PESInsight LIVE
============

With Pro Evolution Soccer 4 finally going online, many of you are no doubt eager to play people from around the globe! The PESInsight LIVE tournaments will help you do this, whilst also offering some big prizes.

The tournaments will only be available to members of PESInsight LIVE. To ensure everyone who signs up is actually wanting to play and not just waste ours and indeed other gamers time, there is a nominal £2.50 membership fee. This provides you full membership to PESInsight LIVE for one-year after registering.

All members should already have XBox LIVE and a gamer tag, but this is not requirement. Once your payment has been verified, you will gain access to an exclusive PESInsight LIVE area.

Tournament Rules
=============

Each of the tournaments will be run by an appointed PESInsight Referree. A certain degree of trust is of course involved, but we expect the membership fee should reduce the amount of 'rogue' players. There will be a variety of different tournaments, ranging from Club Team Leagues to World Cup style competitions. Depending on the prizes up for grabs, additional fee's may be payable to take part in certain tournaments. Each tournament game will have its own settings. These will be outlined in the post for that particular tournament. Any player found to be purposely not following these rules may face elimination from that particular tournament.

Refunds
======

Should, for any reason, the online play in XBox LIVE is not up to scratch, we will issue refunds to any members who signed up in advance of playing PES4 online. We will not give refunds to those people who cannot play online for reasons such as they do not have an XBox!

there will be a variety of tournaments. The main one will be a league system. Players will play a range of qualifying games to determine which league they go in. Winners of these leagues can then get promoted etc.

what about people that can't pay via paypal (my country is not listed and I can't pay via their service) ... is there any alternative? [maybe egold or stormpay? ]

I can accept a cheque but only in pounds sterling, likewise with currency.

I expect the first official tournament to be organised within the first few days of the release of PES4 on Xbox... this will give you all plenty time to play friendly games against each other :)

prizes on offer will depend on the number of participants. for the main championship, i hope to be able to offer something worth at least £250, but like i say, it depends.

Ok i am a fussy bugger, How does the online tournament actualy work? for example if i sign into Xbox live will there be a section with online tournaments i go to? and if for example if i can't get online on the day of my match what will happen? also surely there will be a limit to how many ppl can join? also the tournament shud be arranged a while after its release cos i don't want to join a tournament and play competitive matches on the day of the release cos personally i believe it will take some getting used to using the xbox controller after using the excellent ps2 for so long. btw isn't some other guy already arranged an online league in this very forum except for free ;)

Just received my controller converter cable so I can now use my PS2 controller on my XBOX

Just a quick question: Does playing XBOX Live take up a lot of bandwidth from my connection?

You should be able to use your computer when your on xbox live with no major effects, the xbox wont slow down the pc to a recogniseable level, as it doesnt for me anyways. But if somebody is using your pc at the same time the only problem you may face is your Xbox might lag, so your xbox is affected not your pc.

As for the league, ill look into joining maybe, im sure any fee scares off some people, id have to pay by check if i did though, but i need an address. But i might be too busy with the PPL league!

Hope it all goes well for you in your league hitman!

Nice league, can you give some more explained information about people who are already in, any special rule?
or yeah maybe we should wait for pes4 to come out and then make the rules?
you know, we gotta see how that live thing works and how pes4 will work on live...

But anyways its good beforehand to know that there will be many tourneys and players around pes4 from XboX .
God damn it!!! anyone wants a ps2 with pes3+x-port?? :S

Sux sux why not online for ps2? waste of money dude.
And you want me to waste more money in joining this league?pufff

let me see how my wallet is after buy xboX+kit+pes4 and then we'll see. :P

regards.

yes but the guy organising the league isnt offering big prizes like we will be :-) we are also hoping to link up with xbox world magazine to create even bigger tournaments/prizes.

the leagues/cups i guess will be organised in a similar fashion to mattshez's, but much better management and, like i say, prizes.

mine is more of a one-off tourney, but i will hopefully join this league, if you could just give us the details so we are able to post you checks (i dont have paypal!)

As your leagues will be lasting longer than my tourney (unless all runs smoothly over here) Im not trying to stop people from entering, what even i would call a much more..... proffesional league. So please dont think im trying to stop you in any way, id do anything for the site!

07-09-2004, 19:05
im not at all thinking that, i think its great people want to organise stuff like this here :) so good luck with it definatley.

the membership fee, although im sure some people thinks its silly, its just really to prevent any "rogue" players joining. we dont want people saying they want to play but then not show up for games etc... so hopefully a membership will stop this (people wont want to miss things they paid for :))

Checks can be mailed to:

Peter Willis

Billy Row
Crook

Can you explain more about how it all works. So i go and buy myself a xbox and xbox live get connected up and then subsribe to your league. Then i log onto xbox live and search for pesinsight live tournement? I'm not fully sure how pro evo online works. Is there leagues when i log on to pro evo 4 online? All i know about is online exhbition's and penalties. Wat options are there when people long onto pro evo 4 online.

hitmanuk2k
07-09-2004, 19:54
as far as i know the xbox live system for pes4 will not be very advanced, certainly nothing like fifa's. so we will be running everything from here where we can keep it organised, we will ask you to submit your scores, but confirming everything with xbox (who can share the result with us upon request thanks to their rating system) to prevent any cheating/disputes.

hereticboy
07-09-2004, 19:59
But can I mail in cash? ;)

07-09-2004, 21:26
I think PES4 online will be a simple affair, it does'nt need to be flashy, like what hitmanuk2k said we can organise/manage the leagues etc on the web rather than slowing down a server with crap. Microsoft and Konami will leave all that to the enthusiasts to handle. As long as they provide decent fast servers thats all we need.

