Well well well... Its good to be back!!!

Here is the.. first i guess, translation patch of our beloved
WE8.

ENjoy!!

First:

YOU NEED FOR THIS PATCH:

A CLEAN JAPANESE *DVD* ISO (yes ISO) IMAGE OF THE GAME!!!!

file lenght: 2,458,384,384 we8.iso

then apply the patch.


Contents:

Most Menus, options, (team names) and dialogs except.

Edit Mode, Formation and Master League/League. These are not done/incomplete.

For the ppl who likes % its about 20% i guess. Not Sure how big could be though.You can find pictures of the patch in the forums (p1.jpg to p32.jpg):

Use ppf-o-matic3 to apply this patch to the ISO of your WE8 and then burn using Nero/Alcohol 120% etc. Stop asking how to use this patch and read the guides.

This patch is only for the DVD version.
You patch the DVD image and then burn it using a DVD-writer.
Sorry mate.

Hopefully there will be a different version for the CD-rip at a later date.

If i was desperate to download the patch i could use my uncles DVD writer but the patch isnt that great ....only 20% done that practically a waste of a DVDR lol.....
I think ill wait for more patches to be made :D

I have burned the patch down here works good and nice to see english text again even though all of us who have played winning eleven for some years probably find our way around anyway .....
i belive this patch is more for people who cant stand the jap letters .....i will probablyt not burn any more patches now until a good one with kits and real names/transfers are in it and ofcoure i miss solidus chants .... that really makes a fantastic game even better ..... so to all people who work with the patches keep on you are doing a fantastic job :)

Basically, you need to use ppf-o-matic3 to apply this patch to the ISO of your game and then burn the ISO (on the slowest speed possible as usual).

I'm not going at you Zyg, but why do people always burn on the slowest speed ? It doesn't make any difference nowadays, maybe like 2 years ago but not now. Burning on the maximum is no problem just makes you not have to wait for like an hour to burn it.

Over on evo-web, Fernando said he did the patch for DVD first because he knew those who had the dvd version owned the original and all respect was due to Konami etc. Well that’s great. Anyway, a dvd-rip version will come out soon for those of you who downloaded it! Anyway, you guys telling Fernando to get a move one, just shut up. He has to do his own work, look after kids etc. He’s doing this for free, those who want him to hurry up, send him a cheque!

Yeah and burning at lower speeds is better for the PS2, and dvd rips arent healthy at all for the ps2.

i think im gonna try this patch, its only 20% and it would be a waste of a DVD-R but it doesnt matter because i wasted about 3-5 DVD-R on WE7i to test out different types of patch so this one wouldn't hurt. i just hope Fernando will come up with a update pathch for this so the translations will be 100% accurate. :D cheers Fernando

The game itself is freeking awesome, the game is incredibly difficult, I wish they had Spanish commentators though lol, the english commentators dont show any emotion, the Japanese even though i cant understand them they at least say "golgolgolgolgol Gol!" lol And the spanish commentators go all out on the commetating they keep the game alive and not boring. i must say though this is the first incarnation that i havent found much more difficult to play at first. i remeber when pro ev 2 and 3 came out it took a while to start winning, but in this one i won my first few games on five star, not to say its easy though but i think the 6 star option is totally needed, especially for once we have all played it for a while. ive put it on just now, nice to test yourself! and i like the rotiero ball, a nice touch.

yea DVD-RW sounds good, but its too expensive, they only come in pack, i cant buy single ones. plus it sort of wears out your DVD writer drive because it has to erase the info before you can burn again.

Hi Fernando briliiant work as usual, just have a problem tough did everything correctly i think , made an iso patched it ppf o matic 3 then burned the iso, but when i put in the ps2 game starts ok and runs ok but everything is still in japonese, whats wrong plus my iso is only 2.057.714kb maybe this has something to do with it and if so why or how do i make it bigger. otherwise i havent a clue how to do it. if so can you please do a quick tutorial explaining exactly how you did it in what you used and the settings of the program you used ... thnks for your hard work.,

Thosw arguing for a DVD Rip patch, you can do it yourself now!!!! Yeah I know you are very happy!

Step 1. BUY IT-WE8 from Play Asia, Lik-Sang
Step 2. Get Fernando's patch
Step 3. Get PPF-o-Matic (do a serch before asking)
Step 4. Get Alcohol 120% (do a search before asking)
Step 5. Make an .ISO of the DVD with Alcohol 120%
Step 6. Patch that .ISO with PPF-o-Matic
Step 7. *Theoretically* Run the new Rip-Kit on the .ISO
Step 8. *if nessissary* Create the cue file.
Step 9. Burn the new CD image.
Step 10. Please stop bothering people to release things for you if you are too ignorant to support the game companies.

