And is the "Champion of the winter" as we call it in Hollland! (we have a winter-stop)
AZ won the last playing day 2-0 where Psv lost 2-0 and AZ is now(more goals ahead) the number one untill the end of februari.
Olé! :D
Isn't that a really big deal? I thought the only teams really in the title challenge in Holland were Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord
How many threads about Alkmaar do we need? I know we have 2 fans on the forum but could it not all go in the same thread?

I don't know, is that possible?
We are the best team in Holland you know... ;)

AZ are the only team in living memory - for me at least - who could possibly break the cycle of dominance the 3 teams have.
So of course it's nice to see on top.
Congrats to AZ! Hopefully they can keep on going all season. Although I would most likely see Heerenveen at the top. :)
But I wouldn't mind seeing the cycle of the the three champions ending.

We are playing Herenveen in the next round of the Uefa Cup, are they a good side? I've never seen them play before.

Well, we aren't a top team in Holland. I would say mid-class. I'm a supporter as I was born in Harlingen, which I believe is in Friesland, as is Heerenveen. Homer J. propably knows better. They show Eredivisie in Finland but in every game it's Feyenoord, PSV or Ajax that's playing.
