Butragueno a striker as well, know as "the Vulture", playing for Real in the mid 1980s, along with Michel, Valdano etc.

Hugo Sanchez was a midfielder, captained Real Madrid in mid 1970s I think.

hi ,seems like you re a bit nostalgic i m too . maybe i can help i am a spanish long time real follower and i made a "classic" real you ve forgeted some important players such as gallego, martin vazquez ,lasa, alkorta etc... i also read that hugo sanchez was a midfielder in fact he s the most important striker after puskas his numbers are just amazing he also became famous by scoring dozens of chilenas and celebrating with a flip if you have any ask just post me here im trying to find back a site where they have a huge list of european matches since the begining with players names.

Yes, I'm hoping Raul is in as well, he's Real Madrid's second best player ever, and his Champions League goal-scoring record in second only to Di Stefano, although it's only a matter of time when he's overtaken by Raul.

For current players, not over-doing, I'll include Zidane, UEFA's best player in 50 years, in this classic Real side, as well as the best left-back ever, Roberto Carlos, I don't think many of you will disagree with my choices.

Figo, Beckham, Samuel, Owen, Makelele, Casillas and Morientes are not bad players as well, but I won't want to be over-doing by including too many current players in a classic side.

So, Roberto Carlos, Zidane and Raul :D
