General funky info:
Use square brackets, like [ ] with suitable code to make funky things happen.
I will use the { } brackets to show examples but you need to use the [ ] square brackets for the code to work. If I used square brackets in the example, the code would take effect and you wouldn't see how it was done. Anyways.....

To open a new thread you simply click on the New Thread button: http://forum.pesinsight.com/images/buttons/newthread.gif
Try not to open a repeat thread - use the Search (http://forum.pesinsight.com/search.php?) option to see if a thread that you want to open already exists. Chances are that it will be somewhere so you can just reply in that thread instead of opening a new thread.
And try not to open rubbish threads either.
The Edit Button:
It's not a good thing to post just after you have posted. Are you replying to yourself? If you want to add something, it's best to click on the EDIT button which is at the bottom of your post and then you add change your original message as you see fit. If you want to make it clear that you edited your message, then you can write at the bottom of the post:
Edit: I added something to the message blablabla....
But that's entirely up to you.

To quote another post, click on the Quote button at the bottom of that post. Your reply will begin with a quote of that message. Edit the message to keep the relevent part in your message. Or leave it all in. Up to you.

You can also use combinations of the above codes. Just remember that everything you open needs to be closed with a {/} bracket too. The order you close code in doesn't really matter.
