sure about Feyenoord!)
You have the Boavista example a few years ago which did very well in the Champions League...from the Dutch League only PSV and Ajax made their mark in Europe!

Yes we won two Champions Cups in a row against Barcelona and Real Madrid.After that we got to more 5 Champions Cup finals but lost them all against AC Milan(twice), Internazionale, Manchester United and PSV.Until 1994/95 we've always had a good performance in European competitions.And last year also!But we've had lots of problems with Chairmans that's why we've been away from some time.From what we did last year and by keeping the most important players I think this year we have fairly good chances of making good campaigns in Europe, either in the UEFA Cup or in the Champions League.So don't worry Larsson,you'll be able to see a great Benfica this season! :D

Yeah, I noticed that "maybe Porto" thing too.. They've been one of the best portugese teams around consistently in recent years!! Whereas when have Braga been mentioned in the same breath as them, Sporting Lisbon and Benfica lately?
I think Skonto Riga should be in!! Heh. Nah.. But I do think maybe 2-3 scottish teams, top 3 or 4 greek teams, all french top division sides, top eastern europse sides etc would be good. You know - anyone likely to make it into the last 16 of either UEFA or champions league proper should be in it in an ideal world. I am glad they had Sparta Prague in the last one, for example.

Ive considered that too Lami. Id have thought the J-league would feature in the Japanese release of WE - does it? i havent seen anything to suggest it does. Seems strange, because lets face it, we all want to play with OUR team, not just the great ones.
Interesting point - I'd never, ever buy another Fifa game at the moment (last one was.. fifa 99 i think) but I went over to their 2005 site to have a look at how it compared, someone was saying how they made their screenshots look good. And I honestly have to say I DONT like the way the players look at all! This pleased me. If only Konami had the same licenses, the same commentary expertise, music ideas, crowd chants and so on.. the stadiums looked ok though.. but yeah - konami would simply KILL fifa games for good!! They just seem to have made it even more convoluted this year aswell! more buzzwords and trademarked devices which wont make gameplay any better at all, like that man off the ball shit that by all accounts didnt really work at all. The screenshts I actually didnt like much. Look weird. Id like to see a bit more TV style presentation on PES though.. i must say the FIFA games of late have looked quite nice in that respect. No biggie though. Oh, and I think the overhead stats view thing they had on.. 2003 i think i played at a mates? Where it shows shot positions, and tackle positions and so on.. i thought that was cool.
But anyway.. its amazing how much konami could do better in some aspects, but they still create FOOTBALL so many times better than FIFA its incredible. Thats what counts in the end, for me. So salutations to Konami, basically. In a few years.. just think what they could produce if all goes the way it seems to be, and they keep it real and progress the way we all hope they will...

Emblem is a badge i think. One thing i noticed though. On the main menu, when Edit mode is selected, there's a picture of a T Shirt with a pen writing on the front of it. Wishful thinking for a sponser editor i guess :)

on that picture in the center is a map of the world im assuming that a dot will come up on the map when you select a team showing you where in the world that team is located. What i found interesting about this is that its quite simple to see that the map is not just of europe its the whole world meaning those dots are coming up on places other then one portion of that map (Europe) which obviously means there are non-european teams right? also look under the map at the grey boxes these show that the currently selected teams are from europe as thats what is contained in the box now why have these boxes and the world map if only europe can be selected anyway. why would they use both and not just the one map or just the boxes. I honestly cant believe you guys didnt see this sooner as your all over-analyzers in the first place. lol come on guys! seriously?

Surely it wont be too much more than River Plate and Boca Juniors? I mean.. OK, maybe a few more but in terms of profiel most aren't very high up. I know Necaxa of Mexico I think and would know a few more, but.. I would rather see complete French league as well as English, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian instead of South American ones personally.
Think back to that Video of Liverpool vs Portsmouth - the flag waving for Liverpool appeared to be a variation of the Denmark flag - as in Second across and third down of section 1/4 - First, I think that could be an english teams section, and so it gives very little away if we're honest - also it tends to suggest that the flag bearing a resemblance to the Brazil flag in terms of design means nothing about South America, Id think - Liverpool aren't a danish team, yet their flag kinda is. And its probably like.. a Birmingham flag or something. With the mock emblemns, its impossible to say, and they obviously make up different flags using the design tools so they could just have done it by chance. The one next to the Liverpool seems to look like the one Leeds are traditionally allocated on PES aswell.
Just noticed in that video - that wall is SO badly positioned! Also.. Im pretty sure they had water splashes looking similar in PES3, or am I just imagining it?