Easy, and it has been tested and it works, you can use this until the real 100% patch comes out.

This has already been answered. And you need to check the beginner's guide in the sticky thread in the Editing section. Apply the patch to the image with ppf-o-matic3.

just to add it in, for all you out there having troubles with dvd-r/rw and stuff. i got a normal maxtor hard disk, 40gig, 29 quid from my local wee shoppy, and the ps2 network adaptor from john lewis for 16.99. thats only 45 quid, as much as some new games. now i need never burn another dvd, just hook up my ps2 harddrive to my pc with a usb cable, or in my case internally cause i dont have a hdd caddy, and there are good programs which will transfer an image of a dvd/cd on to it real quickly (about 10mb/s) it makes it real easy to patch games without having to burn multiple dvds (one for each new patch). also all games load quicker. there is also official ps2 hard drives out there, somewhere, but i reckon they will be over priced. oh yeh and it saves on the ps2 laser, cause it only has to use it on startup, not all through the game.

Patch the ISO using ppf-o-matic3 as usual and burn onto DVDR.
If you don't have a DVD-writer, then you'll have to try the ripping method to put it onto CDR.

i patched the dvd iso with ppf-o-matic and this patch, didn't give errors. then i patched it with DR_XRAY_W8_DVD_SLPM_656.57 and burned the iso. boots fine till the playstation logo then just black. cannot even reset, have to power cycle the ps2. any idea if it could be one of the two patches gone bad?

Thats the main part of an argument Zyg, everyone name calls and insults each other, even Tony ''Arse Kissing'' Blair insults rival conservatives. Whats funny is how much attention I got from Fernando and i'm just a nobody member at PESInsight :) .
And their is no way that I would not be able to obtain translation patches, theirs is no way I can be stopped from doing it, thats like trying to stop every human being in this world from driving without a license :rolleyes: it's almost impossible.

Have wendetta made a full patch for we7i yet with all strips done? if they have does this mean that we won't have too long a wait for a fully patched version of we8. I know we7 took a long time for everyone to crack because apparently konami made it harder for people to crack the coding but does anyone know if there are any such problems with we8?

i think so mate, mostly patches change the game so you have to start a new Option File. if you load you old option file the game might mess up, at least thatw what happens to me. :D try deleting the old option file and making a new one.

It depends on what you have changed.
If you have added new teams then you will have to change those on the file. Otherwise you don't need a new file at all.


To all the people that are not getting the correct size for the iso , happened to me wasted about 12 dvds, used dvd decrypter went in to options changed all setttings to default, bottom left hand corner, then accept and restart your pc, then went in again put original game in dvd-rom and changed mode to iso read, before you start burning you can see the size i think to the left and to my suprise it was correct, it will say 2.400.768 or something but it ok when you burn it then select the iso and properties you can see the size is actually (2.458.386.432 bytes) and is correct... before when i did the iso i was only getting 1.600.866 or something and before the patch was even applied. dont know why this happened or how but thats what i did , hope it helps.

1. Use DVD Decrypter and make and ISO image of WE8
2. Open PPF-O-Matic and patch the ISO
3. Burn the Patched WE8 ISO with DVD Decrypter.
4. Enjoy the game.

If you don't have WE8 then thats pretty stupid, but if you do. Use ''Alcohol 120%'' to produce the image of WE8. By inserting the game into your PC. Then use ''ppf-o-matic'' to apply the Fernando patch to the ''WE8 Image''. Then burn, vwalah.

Can i just put the your PPF file burn again with these japanese version files?

You should keep a clean image of your game on your PC. Then you can patch the copy of the clean image with a new patch and burn.

Once your disk is burned, you can't do anything to it.
You're a bit confusing with your CDR and 2GB talk so not sure about that.

The beginner guide is about PES 3 no Pes 4 , there is a part that talks about a file that you have to touch for removing the disc protection of course this file does not exist becouse Pes 4 is different than the 3rd!!

For me the game is cool but it's still in Japan yet!!

i used the DVD Decrypter to make the WE8 .ISO image (size about 2.4+ gig) and ppf-o-matic3 for applying the patch then burn the image using Nero with 1x speed(the slowest speed)....but still i cant play the patched WE8 version why is that? btw im using the V4 mod chip (using the AR2 and a boot disc). and did the whole process again with another new DVD-R disc....n same result...

Is it because of the DVD-R disc(purple) im using..? Some DVD disc are Gold and Silver....

Yep i have that, it works great, just burn the bin cue on a cdr and boot with it and load the saves on ur MEMcard and reboot with WE8 u wil see that u wil have 99% al names in english and al the things in WEshop.

Best thing what u can do is get the new fernando patch and this memcard saves then u wil be hooked up real with WE8. ;)
