need help with abbreviations!!

could anyone tell me ( or tell me where to find! ) the meanings of the abbreviations for the player positions? eg: WG, SMF etc..........
i bought the game second hand on the cheap and there was no manual!!

I thought you would've known being a football fan but here they are:

GK: Goalkeeper
CBW: Sweeper
CBT: Centre Back
SB: Full Back
DMF: Defensive Midfielder
CMF: Centre Mid
SMF: Side Midfielder
OMF: Attacking Mid
WG: Winger
CF: Centre Forward

i do know the positions but the abbreviations aren't obvious - it's them yanks getting in on our language. things like CBW for sweeper and SB for full back don't stand out and what's a side midfielder when he's at home?

Ok the either a left mid or a right midfielder, thats a side mid.

SB is technically a Side Back.
OMF is Offensive Midfield.

Yeah i know that, i just figured he understand full back and attcking mid more, coz he didn't understand what a side mid was:confused:

I've turned to thinking of it as Offensive Mid rather than Attacking mid due to the game.

I think in the position select screen, you can press select and it briefly explains the positions.
The little running men help out too.

They changed a few of the letters from PES1 and they might do it again for PES3 to confusitgate us more....
