Anybody seen the game yesterday? The 2 best clubs in the world of the moment against each other.
Brilliant!
There was a topic about wich competition was the best and I think it was very clear yesterday.
The style of play of English teams just doesn't work in Europe as much as the Spanish&Italian.
What a game and what a final goal from the gums of fury!
Absolutely chuffed to bits about this result as I'm a big barca fan.

Saw the highlights, wonderful goal by Ronaldinho.
But i do not see these as the best 2 teams in the world at the moment, for me it is Juve and then Barca. Juventus have conceded 2 goals in all competitions so far this season, and i thought Chelsea's defence was solid!!? :D The Old Lady are also 6 pts clear at the top of Serie A, and have maximum points in the CL, so i think it is fair to say they are better than AC Milan.
I'm happy Barca got the 3 pts and are on the way through to the 2nd stage as i will be supporting them if or when Arsenal are eliminated.
As for the style of English teams doesn't work, i thought Chelsea were an English team!? They may not play in the same way as most English teams but they are still representing England and doing a rather fine job so far.
Then we have AS Roma, Real Madrid, Deportivo and Valencia who are struggling to get through their groups. So, with the way Chelsea have started and if Arsenal and ManUre click in Europe we have 3 teams who have the potential to go all the way in the CL this season.

The first half was excellent. It died down a bit in the second period though. To be quite frank, I thought Barcelona were all over AC Milan (I never expected the majority of the possession to be held in the Milan’s half). Milan did do well at times in the first half, but overall, they were second best on the night. Shevchenko's goal was well taken. Kaka should have scored too. There was a superb move involving the trio of Shevchenko, Serginho and Kaka', if that went in, it would have been a terrific goal. One player that really stood out for me was Xavi. I thought he played brilliantly.

Leverkusen 3-0 Real Madrid (Spain)
Inter Milan 5-1 Valencia (Spain)
Olympiakos 0-0 Deportivo (Spain)
Monaco 2-0 Deportivo (Spain)
Werder Bremen 2-0 Valencia (Spain)
Sorry, what was that you were saying about the Spanish?

Cheap to get those out-of-shape teams up the table!
Barça is the best at the moment, so I have to say Spain with them.
No English team is going to win the CL this year!

Watched that match, and as a neutral is was an amzing game to watch. Great possession play by Barcelona and good patient build-up with lots of 2-touch passing. And a superb goal by Ronaldinho, who for me is the best player in the world, that deserved to win it.
Only disapointment with the match was the lack of quality of the free-kicks. Wiht great set piece players such as Deco, Xavi and, of course, Ronaldinho, I was expecting to see more on target.
