Can't quite believe that we have had so many different designs since beginning back at the start of 2003... but version 5 is here. And by popular demand, the style follows a light blue theme. The main website will updated to match the new forum style soon. You can still opt to switch back to the old dark scheme, but all new features will be added to the new version 5 style only. To chose the old style, scroll to the bottom and select it in the drop down menu on the left.
Iam reverted back to the old dark style, i prefer it. But the new theme does look nice :)
Reminds me of Manchester City.
Dark skin for me.
And my avatar and sig look shit on this skin. Everyone back on the PESInsight New Skin for the sake of my signature please.
Top menu looks much better on blue skin though, I'll give you that!

The new style look good, it's very clear and these are the colours of AA GENT so i have nothing to complain.
white with blue stripes, come on you R's
I had just gotten used to the dark skin, but I can't complain I do prefer the light ones, now just let me fetch my sunglasses

Can't beat a bit of blue... Bit more like lifedot now? Liked the black but was ready for a change. It makes mutu look good, the glow is kinda less effective though... I'm sure it'll grow on me.

Ah, I have to say I prefer the black skin, but the Version 5 skin is very nice aswell, but for now I'm sticking to the current one. :)

I know mine looks better doesnt it though :D and it should be good for you too liam dont complain - simple enough to change it

much better, i liked the black one best before, but this is classy.

well the space shouldnt be like that.... it just just be like a continuous line. obviously whatever browser you use is fucked up because the ad at the top, well it should have some space around it. use internet explorer the newest one

lookin good hitman, now you just gotta change those peoples names that are white, or at least give them back outline glow or something :D
header looks good in Internet Explorer but its broken in Firefox, fyi
My yellow looks awful. Otherwise the new look is nice, really cool. :p

too bright man, don't get me wrong it's nice, but dark was better.
maybe keep the background dark and just have the new look message backgrounds light? whatever tho i'm no web page designer

cool, this new skin is much wider in posting space. the background color is cool to the eye, unlike the black skin. awesome stuff hitman and whoever worked on it, thanks :)

you see this is the problem i have. half of you lot absolutley can't stand light, but half of you can't stand dark. so to be honest it's only fair for it now to be light as the primary skin for a year since its been dark for a year. i will leave the dark skin up, but like i said all the new features will be added to this.

Just a quick query (sp?)...
When I post a message, it's supposed to take me back to the thread but it takes me to the good old "page not found" thing so I have to reload. Anyone else get this?
oh yeah and possibly, if it's not too late, could new posts be put at the top? I used this a lot. Doesn't matter if not though...
EDIT: It also happens in PESInsight new, so maybe it's my browser? It never did this before though?

the reason the errors come up is to with the server not the skin. i know our host said they'd be rebooting mysql at some point maybe its to do with that.
to answer the new post query........ the link is still available.... just look underneath where it says "welcome whoever"..... it says "There are 114 new posts since your last visit! ".... just click on new posts.

where? its at the top of the page in "pesinsight new" and I haven't seen it on the blue one...
EDIT: Yeah Hitman you're right, but when I get the error page and hit reload, it gives me the one saying "you cannot post the same thing twice" or something and it's not there where I like to click it. Doesn't matter though. When the error gets sorted it'll be fine.

Kev don't you have to switch how you view posts in your options area?
Prehaps having a dedicated 'new posts' button along the top navigation would have been helpful. The current text link is a tad small for my liking, though thats only my opinion. Oh n like the fresh new look by the way.

V5 skin looks great. The layout is better too. I thought I had gone on a different website at first. Definitely keeping this skin, is very nice.
It's grown on me too.
And my avatar and signature have shown their charmeleon-like ability to adapt to their new environment*

in webdesign, the area at the top of the page, visible in a browser window before you scroll is call 'before the fold' area (typically speaking at a 1024x768 resolution), and yeah, thats the most wanted spot by ads, above the fold spots, but we have two huge ads and now a google search thing that we dont need since most browsers have the plugin for it anyway
you need to scroll down a whole screen before you see anything worthwhile...
Just returned from a marathon party session to find a new design on the site. Looks very smart.

I think it's safe to say that considering I did this design I know what above the fold is, it's ok :) hehe
anywho, that google bar hasn't added any height to the header, as previously there was a bar there anyway saying what was in the site. without the two "huge" (I would like to point out these are pretty much the most common ad size now, 'leaderboard' ads) this site wouldn't be here. the google bar is only temporary to see how it performs anyway.

It's nice. But I'm sticking with the dark skin, it's just so much easier to read IMO
