Nearly finished option file!

ok heres the first WE7 X-port option file made by Me and Kezman

as u read its a beta and as u will all mostly be patching the game soon we though u may as well have this now instead of us finishing it off and people not wanting it.

All but 3 or 4 national teams are fully english, a few clubs teams are done but not many and all the main transfers are done.

We need feedback as well because we may do a transfer save for the translation patch.

I found a nice mistake in that option file, there is Feyenoord Amsterdam :D :cool: instead of Rotterdam.

Another mistake: Shirt names not changed, e.g. Czech or Dutch player have the default, not their original names on shirt, I corrected it on some players.

There is major work going on by Kezman and friends and there are loads of people sending in corrections for club and national squads, including formations and lineups. This new option file should be finished soon and I will let you know about it when it is.

The option file is free and all you need to do is buy an X-Port for £17.99 and then click on a link to download the files you want to your hard disk, like

Option file is very small and can fit on a floppy disk too.

Option files only include what can be edited in the game. Players and clubs detail, including names and other stats.

ad boards and translations (and kits and balls etc) need a patch.
Check the Editing section for the latest news on patches.

This one is supposed to have most of the transfers done up to Veron's move. No C. Ronaldo transfer yet either but it's easily done as the 3,000 and 10,000 WEN modes have been bought already on it.

A couple of kits are done but nothing special yet.

It's just a beta version as they are working on a mega one with EVERYTHING corrected for ALL teams. Should be out soon. Keep checking here for it.

Basically it's as mentioned earlier. All transfers fixed and all teams lineups and formations sorted too. Names are in English.

Just have to wait for the X-Port to arrive so I can test it out, reckon I might have it by 2mora, play.com are usually good at these things ;)

No. Get an X-Port - £17.99 saves you a lot of time editing. Plus you can save all your goals onto your hard disk so you won't have to delete them forever.

I know that being a mod sometimes can be hard, so I figure if I can help you out by redirecting questions if I can, and answering questions that haven't been asked millions of times....but yeah, there are a majority of people who just post wherever they want to get the quickest response....you know what its like over at the Evo-Web boards, I just don't want it to get like that over here

Just to let people know:

When playing a match, your strategy buttons won't show after using the option file unless you pause the match, Screen Setup then change Tactic Menu to ON.

Or for those without a translation patch, pause a match, 6th option then change the bottom option.

Okay.. The X-port that people are talking about seems to be the only way to copy the option-file to the memorycard. But here is a question: Isn't it possible to use a portable harddisk and plug it into the USB-port on the Ps2?

It might be possible. As long as it has a USB connection and you are able to run the X-Port software on it, you should be able to. Not sure if this can be done without other bits too.

Running the software is the key.

I noticed a couple of errors now, generally it´s one big mistake, a lot of teams are completely underrated ! A couple of them are Anderlecht (saw them playing in CL-qualifications), Spartak Moscow, Sparta Prague, Ajax, PSV, that teams I noticed so far that are quite underrated.

How do you change the formations, coz the ones on the evo web option file are all wrong ?

actually, georginho, Kezman got the formations from users in Evo-web....there was a whole thread on formations

To edit the formations, go to Club Edit then choose the bottom option. It looks like the formation screen and you can change the formation, line-up etc.

Most of the formations I've seen on the option file seem right, even with Kewell playing as RMF for Liverpool. But I did have to edit the Brazil kit back to the original as the colours looked wrong.

2. Im trying WE7... it seems I cant do a long high cross from the far post... when I press O .. the players kicks it straight out and almost doesnt come off the ground... in WE6 i just press O and I get to do the long lobbing cross to the goal area... what do i do?

1. To use all these downloadable option files you need a x-port...

See Zyg's thread....HERE (http://forum.pesinsight.com/showthread.php?t=1113). The option file is like your own except someone has gone into edit mode and changed the names of the players manually.

2. Try holding L1 before crossing, remember running also effects your crossing ability and don't forget what direction you hold when you cross the ball. Also check your long ball settings (in control config), just incase ;)
