What do you guys think if KAKA being named the 2004 Footballer of The Year?
Well, personally I think its awesome. But you could make a case for others like.. the whole Chelsea team.... when was the last time they let in a goal? or lost a game? But for me... KAKA is more than deserving.

yeh it would of been good if kaka got the prize, i could say the same for cristiano........ but but when you compare him to the eventual winner ronaldinho i think ronaldinho is lightyears ahead of kaka, he almost single handedly revived barca's season last year

Errrr...the year doesn't start in August.

Arsenal had a far better 2004 than Chelsea did...Chelsea achieved nothing, Arsenal beat a record and won a title.

In the age of fair play and living in a society now where everyone is a winner, who knows how many awards are handed out? Very few awards mean anything anymore.

And how could a club, like Chelsea, win the Footballer of the Year award?

Cristiano Ronaldo's been absolutely fantastic the whole year, especially at Euro 2004, which was a tornament Kaka didn't participate in. If I don't remember wrongly Kaka didn't play for Brazil at Copa America either.