Remember we still have sometime before its released in mid November so I'm sure hitman will answer your questions about rules ect nearer the time.

One thing I would recommend though is for anyone who thinking of joining be best have a decent broadband coonection,,,, at least a 512k connection.

hitmanuk2k
07-09-2004, 21:29
yes sure, cash is fine. be sure to include your forum username in the envelope

you will gain access to the pesinsight live forum, and become registered for a year allowing you to take part in the official pesinsight tournaments

UD Capo

I hope you can accept cash.

Well anyways this fee isnt much deal, and can give the capital for the winners prize despite you didnt get any sponsor for this tourney.

But np stil PES4 isnt out, you will see how in few months we'll have sponsor with big prizes to support tourneys and leagues, i'm sure of that.

So anyways it's nice to you "Hitman" to be one of the very first "organizers" of an online event for PES4 ...^__^

Btw when is the deadline for the sign up?
I hear PES4 will be out in late November, so we stil have a lotta time .....many things can happen.

ok ty i'll join if all go good for me.

hitmanuk2k
07-09-2004, 22:04
there is no deadline, this membership will be available all year round as tournaments will start and end all the time, although one main league will run for a long time

pure
09-09-2004, 10:29
So will there be second and third prizes to be won? I think money is deffently the best prize. Wat kind of money prizes are we looking at.

hitmanuk2k
09-09-2004, 10:39
well that depends on numbers, obviously :)

pure
09-09-2004, 11:26
How would money be sent? Pay pal. How many have signed up so far. Advertise it on other pes sites. More people will proberlly sign up nearer the time of release.

hitmanuk2k
09-09-2004, 11:29
yea so far we have 10 members, there are many many more who will be signing up closer too and after the release of pes4.

pure
09-09-2004, 11:41
Shouldent you have like 15 in one league then another 15 in another league. It would be a bit strange with 40-50 in one league or something. Or maybe you could start off with a few leagues and the best players from each league go in to 'The champion league' . You get my drift. Prize money still available in each league but the champion league will be maybe a little extra money. Dont know but its all very exciting and i need to go buy myself a xbox as soon as possible.

pozmu
09-09-2004, 11:51
hitmanuk2k: please do something with payment, use some world-wide accessible system, becouse mailing cash is... hmmm, stupid idea? Or maybe I don't get something right... You wrote that there will be also adittional fees for each of torunament, right? So we need to pay:
1. Membership fee +
2. Enter fee for each tournament we want to play,

right?
If so, then the "pay by mail" option is bad... Becouse stamps and envelopes will cost us 50% of fees or smth (international mail)

hitmanuk2k
09-09-2004, 18:25
paypal is a world wide system. any other systems would prohibit the same countries that paypal does. the reason your country may not be listed by paypal is because fradulent accounts have been made in your countries name. their are simply no other convinient/cost-effective options for us at this time

pozmu
10-09-2004, 10:43
paypal is not world wide it supports about 30 countries (and many of the only in one direction, so you can only pay), there are many other systems that are equal popular and secure but provides worldwide coverage e.g. egold (http://egold.com ) or stormpay (http://stormpay.com ). No support for my country isn't result of fraud accounts, becouse there was never support for Poland in Paypal (why? well, their suport is only a robot sending faq so it's difficult to aks any question to them). Ok, I will just play in the other, free tournaments....

10-09-2004, 15:37
I would definately be up for this, but obviously we have a bit of time to wait before it starts. Also, not knowing how XBOX LIVE! works, how are we going to make sure all the scores given are legit?

I think at first anyway, all the members should just be placed in random league, based on what star level they play, and then after a few rounds players will even themselves out to where they actually should be.

hitmanuk2k
10-09-2004, 17:01
everything will be organised, and like ive said, for the main leagues there will be qualifying tournaments to decide which league you go into.

we ask all members to submit scores to us, but where there is a dispute, we have contacts at xbox live who can provide scores to us. any members who submit false information will be banned from the tournaments

nifty
10-09-2004, 17:09
this sound reli heavy, i have an x-box and i'm linked 2 the internet wid it, i'm looking ward 2 this, the membership fee dont seem dat bad, its fairly cheap. is it possible to team up with other users in the same team?

11-09-2004, 15:45

that would be fun

So can you tell me how many people have signed up so far? I wanna sign up but only if there is a good amount of people signing up to play.

Zygalski
27-09-2004, 11:46
Makes sense to assume that the matches will be played as exhibition matches and the results noted and calculated to give leagues etc.

If you're not sure about signing then hang on a while. Someone will let you know if you're missing anything.

ok so i did some reading and the leagues are on their way and there is no more spots left. That's just great. What i didn't find is a thread where you can sign up for a reserve list. Is there such a thread or is it just a case of keeping my ears to the streets by checking this site regularly for new openings in the leagues? I am new to this site so i would appreciate it if somebody would excuse my ignorance and reply to this post.

Thanks.

If anyone wants to get a go to see if I a am a contender: my gamertag is ValsSpeler