Has anyone looked at the WE8 and WE7;I video demos off the konami site side by side. i just did and what i say might actually surprise you(or maybe not :) ) But I really notice how much in WE7 the players were gliding over the pitch while in WE8 it looks like they're actually more well grounded. The players even have more nervousness to them. that's what makes it all so real they look as if they're shaking,but not stuttering ;) . Plus the lighting HAS been fixed,it's just that you have to see both side to side. Overall the graphics (from the player models to the stadiums) look more crisp. Animations are also more fluid. the only thing that looks similiar is the design of the overall game. It looks like they just tweaked the game to make it look better and feel better. With as many people that buy it year after year they have to make it that way so as not to get gamers saying"ehh same as last years" you know. This way they make it as if you are buying a whole new game yet feel familiar enough with it that you can pick up on it.
I wouldn't waste too much time over-analysing those flags people. If you look at past games you will realise that the default flags are woefully inaccurate compared to the teams real flags, often being totally different colours to that of the team.
And someone said that South American teams will be in because one of the flags looks like the Brazilian one! LOL! I still think it will be only European teams.

On the top right look at the team name that is selected. It begins with VfB but follows with japanese writing. I don't think there are any other teams that begin with VfB, so this must mean that Stuttgart are definetely in the game. :)

what you mean done nothing wrong. he knows that the game was stolen. buying stolen stuff is not a good thing to do, plus if it was sold on the day of release things wouldnt get to big.

Out of interest - it does of course look very much like the Premiership will remain unlicensed this year, even for PES4.
But is there anything being done, any efforts being made by Konami to secure the Premiership license and get that monopolising Fifa agreement shit overturned? If not for this season, then next?

Cduin, why do you think they will have a full unlicensed French league, have I missed something, I know I said something a while back about Konami and the French FA patching things up but are theygonna do the full league??
I think it just seems to fit, TB. And if oyu think about it, they can surely do it unlicensed anyway? This way theyd basically have the 6 best full leagues in Europe. Bloody magnifique!
Well, 138 teams is enough to put 6 full leagues in, and that would be the best six of europe (Italy, Spain, England, Germany, France and Holland). The flags from the teams that I (and others) say are from france match colour, only some german flags dont. It would fit perfectly. There would be a very small chance that the number of the teams on that two pages match the number of clubs from that six leagues, when it isnt true what I say..

I'd prefer the six full leagues, no offence to people that support teams outside them, but it would make the game seem more real with European teams going into the cup competitions every season and a league full of teams from one country.

Yeah me too but you'd miss out on teams like dinamo kiev, porto, basle, lokomotiv moscow, celtic and rangers etc.

full leagues would be awesome but the only way you can compete with other league team is in champions league.

When this teams are in the game, then there are (18+18+20+20+20+18=) 114 teams from full leagues, wich means there are 22 teams left, of which two are PES and WE united. The last twenty could be like this: From PES3: Anderlecht, Dynamo Kyev, Celtic, Rangers, Porto, Sporting, Benfica, Lokomotiv Moscow, Spartak Moscow, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos. The last seven could be:
Rosenborg, Basel, AEK Athens, Shakthar Donetsk, Djurgardens, Club Brugge, Sturm Graz or something, it makes all sense, because they have all the old teams, a lot more teams from ''the six''', and 7 more teams of the ''rest''. Let it be this way, please!!!
Edit: Yes, Thanks AfroJoe, when i go down the list, It all matches perfect, the colours and everything (Except Rostock). When it wouldn't be this way, why did they leave open the last places, the black boxes? It all matches perfect. Imagine: ALL TEAMS FROM ENGLAND, ITALY, SPAIN, HOLLAND, FRANCE AND GERMANY!!! found it so strange before, why dit they edit the place of the leagues? in the part where they show the screen where you can choose your team, the italian league was lined up first, than dutch, then spanish, english, france and germany. On this pic (league format), They first have england, than France, than Germany, than Spain, Holland, and last Italy. Because they had'nt had the licenses on this pic!, im sure this screen is changed afterwards, and now does have the correct line up, (italian, dutch, spanish, english, france and germany) Anybody understand me?
