haha true that.

Man, Chicago aint half gave its fair share to the game

HH
08-02-2009, 13:17
Well, NY is overrated imo. Chicago has talent, Kanye, Common, Lupe, Twista.

Dale C.

Never liked twista me, although he can rap fast, like really fast, I've never really liked his songs.

Common is definately in my top ten favourite rappers though

Kanye has released a video for his song "Welcome To Heartbreak". This isn't his next single, "Amazing" will be his next released single, not sure why then he decided to do this video, I guess he just wanted to.

Thought I'd spring some life into this place by posing the question, what is Jay-Z's best album do you think then people ?

Mjällharth
21-02-2009, 11:31
He hasn't ever released anything even half as good as Reasonable Doubt. (After '96, of course.)

AgentZero
21-02-2009, 11:57
big fan of the black album and yeah reasonable doubt is hard to surpass.

Hunter
21-02-2009, 12:07
If I'm being honest, I do think that Reasonable Doubt is definitely overated as a classic. He has a couple of other albums that contest it in my opinion:

http://kevinnottingham.com/myblog/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/jayz_black_album.jpg
http://thecheddarbox.files.wordpress. com/2007/11/jayz_american_gangster_cover.j pg

Both quality albums, I've been listening to American Gangster a lot recently as well and I would most certainly rate it up there as possibly his best. The album has a specific theme which he sticks to throughout, and the album has a story including the rise, success, emotions etc of the hustler in the songs.

In my list, In My Lifetime Vol. 1 would come 2nd, courtesy of Streets Is Watching and Co.

well lets see the contributors
NY: Biggie, Jay-Z, nAs, 50, Wu-Tang (GZA RZA mainly), Blackstar (Mos and Talib Kweli)
Chi-Town: Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Twista, Cool Kids.
I know there maybe a lot more but these are the ones evident in my itunes library.
So i think NYC has given us more legends of hip hop.

22-02-2009, 08:51
In all honesty, one half of the album is great (Never Change, Heart Of The City, Takeover) and the other one is shallow garbage (Hola Hovito, H to the OMO and Jigga that Nigga to name a few)

*Cough* Not to mention the Juice Crew, Boogie Down Productions, D.I.T.C., The Native Tongues Posse and so on...
But 50 really shouldn't be on this list, no matter what.

Dale C.
22-02-2009, 16:46
Yeah I dont think he was calling him a legend of hip-hop, just a great contributor, which lets face it, hes brought out his fair share of records...

Anyone tell me how much 'In da Club' sold? Thats a good enough reason already :D

Mjällharth
22-02-2009, 17:06
Well, on that ground MC Hammer could be noted as one of Cali's finest.

Dale C.
22-02-2009, 17:16

Just because something is a hit doesn't necessarily mean it's good. I'm not denying some of 50's work mind, he's got some good music under his belt, but recently he's took such a dive it's difficult to even take his name seriously anymore.

Dale C.

Soulja Boii went plat. I rest my case.

Hunter
22-02-2009, 20:26
Soulja Boy's Crank That was a phenomenom though, probably the biggest Rap song to have been released in the last 5 years - love it or hate it. At first I despised it purely because I didn't believe it was actually a very good song. After a while though, I just took it for what it was, a party song, and I began enjoying it. It was truly a good laugh while it was out, and that was proven by the sheer popularity of it - it swept the USA, and the UK from what we witnessed, and probably other areas in the world too.

Mjällharth
22-02-2009, 20:47
I really didn't manage to like the song, at some point whenever I heard it I was practically prepare to "keep the pimp hand strong" no matter from who's phone or IPod or whatever it was coming from. :D

A phenomenon it is indeed though, agreed on that.

HH
22-02-2009, 20:56
Had mixed feelings on the song. At first obviously I hated it, thought it was awful and possibly the peak of the ringtone brand of rap. But I just accepted it and thought of it as a one-off that may never happen again. I know im wrong on that, there will be another talentless person who does a craze.

Yeah Soulja boy got annoying quick but when it first came out it was huge all over NY mainly for the dance that it had it was just like the whole snap dance epidemic that Three 6 Mafia pushed I remember seeing whole lines of people breaking into a snap dance when songs were dropped same thing with Superman but thats over and done with now

The pimp hand is always kept strong no matter what music comes out of someone's phone though to be honest, especially on a bus etc. ;)

Might seem odd, but I've never managed to really like Fiasco, can't stand his voice. A bit overrated perhaps aswell IMO.

