Hello!

Just gonna see if people like this game or no. I will quote a line from a film as my sig and you have to guess the film (at least) and the person who said it. Then you post ur answer here and if ur right you have the satisfaction of a job well done (!) and I change my sig and off we go again.

If u guys think it's fun it'll continue!

Zygalski
19-08-2003, 13:40
Good idea. Why does it have to be the sig though? Can't we just post a quite? Have a couple of vague ideas but not sure on yours. "I'll be back!"
(mine doesn't count)

Paul B
19-08-2003, 14:09
Boris says "I am invincible!" in Goldeneye.

rebusrahman
19-08-2003, 14:50
Well done Paul! Ok new quote.

PicturePerfect
19-08-2003, 16:46
Is that from an Indiana Jones film, rebus? Sorry, that's pretty vague.

I've never really been an Indie fan...

rebusrahman
19-08-2003, 16:55
You have to be more precise pls!

PicturePerfect
19-08-2003, 17:14
Well, off the top of my head, here are the few that I know off:

Last Crusade
Raiders of The Lost Ark (I'm leaning towards this)

Anywho, pick one for me. ;)

Zygalski
19-08-2003, 17:41
Reb, doesn't anyone else get to have a go?

rebusrahman
19-08-2003, 22:02
Oh, ruin my fun Zyg!!! ANyway, pic ur more or less right. It's Last Crusade. Right, I'm gonna do one more and first person to guess it can carry on and so forth. Ok people?

Zygalski
19-08-2003, 22:13
OK, I think I know that one. Near the start of Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade. When the guy gives Indy his hat.
(Is that close?)

Anyway, It's more confusing now, since you used Indiana Jones. Your earlier posts signature has changed too so people won't know how easy the past ones were. Or when there is a new one.
Is it OK if people just post their quotes instead of changing their sig?
(sorry to screw things up mate - it's hard to keep track)

Zygalski
19-08-2003, 22:16
Jaws?

PicturePerfect
20-08-2003, 08:23
I think you've got it Zyg. The original, right?

Your turn...

Zygalski
20-08-2003, 08:50
I think it was Jaws 1, yes.

Maybe Reb should confirm this before we decide it's correct and move on?!

PicturePerfect
20-08-2003, 14:51
Sure.:)

rebusrahman
20-08-2003, 21:38
Thanks fellas. Yes, Jaws 1. Your turn mr zyg. I will now change my sig...

Zygalski
21-08-2003, 15:09
OK. Sorry I'm a bit slow.

My quote is:
"I'm the Dude. So thats what you call me. That, or Duder, His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing. ..."

Simple!! :)

PicturePerfect
21-08-2003, 15:46
Nice. I love that quote. I watched this a fortnight ago actually, The Big Lebowski.:)

rebusrahman
21-08-2003, 15:48
Easy peasy! It's the Dude from the Big Lebowski!

rebusrahman
21-08-2003, 15:49
Damn! I was tied up doing stuff and couldn't post earlier! Beaten to it!

Zygalski
21-08-2003, 16:01
Yep. Too easy. If I get another go, it'll be harder.
Go PicturePerfect. Your turn.

rebusrahman
21-08-2003, 16:04
Hey! Can you leave work pls?

PicturePerfect
21-08-2003, 16:57
Ok, here goes (recent film: 2002).

"It can't be by hand, it's too perfect."

Just to make it easier, here's a hint:

Some say the last 5 minutes of the film ruined it. ;)

rebusrahman
22-08-2003, 11:52
Signs?

Prototype
22-08-2003, 15:03
I like this game.

Signs- Father graham says it, i think =/.

rebusrahman
22-08-2003, 15:11
Hold on there boy! I was there first!

Prototype
22-08-2003, 15:37
lol. I know...
*waits for rebush's quote*

Zygalski
22-08-2003, 15:55
Reb, please let us know if you are going to post your quote or change your sig.

PicturePerfect
22-08-2003, 17:10
Yeah, Signs. That was a gift.

Your turn rebus (again).

rebusrahman
22-08-2003, 20:53
I can't help it if I know my stuff! I am an actor after all? Anyway, I am posting my quote (as it seems most sensible).

