Last i heard was the release date will be begin 2004, but will probebly be delay due to club licence.

well, usually the games are released in november time.... so i cant really see why this could be any different..... although since we7 aint out yet, maybe it wont be till 2004

I have now the official release date of pes3 its is on 26 september 2003 and the bad news is that the masterleague is still for one human team only. The graphics are improved and commentary is much better but that was to be expected.

i have read in magazine's that pes3 will be out sumtime by the end of they year....... and i have seen on a site it has 3 pics and a cover (think the cover is fake) but it has this release date: Pro Evolution Soccer 3
Due for release on 26/09/2003

its on play.com .... the pics are from older version if we6... i think we6fe. nothing they have on their site is confirmed at all. the release date will not be september 26th, i dont care what they say.

Simply because WE6 was released a year and a month ago, and we haven't heard/ seen anything from WE7. which ias a little bit worrying.

The delay is most likely due to liscensing issues (Extending it and whatnot) so it's best to try and enjoy PES2.

People are always hyping up the next game they barely seem to be satisfied with what they've got.

WE6FE I think is out on cube import. But PES3 will not appear on cube as it is only the Sony!

yerh we6fe is on cube but only in NTSC Jap :( if it was in english i would get it for sure but i got no idea with jap.

That is news to me! I read in a PS2 mag that PES was a Sony exclusive. WE would be GC on import(in fact seem to remember that a GC mag said that too). But then again gameplay does just ads up like that to buy even b4 they know anything. Guess we'll see. Hypothetically, if PES3 is released on PS2 and GC...what version would people here buy? I'm guessing most of you will say PS2?

And of course we're not satisfied with PES2 when we saw how much better WE6:FE was with only 6 weeks difference in the releases.

PES2 was a major letdown and they owe us an amazing PES3.
November makes more sense than some of these other dates.

I have a GC too. Rogue Squadron is fab! And Super Monkey Ball 2, Super Mario Sunshine. So obviously this is a question for people with both consoles. Cos I guess I wouldn't buy a console for a game I could get on the console I already own!

They'd really miss out if they don't get it out for Xmas. They would surely want to capitalise on the fact that PES2 outsold FIFA at one point...try and build on that?

why would we not buy it though, its not really like we're sad. we have enjoyed the past few titles that Konami have produced for many years, (i actually have an ISS '99 for my gameboy) so they have given us days, literally, of entertainment. and now they have worked all year on developing a new and improved Pro-Evo, so we owe it to them for the stimulation of pes2 that we experience daily.

The xmas period is an essential time for the game industries. That's a fact. If they were stupid enough to wait until after this time they will lose out on a lot of money. Look at CM4!

i think fifa lovers are probably less devoted because of how quickly you can complete(i say complete, but i mean master) those games. whereas you can never really master PES, just try and be very good.

the other thing about FIFA is the refs only give fouls for obvious bad tackles, wheres PES has differing ref opinions, sometimes a step can be a foul. so it definitlely has a realistic edge over FIFA. the only things better about FIFA are the commentary(motty cannot be beat by anyone) and the depth of choice, many different leagues, many different teams, amazing. but everything else in PES is better.

FIFA 2003 is just too easy. I have a mate who brought it round and annoyingly he only likes to play vs (whereas I equally like co-op). So we played Man U (me) v Arsenal and sometimes Real. Had never played it. Lost one game all weekend! FIFA is just pick up and play... but no challenge. And the players all look like they have been mutated into neanderthal versions of themselves!

some faces are very good, actually, but then there are the generic faces, like jo mjallby's, just get you angry cuz they're so damned ugly and ratlike. plus, the best FIFA ever was FIFA 2001, but then that was also easy, but it was addictive.

I thought the likenesses were better in 2001. You're right that some of the 2003 are really good but most of them just look freaky.

PES2's rackling system is awful. You are pulled up for any and anything. It needs to be sorted.

but its realistic, it accounts for human error. have you ever tried doing an allstar game, you almost cannot get sent off because it is so fair. so i prefer realism rather than nothing at all.

the boots stick out,i can tell some players apart from their boots. also, the x works when youre tugging at a guys shirt, just keep hitting it and your guy will bear in and kindof fairly trip the guy, the computer always does it to you and gets away with it, so you will too. but square really doesnt do anything, you're right there. they should use that for like, "stick on your man" or something like that.

yeah, maybe, i suppose that [] could be use for actually putting your body in(maybe called checking if you do it right) a challenge, rather than just your legs. there should also be more animations for injuries, it isnt always a leg injury. there should be head clashes and bad falls which break arms, rather than just sticking their ass in the air holding their ankle or rolling holding their knee(derlei perhaps?)

WE7 will have bandaged heads for injuries apparently. Have to have an unlockable Terry Butcher with bleeding bandage and then bleeding awful commentary! lol

More injuries adds to the realism. So I agree. Though are we not straying too far onto the managment side of the game?

i think management could be an option, but then, it wouldnt tell you what the injury is. im just saying that the injury delay should be the same, but the animations should be diff.

But they also say they are developing a management heavy PES game in tandem. But it would be good to have mroe injuries as I have only ever seemed to have 1 at a time. Fitness fluctuates much more. But also I noticed that unless you buy a promising player he just stays there. He should be bought by another team so you can wait for the next one. And thay shouldf have the smae names all the time either.

That is super weird! R u playing WE or PES though? I tell you what... the other day I played for about 6hrs (I know I know) and the game freaked. One of my players froze in mid anim. So instead of running he just glided everywhere. Very strange. Fortunately it only lasted for one game....or did it!

come on now rebus, there is nothing wrong with playing for 6 hours, we all do it. and rightly so. but that is pretty f**ked up, kinda like when scooby doo runs or walks. i did have one of my players just stop doing anything for about 10 in-game minutes, which is pretty weird.

One feature i've always wanted to have... (and i know this will never happen cos it's too much of a game in itself but PES is the only footy game i wanna play n if it wasn't in their style then i wouldn't want it)
I've always wanted a game where u control the career of one player (i.e ur own created player) u start off at a lower club and basically jus keep playing, goin through ur career joining big club goin to smaller ones if ur crap. i know there was another game like this where durin a game u would only control one player but u could maybe control either ur player or the whole team. U could be offered contracts from different clubs depending how good ur are or how good ur club is doin. I think it would be pretty good but only as an extra feature, it would help in situations where ur doin season after season n u start to get sick of bein the same team but don't wanna start again, jus change team but carry ur created self (u know ur the same as me n put urself into ur club team in master league! everyone does it). The only other solution i had to this which i enjoyed was to edit one of the brazil clubs to my own made up team, i gave us the crappy stadium for when we were in the lower league n changed the kit every season.

thats a pretty good idea, but a little bit too elaborate. i mean, in a game, could you only control that player or would you control the whole team? and would you fix up personal terms? anyway, good idea, love the picture.