HH
24-02-2009, 07:43
Ooo, if anything Lupe doesn't get enough coverage. He got nominated for a Grammy for FnL, but other than that over here, I don't know that many people who listen to him apart from the song 'Superstar'. But I guess its your opinion.

I agree with AgentZero, The Cool is very dark but I too prefer FnL, nearly all tracks are good.

You're right, it does seem odd. ;)

Lupe Fiasco is, at least in my opinion easily one of the most talented rappers the music industry has seen in the last decade. His flow is excellent, his wordplay remarkable, and just his overall lyricism, whether it be uplifting creativity or saddening realities.

As for which album I prefer, definitely has to be Food & Liquor, I still bump it a hell of a lot. The Cool is just a bit too dark for me, even though it might reflect his trains of thought at the time of making it, his first album is just a more enjoyable listen. I'd go as far as saying it just misses out on classic status.

"He just sits, and watches the people in the boxes
Everything he sees he absorbs and adopts it,
He mimics and he mocks it
Really hates the box but he can't remember how to stop, it
Uh, so he continues to watch it
Hoping that it'll give him something that he can box with
Or how the locksmith, see the boxes, locked in the box
Ain't got the combination to unlock, it
That's why he watch-es, scared to look away,
'Cause at that moment, it might show him
What to take off the locks with
So he chained himself to the box, took a lock and then he locked it,
Swallowed the combination and then forgot, it
As the doctors jot it all down, with they pens and pencils,
The same ones that took away his voice
And just left this instrumental, like that."

My favorite Lupe Song "Tilted In Any Color You Like"

Hunter
24-02-2009, 19:44
Not sure I've heard that unless it's the song "Tilted" which I have on one of his mixtapes. Doubt I've heard it in absolutely ages so can't say much about it, will give it a listen at half-time. I'm just lying in bed at the moment with United on to my right, and my laptop on the other side. Perfect entertainment.

get it if you haven't, the beat gets stuck in your head. well mine anyway

and how awesome is Kanye's Welcome to Heartbreak song.

Dale C.
02-03-2009, 14:15
Yeah welcome to heartbreak is a tune, sounds even better on a piano rather than a keyboard :/ but still a tune anyway

Yeah I heard this track about a week ago...I'd say the game smashes it, but I can't ignore Weezy man

Everything he raps on turns to gold man, he's got so much style its untrue

HH
02-03-2009, 14:18
Maybe so, but I know that alot of people who don't necessarily listen to Rap hate Lil Wayne because of his look, his attitude, his voice and the fact that sometimes he chats shit.

I still think the best song he ever made was "Tha Mobb"

Dale C.
02-03-2009, 14:23
Yeah thats true I know a lot of 'indie' and 'rock' people that can't stand him, but I do know that in these cases its pure ignorance, because they haven't ever given hip-hop/rap a chance...All they want is indie etc

Yeah Tha Mobb is a BIG tune

"Cash Money Young Money motherfuck the other side,
They can fuck with us if they want I bring 'em homicide"

Big tune, I love the way he comes into his songs though, like the first few lines are always massive, thats what I love about him/his style

Or they can just ask me.

There's so many talented guys in Britain doing their thing at the moment. A lot of them are making their way in the grime scene, which is a lot easier to penetrate early on. It's easy enough to make contacts, make a tune with your "crew" and get it played in clubs.

In a lot of cases, the talented emcees will then end up going solo and you'll notice their album will be a lot more hip-hop orientated, where there isn't the need to be "hype" and showcase all your energy and crazy skills on 16 bars, but rather spread your abilities across 16 tracks.

As far as raw talent with a good delivery, Devlin is seriously talented. Funnily, he's someone who I can't see ever making the transition to hip-hop. Check out his EP, "The Art of Rolling," for a showcase of his skills.

I know it's almost the easy answer, but Sway is seriously doing it at the moment. He is the only artist in the UK who has a swagger to match his American counterparts - but he can back it up with clever wordplay to boot. Despite some relatively poor production, his newest album is superb.

Yeah the production on Sways new one was shocking, but your right about his swagger. He can make serious songs, Joke songs, any type of song, and with his wordplay he can make a record sound good.

Yeah Devlin is a great little character, and I for one am glad hes in the game. Brings summat fresh everytime I listen to him, which isn't often, so maybe thats understandable.

