hello, just got a couple of general questions, which if anyone knows the answers to, or has a view on, I would be grateful if they would reply!

here goes:

- Anyone know a place where I can get my PS2 chipped?
Because i dont want to buy the chip then have to do it manually - i kno id bodge it!

- How hard is it, to actually patch Winning Eleven 6: Final Evolution?
I dont wanna get my PS2 chipped an buy WE6: FE to find out it takes a programmer to patch it!

- If you have your PS2 chipped and have WE6: FE, what chip have u got in your ps2? also, if you have patched we6: fe, what patch have u got?

Thanks a lot!

First off I can get you a PS2 chipped quite cheaply. It would allow you to play imported games, copied dvd's etc.

I believe that WE6: FE is not a complicated patch though I do not know how I could come about owning the game in the first place maybe someone could please tell me how I could purchase the game and the price it would cost.

Sorry this reply didn't help much.

Thanks for the site :D although it will probably get closed now! Lol.

Anyway, I do not 'chip' PS2's. My mom's friend does it, so I will have to ask him about the more detailed aspects of the chip although I know it would cost between £15-20.

I will try to post the finer details when I can.

Sorry gooner to spoil any business for you  but the better alternative which wouldnt damage your ps2 is to get a flip top cover with some swap disks from http://www.console-direct.co.uk/ This is what I'm gona do when i get some money!

Obviously up to you tho..

Erm... excuse me what are you saying? That my mom's friend purposely sets out to ruin other peoples PS2's. I don't think so.

I wouldn't you posting your opinion, your entitled to it. But I don't like it when you post accusations which are 100% false.

hehe sorry mate, just saying how its a known fact that chips dont do your ps2 any good, not that the person you know will do a botched job...;)

I'm actually quite interested in this service you might be offering mate! How much would it all cost?

He doesn't 'botch' the jobs! My PS2 is working fine. Anyway I estimate anywhere between £15-20. Though P&P could be a potential problem. I will try my absolute best to get all the finer details about the job he does and how you can get games from him as well as DVD's (Like The Ring which I got for £2).

As I have stated I will try me best to get all the information I can.

As for the DVD's/Games:- As far as I know/concerned these work PERFECTLY. I have bought a few games and many DVD's off of him, and never had any problems.

Yes the flip top can play import, but the toc is limited but i wont get to much into detail cause this isnt the right place for it. I will state that the flip top wont last youre ps2 laser a long time.

Kaffermike

yes it will play we6 but it wont play games with a large toc size.

timedwins7

is toc, Table Of Contents?

which games have a big toc?

Kaffermike
20-04-2003, 02:19
Yes it is, but this is not the site to put on all the games with a large toc, but i can tell you that all dvd games have a large toc size so you need a original game like gta3 to do a double swap.

i think the best option will be smith-gamers chipping service. they seem like a pretty reputable company, there is another thread somewhere about it

Well, personally, im gonna go for the flip top cover + swap magic disks! Id rather not have to send my PS2 away to someone :(

Thanks for your input Ewlesy!!! I've got £40 as well :D just have to wait for the banks to open, so I can put it in!

Use the r1 chip it's the best, i know no one will read this, though on the new pro evo chipping is the best!!!