"By gum, it's gum!"

Zygalski
22-08-2003, 20:56
I heard that one somewhere.....

rebusrahman
22-08-2003, 21:06
Yeah! So have I. Isn't it...

Zygalski
22-08-2003, 22:05
(hey Reb, I just got the text you sent me yesterday afternoon!)

rebusrahman
25-08-2003, 15:45
Which text was that? Has anyone got any ideas on my quote yet?

Zygalski
25-08-2003, 15:52
The text on Thursday afternoon about the matches.

Is your quote from Willy Wonka?

rebusrahman
26-08-2003, 12:16
About the matches? Text? Eh? Pls PM me about it and are you free on Wed? Yes, it is Willy Wonka. Did u know that or did you use the net?

Zygalski
26-08-2003, 12:30
The text was the one you sent me last week. If you don't remember, don't worry. THis Wednesday sounds good. Earlier start!

I had a vague recall about a fat boy saying that gum line and checked it to be sure so I wouldn't sound like a silly who watches that movie a lot!

rebusrahman
26-08-2003, 12:58
That'd be Augustus Gloop! It was actually Veronica Salt (?) who said it tho, I think! Is 5pm ok? I think that's the earliest I can make it.

Zygalski
26-08-2003, 13:15
5pm, Sure thing.

So is it my go now?

rebusrahman
26-08-2003, 15:04
Certainly is!

Zygalski
26-08-2003, 15:40
OK. Let me think for a bit so I can get a more difficult one than my earlier effort.

jag87
26-08-2003, 19:12
Rebus, its varooka salt! :)

rebusrahman
27-08-2003, 09:58
Veruca Salt?

Zygalski
08-09-2003, 19:13
Sorry I completely forgot about this!
OK here's my quote:

"I got it. I got it. I got it!"
(The stand tips over, smashing the glass water bottle on the hard floor.)
"I don't got it."

Others: "You klutz."

:)

rebusrahman
18-09-2003, 09:59
Is it "High Anxiety"?

Zygalski
18-09-2003, 10:58
Nope. Never heard of that one.
(Any good?)

This is from one for the kids.
:)

rebusrahman
18-09-2003, 12:07
Mel Brooks film. Good! Is it Jumanji?

Zygalski
18-09-2003, 12:13
Nope.
But you're on the right line there......
Similar but older movie.

rebusrahman
18-09-2003, 12:23
The Goonies?

Zygalski
18-09-2003, 12:35
YES!
Nice one.
Your go.

rebusrahman
18-09-2003, 14:31
I thank you!!!
Ok. Let me think...

"This ship is equipped with a forward-mounted, twenty-millimeter electric cannon. Its six barrels are capable of firing four thousand rounds of ammunition per minute. And that, gentlemen, is one hell of a shit-storm in anybody's language!"

Zygalski
18-09-2003, 14:42
Aliens?

PicturePerfect
18-09-2003, 18:24
Oh, I know this! Just about. Is it a Rob Schneider (sp?) film?

Blue Lightning or something similar.

rebusrahman
19-09-2003, 07:23
Aint Aliens Zyg. Pic, ur so close it hurts...

Blue Lightning sounds like a cross between a porn film and a dodgy teenage drink!

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 07:57
Blue Streak?

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 08:30
Aint Aliens Zyg. Pic, ur so close it hurts...

Blue Lightning sounds like a cross between a porn film and a dodgy teenage drink!

Yeah, I had my doubts about it when writing.

It's an older film Zyg, sometime in the 80s. It's on 'Cinema City' every few months here.

It has something to do with weather. Blue Rain/Hurricane/Thunder.

I had three gos there. :o

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 10:26
Blue Cyclone, Blue Volcano, Blue Tidal Wave, Blue Typhoon, Blue Earthquake???

:p

rebusrahman
19-09-2003, 11:21
Choose one only you two... one of your choices is right!

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 11:24
Blue Thunder?

rebusrahman
19-09-2003, 11:31
! Yes you're right, zyg. But I would like to give it to pic, if that's ok? Just that this thread is in danger of becoming the reb & zyg show?