I was saying to my brother earlier, whilst listening to 1Xtra (anyone listen? DAB?), In my opinion grime beats bring summat new to the table. For me, Hip hop has grown stale, the beats are the same, its almost as if what every rapper does is predictable.

But with grime its different, I enjoy listening to grime more than modern hip hop nowadays.

Artists like Ghetto, Kano, even more experienced folks like Wiley, and even the younger newer crowd like Chipmunk, are really making moves in the business man.

I'm just disappointed in Skepta, apart from his Greatest hits, I ent heard much from him as late.

In my opinion grime beats bring summat new to the table. For me, Hip hop has grown stale, the beats are the same, its almost as if what every rapper does is predictable.

But with grime its different, I enjoy listening to grime more than modern hip hop nowadays.

Grime does bring something new to the table, but I don't think hip-hop has gone "stale." It's going through a phase where it, too, is changing.

Hip-hop music is generally considered to sit around the 80-100 BPM range. It has to, because the lyricists have to be able to keep pace with it. Given that changing the speed of the music isn't really an option, there's only so much that can be done with the musical side of things.

The subject matter of the lyrics is where the greatest trends are set - early hip-hop talked of African roots and was quite simplistic. Rhyme-schemes weren't required to be complex - the fact that you were rhyming rhythmically was enough.

The genre then progressed and grew and people began to combine hip-hop essence with more mainstream music. Lots of rappers collaborated with R'n'B singers.

In an attempt to prove they hadn't gone soft, along came the "controversial" gangster rap. Talk of guns happened. Bitches. Knives. Crackheads.

As a result of this, up popped the new-school hark-back-to-the-old-school artists. A few very talented producers breathed new life into an element of hip-hop that was being forgotten - the beat. Rather than just put a banging, bass-drum-driven drum loop with a gritty bassline, they started to bring the sample back.

Lots of tracks with soft, female-voice samples cropped up, with all variety of rappers on them. As far as I'm concerned, it's a great thing.

Anything that promotes, or brings to the forefront, the fact that there is plenty of creativity to be had in the genre, is a good thing.

Hip-hop goes through cycles just like other genres. I'm sure the emergence of battle rap emcees going into the albums scene will cause a new demand for simple, clean beats. Looped samples, not much going on - because they're raw lyricists.

I think the reason you might like listening to grime more than modern hip-hop is because your definition of "modern hip-hop" is meaning the Lil' Wayne's of this world.

Hip-hop is in a stage where the two ends of the spectrum have never been further apart. Ironically, the artists really doing something new are those that are using old material (i.e. sampling old music and getting creative with it).

Good post mate. Got a question like:

I was listening to some classic Eminem material earlier on, and was wondering what everyone thought his best work was ?

Co-sign. There have been other great albums that he's done but nothing can match the sheer ruthlessness and fire that he had on this.

Amityville, Under The Influence, Kill You and Who Knew are favorites of mines, while Stan and The Way I Am are obvious classics too.

Best tune on that album. He absolutely murders it.

That being said, I think he was lyrically at his best at points of his next album, The Eminem Show. Cleanin' Out My Closet, Hailie's Song and Sing for the Moment are amongst his best lyrical output ever.

He is another white boy trying to rap.

Have to agree about Termanology. He has probably the least personality of any rapper I've heard in a while. He's sounds like one of the forgettable guests you'd hear on a random 90's posse cut, who was really only on the track because he was in the famous rappers crew. He does have his moments though (well moment I suppose, Watch How It Go Down is his only memorable track, mostly cause of the beat).

I usually don't like even the thought of "purchasing" mixtapes since a lot of them are fillered, but Game has some good mixtapes. Still probably best downloading them mate, not even sure if it's legal to buy mixtapes anymore, no idea how the DJ Drama court-case went about mixtape-selling. Anywho, recommendations:

MF Doom is mad over-rated. Boring delivery and voice - just meh to me.

And what did you expect for a mainstream hit in regards to the Em song? The video was quite funny though, but I have no idea why he's started rapping with that fake annoying voice. If he does that on the whole of Relapse I'm going to cry.

Hunter
16-04-2009, 00:28
Definitely, "that" staged annoying voice is beyond nails on a chalk board now. It was only partially used on Mockingbird and thus the song wasn't bad, but now he's taking it to extreme proportions. I hope for his sake that this voice isn't an attempt to re-create the Slim Shady persona which has now passed.

