'I once saw a japanese movie'

nah j/k :) I noticed everyone trying to find an excuse to get into the discussion :)

I went to Japan in 2001. I really loved it over there. A shame I was there for only 4 days orso though. It's my favourite place I've ever been to (but I havent really been to many places, so it doesnt say much...

The first day we arrived we immediately went to the hotel Ibelieve, stopping on the way for dinner. Next day we went to Tokyo Disney which was pretty cool as there wasnt too many people, but it's also smaller then Euro Disney, which was a shame. I noticed they had quite a number of white people in the park working as entertainers. Must be a popular vacation job or something...
Next day we went to an amusement park outside of tokyo, on the way to a forrest near Muont Fuji. that amusement park has a big-ass rollercoaster. Supposedly the longest or fastest one in asia. AFter that we went to a hotel in the mountains and at night I saw fireflies, which was brilliant. A shame I didnt catch them on camera (I tried but they didnt show up when the pictures were developed)
Back in Tokyo I also went to those very famous shopping streets, and went manga-shopping etc etc. Also got to see Virtua Fighetr 4 in the arcades, which just came out that summer. There was a big-ass arcade which was 6-7 storeys high. That was in one of those busy shopping streets, near an intersection. I believe it was Sega's.

I loved the feeling of safety over there. It just feels so very safe, even when ur out at night going to a 7-11 or something.

Didnt really see many girls, apart from one girl on a bike who had on a miniskirt and the wind caught it and I saw her panties. That was the day we arrived in Japan so that was a good start :)

I really envy you both... I'd LOVE to visit Japan, it's like the first place in the world I don't know and I want to visit. Then Italy, Spain and Egypt, perhaps in that order. You're right about the girls, even though I haven't been there, I've seen many Japanese girls and they look so hot! If I ever go there, I'd like to visit South Korea and China as well, but Japan simply rocks (must)!!!

Okinawa is an island of Japan.

Okinawan martial arts kick so much ass because the Japanese wouldn't let them have weapons.

I spent a month in Tokyo, June 2000. Shit man I want to go back. Not a day goes by with me not thinking of it.
Best place I have been to and it is not the most expensive place in the world!!! I found that it was no more expensive than London and when I went the exchange rate was poo. If you go now the exchange is much better.
Best food, best transport (underground), best people, best choice in shops ever you want it it is there somewhere. And of course the women!!!! SHIIIIIIIIT they are fine. Well one of my friends summed it up. 70% are plain, 10% are damn ugly, 20% are the hottest babes you will ever see!! And they love us English boys!! A simple hello and they start to giggle, a wink and they go crazy. It truley is that easy!!!!
Also the safety thing is cool, never felt threatened once, homeless people are polite!!! I saw a salaryman asleep on the path in Shijuku with his briefcase stood next to him. No-one would take it. If you fell asleep like that in England your watch and your wallet would be gone after 10 minutes!!
Going back this year to look for work.
If anyone is thinking about it then do it.
Cheap ass Hotels: Kimi Ryokan, Ikebukuro £20 a night, Travellers Hotel Minowa £12 a night. There are a couple of youth hostels the old olympic building is best out of the two. The other one in Idabashi (sp) is shit 11pm curfew, you sit looking out of your window at all the night life going on. Both about £10/15 a night. At these prices can you afford not to go????
Take a suit case empty fill it with PSPs and ebay them when you get back, holiday payed for. A friend of mine goes once a year and stocks up on Digi cameras, MP3 players, gadgets etc. It pays for all his holiday. So it can be done for a little money, you just need an empty credit card.
In short TAKE ME BACK THERE AND LEAVE ME THERE!!!!

Dont those PSP's have NTSC or PAL?
Or are they regionfree?
Have you ever seen Jap football matches?
No violence at all,no racismchants and stuff like that and no riots at all
thats how football should be like around here too

benghis
16-01-2005, 16:02
Yeah but the Japanese don't have off the cuff chants. All the chants at Japanese sports are induced!! They have stewards that start all the nice and safe chants. So you don't get the comedy chants or the sweary ones that we all enjoy.
You are right about the lack of violence and the obvious racism. But if you look under the surface it is the most racist country around, all be it on another level.