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 11:33
Of course mate. No worries. I don't even have a quote ready. Don't know why I was rushing to answer!

Guess I was just trying to use my powers of logic or something....

Go on PP. Your go.

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 11:56
Hey! I did start the Blue trend that got Zyg going! ;)

Anyway, thanks for being a sport, Zyg.

My mind is fuzzy at the moment so I'll pick an easy one:

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

:D

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 12:00
Well, I don't watch much porn so I won't be getting this one! :D

Reb?? :p

:D :D

rebusrahman
19-09-2003, 12:17
Is it gay bumlickers on toast III?

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 12:33
Nope, none of those.

Hint: It's not porno. However, it is an 'adult' film which is strange because it stars 'teens'. ;)

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 12:39
It's not an easy one. It could be almost anything! We may need a small clue.

I'll guess Jurassic Park.
EDIT- I saw your clue so I'll think again.

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 12:42
Jurrasic Park has teens?!

I thought it was quite easy, actually. I must have under-estimated it's difficulty.

Hint #2: It's the line that made Tara Reid famous.

I think someone should get it now.

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 12:53
I wrote my first guess before I saw your clue.

How about American Pie?

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 12:59
Oh so close. You need to be a bit more specific.

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 13:01
I was. That's the name of the first one.

How about American Pie 2?

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 13:11
I thought you were using American Pie as a vague description for the whole trilogy.

Correct. It's American Pie 2.

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 13:18
"You've been pushing too many pencils, Dillon. Had enough?"

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 13:24
Pencil Man?

How's about a clue..........

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 13:43
Here's a vague clue. I just mentioned the guy who says this in the PES3 Questions thread.

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 13:46
Terminator 2?

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 13:51
You've got the right guy but it's not that movie.

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 14:02
Predator?

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 14:04
Yep.

rebusrahman
19-09-2003, 14:48
Excuse me! Are you guys having your own game now???

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 15:04
Well it seems to be just the 3 of us taking turns.

rebusrahman
19-09-2003, 15:28
So how do we get more people involved then? Do we just post the link for this thread in other threads?

jag87
19-09-2003, 15:31
i would like to participate but i dont know whats going on! Please explain!

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 15:33
Someone posts a quote from a movie and we have to guess which movie it is.

Reb, people know this is here - most aren't interested.

jag87
19-09-2003, 15:34
ok fellas, here goes:

"Hiya Pal.."

A 90's smash hit!

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 16:28
PicturePerfect guessed mine right so it's supposed to be his turn.

(Jag, I think that's Steve Buscemi but I'm not sure which movie)

jag87
19-09-2003, 16:53
its not zygalski, its a kiddy movie! Joe Pesci was the speaker of the clue!

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 16:54
OK. It's Home Alone.

.... but it's still supposed to be PP's turn!
:)

jag87
19-09-2003, 16:56
Right you are zygalski. C'mon, bring on the next clue!

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 17:45
"Okay, first things fuckin' last!"

Popular film. One of my favourites.

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 20:20
Very small clue needed.

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 22:41
Men. In suits. With attitude. And guns.

:)

^Recipe for cool.

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 22:50
Men In Black?

(If it is, that's too much of a hint. If it isn't, I'm just thick).

PicturePerfect
19-09-2003, 23:06
Close but no cigar. These guys are much more gritty and way more kick-ass than Will Smith.

Hint #2: Most characters are named after colours.

That should give it away.

Zygalski
19-09-2003, 23:27
Reservoir Dogs.

PicturePerfect
20-09-2003, 00:02
Yep-didly.

Zygalski
20-09-2003, 09:07
You just listen to the ol' Pork Chop Express an' take his advice on a dark and stormy night when some wild-eyed eight-foot tall maniac grabs your neck an' taps the back of your favorite head up against a barroom wall. An' he looks you crooked in the eye an' he asks if you've paid your dues. You look right back at that big sucker an' remember what Jack Burton always says at times like that.
"Have you paid your dues, Jack?"
"No, sir, I've just charged 'em."