I agree that hes overrated (by underground heads at least) and has a boring voice but his wordplay is second to none.

I think thats where his, for the want of a better word, niche is. The fact that his voice is grating and his beats are kinda left field.

18-04-2009, 11:04
Joe Budden is great, his Mood Muzik 2 has to be one of the best mixtapes made in the last 5 years. I can see how some people may not like him, because his voice is rather unique. But in terms of his ability, Joey is a monster.

Hunter
18-04-2009, 19:14
Have you got Padded Room Hunter?

Yeah, probably the last album I've bought. Haven't purchased many recently since they still fucking expensive. Decent DVD titles can be bought for about £3, whereas you're lucky to find decent CD's in shops for much less than £10. They seriously need to reduce the prices of CD's if they intend to sell records at all. All mixtapes should be free, and albums should be about £6, that is very reasonable.

I think I paid about £9 for Padded Room, but Budden deserves the support really. I've been listening to both Mood Muzik 1 and 2 for years now, so it's only right that I buy his new album. Saying that, I haven't fully delved into the abum, I've listened to some of it, but I've also been listening to a lot of other stuff as well.

Noticed as well on the spine of the album, the distributor has spelt his name wrong ? It says Joe Buddden (with 3 d's). Love it.

Hunter, you dont need to purchase material like that especially if I have download links, just hit me up if you need some. Plus, isnt that a mixtape? Something that you would probably get for free in America anyway.

It's not a matter of download links because they're easy to come by, I just like building my CD collection. Padded Room is an album as well, and Joe Budden deserved my money for all the material that he's put out over the years. It sometimes annoys me though when people don't support some of the underground artists, especially when they've been listening to them for years, enjoy them, yet have never bought one of their records.

Just came across this video of The Game during his tour in Africa, and it's truly amazing. He pulls a kid out of the crowd, and The Game passes the mic to him, and the kid performs "Big Dreams" perfectly. Definitely a must watch. I'm downloading it as we speak and putting it onto my iPod. The video begins with build-up to his Africa tour, but after 3 minutes the concert segment begins. Well worth the watch.

MHQ094L_CN0

Think it just shows how much of a cool guy Game really is. The concert I went to, his set lasted a while, and he stayed back afterwards to sign autographs for everyone that wanted them, and have pictures taken. It's easy to understand why Game has a solid core fan base, and that's simply because he appreciates them.

PS: That African kid was a beast.

I believe Rasheed Evans used The Point Of No Return as his entrance music about 6 months or so ago. Fitting song. Although saying that, it's probably not the best on "Revolutionary Vol. 2". It's still a decent song mind.

Gucci Mane > Kid Cudi

I am not getting carried away either. Gucci Mane's buzz is more justifiable than Kid Cudi's. Gucci is a force to be reckoned with in the mixtape circuit, controversy outside of his music has also helped from Young Jeezy's henchmen making an attempt on his life, to him killing one of them in self defence, going to prison, being released, then going back to prison and now being released again. He's also been in the rap business for awhile, unlike Kid Cudi who is just a flash in the pan.

Can't say I've heard any of Tyga's material before, I just know that he got robbed for his chain, that's about it. Tar for the video though, the song is decent and the video is immense. Definitely one that I'll be blasting repeatedly through the summer. I'm downloading the video as I type, it'll be going on my iPod pretty sharpish.

Strange, maybe refresh the page. I had to edit my post about 3 times to find a decent video of it because all the versions I previously tried to embed had embedding disabled, slightly annoying. Should work fine now though, I can view it so I assume it's available for all to see.

Threw in the warning sign as well, just in case of course, don't want to be getting into any bother over it.

EDIT: Still appears to be disabled. Best just clicking the video itself and it will load up the YouTube page, then you can watch it there. Worth it mind.

New song by The Game, produced by Kanye West called "Bang Along". I've tried doing some research on the song and it seems that it's brand new, it's just been put onto YouTube today as well. As opposed to going in hard like Game usually does, this is a more deep song. Game and Kanye work together beautifully here, and I must have had this on repeat for the last 30 minutes already.

