Does anywone nows how to score a free kick with roberto carlos?
It never works with me.

practice is basically what you need. go into training mode and just find the best techniques. your best bet is to aim slightly to the left or right of the goa and hold the power bar half way, and making sure you have the d-pad/alanog pressed diagnoly upwards towards the goal, you should go somewhere near.

yeah well, i've been playing PES2 since the release date and after a few months, the free kicks with roberto carlos are really going well, but everytime the goal keeper gets a finger to it (or he is helped by the crossbar)...in het first PES i managed to score 1 f.k. with roberto carlos from 45 metres...

but in this game, it's really hard to score from far....

My best goal was with this guy, ive only done it once and felt like i was unstoppable, once you do it you will have a great feeling.

I always set a poor free kick taker as default. When awarded a free kick I just change to Carlos. Most of the time the wall and keeper are ready for a nobody and Carlos scores. This also works with other specialist free kick takers. Good Luck

lmao @ big ron in your signature + i think carlos is unstoppable from about 20-25 yards out. anything around the box i just hold forward and go to about halfway. the power takes it through the wall and it's almost unstoppable for the keeper

IF U HAVE BEEN FOULED ON THE EDGE OF THE BOX,I MEAN REALLY REALLY CLOSE TO THE PENATY BOX.YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE D AND PRACTICALLY ON THE EDGE OF THE LINET DECENT POWER BUT NOT TOO MUCH EG[AIMAR,MENDIETA,ETC]FREE KICK ACCURACY DOSEN`T REALLY MATTER.

2 YOU MUST BE IN THE D# ON OR JUST OFF THE PENALTY BOX DIRECTLY OPPOSITE THE GOALS OR JUST SLIGHTLY AT A ANGLE

THE BEST WAY I THINK IS TO HIT THE DIRECTION + R1 + [] AND JUST OVER HALF WAY ON THE BAR BUT ONLY IF ITS ABOUT 32M OUT. BUT KEEP THE DIRECTION AND R1 HELD ON.

I ALWAYS DO IT LIKE THAT AND ABOUT 80% OF THE TIME IT GOES IN LEAVING THE KEEPER WITH NO CHANCE.

I find curling with the inside of the boot works better with Carlos than trying to curl with the outside.

So if you have a free kick from about 35M on the left this is what you should do.

Position the ball so it is level with the last player to the left in the wall. Maybe a little further to the left, depending on whether you think Carlos can curl it in or not. Then simply fill the power bar to excactly half way (abit more if you are further back) and hold right to curl that way. I have scored countless Carlos goals this way and they look superb. You can also do it from the right too, but you aim inbetween the heads of the two men on the end at the left.

Of course you can try with the outside of the foot, but i find these slightly trickier.