PicturePerfect
20-09-2003, 13:52
I have no clue. Rather then giving me a clue, I suggest we wait for rebus or jag, to make it more fair and involving.

Spike
20-09-2003, 13:54
Zyg, Big Trouble in Little China.

Zygalski
20-09-2003, 13:55
Yup. (Which bit gave it away?)

Go Spike.

Spike
20-09-2003, 13:58
Yup. (Which bit gave it away?)

Go Spike.

None really, I just know the film.

"Ah yes, the Dr. Gillespie killings. Well, do your best".

PicturePerfect
20-09-2003, 14:08
I remember a Dr. Gillespie line from Blazing Saddles.

Spike
20-09-2003, 14:11
Yep. Classic film, nice one.

PicturePerfect
20-09-2003, 14:15
I love this line...

"Good morning! And in case I don't see you: good afternoon, good evening and good night!"

Paul B
20-09-2003, 14:23
Isn't that from Bruce Almighty?

Spike
20-09-2003, 14:24
I love this line...

"Good morning! And in case I don't see you: good afternoon, good evening and good night!"

I thought it was Truman Show.

Paul B
20-09-2003, 14:25
Probably was, I knew it was from some Jim Carey film!

PicturePerfect
20-09-2003, 14:45
It's very Carrey-esque. You got it Spike.

Spike
20-09-2003, 14:47
Cool.

"We will begin with the perfect omelette, which is made with 2 eggs, not 3. Amateurs add milk for density, this is a mistake!"

Zygalski
20-09-2003, 15:20
I knew the last one and I know this one too.....
argh!

Zygalski
20-09-2003, 15:23
LL Cool J from 'Deep Blue Sea'! :)

Zygalski
20-09-2003, 16:28
"Did you speak the exact words?!"

"Well, maybe not every single syllable, no. But basically I said them. Yes."

Spike
20-09-2003, 16:51
Army of Darkness.

PicturePerfect
22-09-2003, 23:07
The Crow roxorz.

Not sure on this quote though.......

Spike
23-09-2003, 00:15
The Crow it is, well done rebusrahman. One of my all-time favourite films (and comic).

rebusrahman
23-09-2003, 15:40
Ta. Ok... will have a quote in a while. Just got to post to the rest of the 3 billion threads first!

Zygalski
24-09-2003, 21:53
Come on mate. You should have a gajillion movie quotes in your head.

rebusrahman
24-09-2003, 22:21

Here you go...

rebusrahman

PicturePerfect
01-10-2003, 18:48
The Wedding Singer?

rebusrahman
01-10-2003, 20:45

Spike
02-10-2003, 00:19
I don't know any Weird Al Yankovic films.

PicturePerfect
02-10-2003, 21:01
I was thinking of Al Yankovic too. The only movie-related thing he did that I can remember was the theme to Spy Hard. He was on a couple of Simpsons episodes too.

On a side note, has anyone listened to Poodle Hat? The Complicated Song (Avirl Lavigne - Complicated) is superb. Check it out.

rebusrahman
02-10-2003, 22:54
It is Weird Al Yankovic! But what's the name of the film???

PicturePerfect
02-10-2003, 23:18
Err...didn't he do voices in Eek The Cat?

Sorry, that's as far as my AY knowledge goes.

rebusrahman
08-10-2003, 14:03
Ok ok! It's obviously a little too obscure. Sorry. The film is UHF. If you ever see it to rent get it immediately as IMO it's hilarious (if you like that kind of thing or f**King annoying if you don't!). Shall I go again or does someone else wanna go?

PicturePerfect
10-10-2003, 00:51
I've looked it up and I'll try ti get in this week. Probably to no avail, but anyway.

Just to kickstart this thread again....

Person A: Chill out, dickwad.
Person B: Great! See, you're getting it!
Person A: No problemo.

rebusrahman
22-10-2003, 14:20

I thought you would get that Jag. It's the Matrix Reloaded. The Merovingian (sp?) says it when talking about cursing in French. Definitely a memorable quote.

PicturePerfect
28-10-2003, 14:57

Not sure on the quote. Little vague, maybe? I've heard it a lot but don't know where it stems from.
