I'll beleive it when i see iot in the papers tomorrow. Its getting out of hand this Chelski spending spree now though.
Thats a bargain! Chelsea are very lucky. They may be able to challenge Man Utd and Arsenal for the Premiership now.

how much did they pay for him, Buying great players does not mean that they will be a great team
they got Veron, but still a bit skeptical of getting Vieri
he may be quite old but chelsea will still get about 4 or 5 years out of him. He is also a world class striker who will almost certainly guarantee you goals. If I was a chelsea fan I would be well happy.

I don't live in England but follow international football quite a lot and as I heard that a russian billionair bought Chelsea I had so many questions and I want to ask them now, answers would be appreciated.
Why did this guy buy the club?
(Is it his fav. club, is he just crazy, did he want to buy his son a present??? I mean Chelsea is a noble and well known club but, why not buying Real, Barca or Arsenal?)
What do other English fans think about this?
(I mean I'd feel a little cheated if somebody comes around and buys so many top stars with money the club didn't make itself)
How rich is this quy acutally?

I haven't heard anything about that (dream team) so I don't know. What I have heard though is that Samuel Eto'o may be on his way to Chelsea in a £12.6M deal.
eto'o would be a good buy as he is a good young talent-see his goal against brazil i the confederations cup that was very good. £12m seems a bit expensive for someone who has not really proven themselves that much if i was a chelsea fan i would much rather have vieri

Vieri is staying with inter, ranieri said in a press conference today.
i doubt they will get both. if the press conference was right then you would think that chelsea will realy want to get eto'o. apparantly they want to get rid of hasselbeink so a replacement is needed

well if he did go it would make the premiship a lot more interesting a three hores race so to speak
forssell did well when he went on loan to a german club last year but chelsea will want a more proven striker-they will need it if they want to win the premiership. do you reckon they can win the premiership next season?

I don't think that Chelsea will win the league. Although if things aren't going to plan they can buy the solution. However, buying the world's best players might not neccessarily work out!

Chelsea have bought a lot of players but they are not all that good and they may not play well as a team, i feel if they get Vieri it will be their biggest deal, However i think Veron will do well at Chelsea as he will be in the team week in week out. However i though Zola was chelsea best player last season so they have lost some of their quality

i thought newcastle would build on last seasons good performance and be a threat for the title but they haven't really strenthened their squad. i think chelsea could do better than them next season

that does look like a strong team in midfield, defence and gudjonsen is class they need someone to parternship him
i agree. newcastle will be fourth. i think liverpool will struggle to keep up with the top four. they may have bought kewell but I don't think he will gel with the liverpool team very well

i can't see liverpool ahead of newcastle. i reckon they will have another poor season (lets hope so!!!) how do you think chelsea will do in the champions league. i reckon they could get to the quarter finals as long as they don't get drawn against too many top teams. because they finished fourth they probably will though

real sociedad? i know they did well in the spanish league last year but for most of their players it be the first time they have played european. probably not experienced enough. lazio may sneak in-they have got Stam!!!
I don't think Lazio or Sociedad will make it that far!
valencia will probably get there-they usually do despite being boring most of the time. munich should do better this year. don't know about deportivo though-losing makaay could be costly

he might if chelsea don't buy another striker. he scored a few good goals at the end of last season. i reckon they will get a new striker though
how do you reckon everton will do next season. i thought they were really unlucky to not make it into the UEFA Cup last season. i think they will get into it this year. its good that they have got rooney still

thats a poor reason to sell someone you paid £28m for!!! beckham will win loads at madrid-the treble is difficult for any team though. i'm sure he will be happy with winning the champions league and the spanish league!

your right about that fact. i think united are the only team who ever did the treble
10 seems a lot. none of them are really important players though (except for zola) they are a much better team this year

Abrohamovic is a Russian gangster, that's why he's loaded, and he has a fortune of £6.4 billion. I'd say 20 million is a bargain for Vieri, and I hate to say it, but I think Chelsea could be quite dominent this year, though, whether they will jell together is yet to be seen, that may took a year or two. Is crazy though! It hink Eto'o may come, Hasselbaink will almsot def. go, hope Gudjohnsen comes to Rangers :)

I reckon they may take 2nd. Think they will have a great start and then fall away. But have a storming final third of the season.
possibly. inconsistency will be their main problem

Think he will. Fergie was never willing to base the team around just one player in midfield. That is how Veron plays best. It was stooopid when Fergie did things like play Veron on the right?
veron played good on the right but he played good at lazio becuase the team was built to play around him and when wanted the ball, he got it. Thats why he was so effective at lazio.