I think it's safe to say that Eminem has stepped his game back up with "Relapse", some songs are still quite average - but not because they're "comedy" attempts, more so just a bit boring. However there's some good songs on the album, and a couple of great songs worth listening to. I can also say that he doesn't use THAT voice for the whole album either, he seems to revert back to his usual voice on many tracks. Most notably "Underground" which is a major highlight for me, could have told me that it came straight from Marshall Mathers LP and I wouldn't have queried it.

Eh, Relapse is nothing outstanding at all. Pretty dissapointing bar a few tracks such as Beautiful and Underground. Just dissapointed a lot of his content is still gimmicky and boring and for such a ground-breaking comeback it's just like 'eh really? one of your songs you've chosen to signify your back to take over the game is based solely on fucking Mariah and dissing Nick Cannon? eh..'.

It's a shame because his flow is so fucking on point and he's still an amazing lyricist, but it's so far away from SSLP or MMLP. I guess it's harsh to compare it to them in the first place but that's the bar he's set. It's fairly solid, but nothing classic. The fact there's a handful of very good songs on there is promising for me though, as he's rumoured to be dropping something else in the near future aswell.Eminem has been crap since Encore.
Doesn't mean he lost the ability to rap or use his normal voice.

HH
11-05-2009, 22:41
I agree with Keyser, theres an overall feeling towards 'Underground' from rap fans in general. But there are people who only listen to Eminem and will consider the whole album decent.

Someone should give him a few problems so that he can reach the heights of his earlier material, but by no means is this latest attempt totally shit, he may just be getting warmed up.

Hunter
12-05-2009, 01:07
From what is being said, his next album which will be released this year is going to be better which will no doubt keep us anticipating it. Even before "We Made You" and "3AM" were released, Eminem's camp were saying that the album later this year is shaping up more solidly.

It's definitely too harsh comparing albums he's releasing now to Marshall Mathers LP and the like. No one compares Nas's new albums to Illmatic, because in all honesty it's unfair and he will never ever top Illmatic. Quite like how Eminem will never top the Marshall Mathers LP, we've just got to appreciate any further good music he releases.

Anyone notice how this well rumoured Proof tribute song wasn't on Relapse ? Can only guess it will be on the next album, he may not even have recorded it yet as I've heard he's still having difficulty coming to terms with it all. Will make for interesting listening on his next CD.

Can't find a better cover than that, but...

I have to say that is a classic mixtape right there! I've been listening to it since late '05.

Also in this CD you ordered does it also include the freestyle tracks (where he raps over other rappers beats)? Or were they taken out?

That mixtape should of been like his second album.

Not sure "Death Of The Auto Tune" will be on Blueprint 3, I guess we'll just have to see, in fact I'm not even sure when the album is coming out anymore, probably back end of this year I imagine, possibly Summer if we're lucky.

As for the Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous, I can only bow down to you for buying it. No collection is complete without it, and it is undoubtedly one of my all time favourites. The DOA song is okay, but doesn't move me so much. Mostly because my taste in music has changed so much over the past two years, that the music Jay-Z makes probably won't really move me.

I still listen to Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint, does are classic albums to me, and also various songs off his other albums. American Ganster and Kingdom Come were both bad albums to me.

HH
08-06-2009, 12:45
I thought American Gangster had it's moments and it was well produced. But what's really tough for rappers of his status is trying to top what they have done in the past, deemed as instant classics. Like Nas and Illnatic or Em and Marshall Mathers LP.

Hunter
08-06-2009, 12:47
I thought American Gangster was superb, the whole concept and theme was great. Not just that, I thought the production was flawless and Jay-Z hit his stride again and produced some quality songs, the album very much tells a story, with the implications and successes of being a "gangster". I'd honestly put it up there with some of Jay's best material, but again, it's all preference.

HH
08-06-2009, 12:56
I thought the intro was the best I'd ever heard becuase it had set the tone for the whole album. I also felt that the album was to stamp his 'swagger' into the game.

Hunter
08-06-2009, 13:06
Most albums nowadays seem to be somewhat confused about their direction, between serious songs, club tracks and the guest appearances. American Gangster didn't have that problem, it was solidly focused throughout with minimal guest appearances and a core theme which Jay based the album on very well. It was a pure album, Jay-Z just rapping his arse off on the tracks.

Hunter

Has anyone picked up the Eminem Featured XXL?

