I dont have sky and just looked through the schedules and the only game on normal TV is the Northern Ireland one on BBC1... There aren't even any highlights of the England game on!! Does anybody know if highlights are actually gonna be shown or not?

What an absolute fucking disgrace of a football match that was. Eriksson clearly doesn't have a clue what he is doing. He needs to make some big changes for the Poland game or we're gonna be even worse against them. Smith + Bridge out, Defoe + Wright-Phillips in.
Owen, Beckham, Smith, Bridge, James were all crap tonight.

I agree with BazHilder, Owen, Beckham, Smith, Bridge and James were all awful today. Defoe and Wright-Phillips should definitely start the next game and Robinson too.

What's Sven still doing in the job? I specifically told everyone I knew that Sven is a tactically-inept swedish wanker, yet somehow that information failed to make it the FA. That was before the World Cup as well, since then my regime has gained a lot of momentum and the useless Swede is now hanging on to the job by the skin of his teeth.
I suppose James, Beckham and Smith being absolute shite doesn't help his cause, but if he could use the quality players like Terry, Cole, Gerrard, Lampard and Owen properly then we could've still won that game 5-0, even with the above mentioned three playing awfully.

55 points times the odds of 2.3 gives 126.5 plus your stake of 55 gives you a grand total of 181.5
Because you're not betting against other punters. You're betting against the bookmakers.
If winners win the money that losing punters wagered, my gut feeling is that the entire gambling industry may well collapse.
You put 55 on 23/10 odds, which means you get your original 55 back, plus (55 x 2.30). What other punters wagered is not proportional to your pay out.

For so long, there seems to be no backup plans if Beckham, Owen are not in form, or anyone to replace James. Don't blame James, since we all know, like ten years ago he makes these sort of blunders!!! Why pick him!?
The guy Eriksson is on 4 fucking milion pounds a year for christ sake!!!
What he has done is no better than Hoddle, Venebles or even Keegan.

He's record is good, but consider this, the way he beat Argentina was by employing 10 defenders, even Owen was back defending! And Germany, well, do u think this is the Germany of old? They got to the World Cup final by a lot of luck, beating teams like US, South Korea, etc.
And a lot of praise was throw at England's defence, just look at Greece.
But I agree with u, they are stuck with him, I can't really see him winning the World Cup though, England need the luck they have ever have to win the Cup in Germany!!
If u lose, lose gracefully, at lest play some football. England can't even strung together two passes in Euro 04! Take away Rooney and Lampaed, they are just the same team from WC 02.

Its the old game of relying on a few players. Beckham doesnt seem to have the hunger anymore and Owens head is often down. Perhaps the buggers can gel at Real? I was really happy that happened from a national point of view. But we have to give other people a chance and make them viable alternatives when people underperform. Imagine if an eager Smith, Shaun WP or anyone had taken Becks place in Euro 2004?
I think Vassell should get some praise... hes always been good for England. And perhaps its a blessing in disguise that Ginger has retired... frees up the midfield a little. We were at a point where it was Becks, Gerrard, Scholes and Lampard whatever their form... well we will see on Wednesday. I will watch that one for sure.