Quite extensive on his impact on Hip Hop and white rappers. Also, from what happened to him recently, he talks about his troubles and I think he confirmed that his next album is already done and ready for release.

not read the interview ,or do i know about his new album ,but he says on one of his skits when hes talking to paul that he has two albums ready so he probably released relapse and kept the other one back i reckon.. but Relapse is a poor album and the worst hes released imo hopefully the other ones much better

Yeah, expect his new album at the end of the year. I have to say that I don't think Relapse is anywhere near a poor album to be honest, admittedly some songs are distinctly average but others are excellent. There is a handful of seriously good songs on the album, and to consider Relapse worse than Encore baffles me. Glad to hear that "Beautiful" is going to be his next single as well because that's definitely one of my favourites of the album, along with "Déjá Vu" which is quality.

HH
16-06-2009, 15:45
Aye, Deja Vu is my favourite from the entire album. Im just glad he's back this summer of all times. Last summer we had Nas, Lil Wayne and The Game with major releases, so its nice to see another big name with the limelight. You cant get tired of Eminem, whether its this new release or his past work.

anyway fock all the other bs hip hop albums this year
Raekwon only built for cuban link 2 is coming out August 11th ..cant wat for that.. RZA supposed to be back to his best after the un wu-tang style 8 diagrams and dre's gave raekwon a few beats but could only end up being 1 of dres beats on there .. but that wouldnt be such a bad thing anyway because we know RZA is delivering the goods, that real grimey wu-tang sound ....

Actually i liked the chorus.

It's quite a decent song, I'm doing other stuff at the moment so I wasn't totally focused on it which you usually have to be when listening to Lupe at times because he's so complex. I've only just got out of the shower though and I'm in a nice thick robe so kicking back on my chair and listening to that was very pleasant, I could literally go to sleep right about now.

Thanks for posting it mate.

Unfortunately not. I'm under the impression he got hit on the head so hard that feels he's Rick Ross. Also it seems that in a song they've helium'ed up Freddie Mercury's voice.

From what I've heard so far (I haven't listened very thoroughly)
The lyrics weren't as bad as usually nowadays. I think you should definitely check it out, but the instrumentals put me off to be honest.

It was always coming anyway, let's just see how it ends up. I remember Jay being quoted to have brushed it off, saying something like 'let him commit suicide', so I guess Jay was waiting for the first jab.

This really will be interesting, I fully agree.

HH

Game was also waiting for something like this so that he could come out of his 'retirement'.

I dont want it to get ugly though because I like both of them, when it was 50 and Game, I was already leaning towards Game but this is different.

"Keep the crown, clown, I rock an LA Dodger Fitted,
I showed my ass at Summer Jam but New York was down with it,
Now the ball's in my court, never dribble out of bounds with it.
Behind the back to Nas, he alley oop to Jigga, Nigga"

Mjällharth
06-07-2009, 23:13
I don't know really, I'd always take Nas over Jay but I'm also confident that Jay-Z > The Game, although that is hard to determine.

HH
06-07-2009, 23:19
Game wont give a shit who the guy is, you can already feel as though he will be the one who will be disrespectful to everything to do with Jay.

Hunter
06-07-2009, 23:24
I really couldn't say myself I'd be confident that Jay would win, unless you're just saying Jay-Z is the better artist which I can agree with.

Jay-Z has produced some quality songs over the years, and is still reinventing himself to stay relevant today which is quite remarkable. Game though when it comes to battle rapping, as we all know is damn ruthless. It truly brings out the beast within him and I honestly couldn't say who I think will win if they go all out at each other lyrically of course. Jay might have a bigger following in terms of fans, but we'll see how it all unfolds as Game destroyed G-Unit's reputation to the point of no return.

alkemy007
07-07-2009, 02:04
Game is actually not a bad Emcee but Jay-Z just got that swagger in his flow and is more polished..think Jay-Z would come out on top.

BTW...I am LOVING the DOA Remix by Chase & Status...It bangs like hell...Im gonna rinse this on my Radio Show for the next few weeks....peep it.

A few Live Lounge performances you might have missed. Ive always listened in on them, even if its not my kind of music, because sometimes artists try to cover a rap song.

Good to see Ash Roth having fun with it, always nice to see rappers messing about and enjoying themselves rather than mean-mugging all the time.

I was pleasantly surprised with his Asleep In The Bread Aisle album, admittedly there were some filler tracks but it was a solid 3/5 rating in my opinion. Also nice to see his "Be By Myself" song getting some decent airplay, along with it's decent video.
