My Favourite Actor Has To Be Tom Hanks. Followed Closely By Kevin Spacey.
I have Grown Up With Tom HAnks In Toy Story, Felt Happy Watching TOm Hanks IN Forrest Gump, Felt Sad Watching Him in Philadelphia, and i don know how i felt watching saving private ryan which is my second favourite film of all time. he got robbed of his oscar for it.

Kevin spacey is close behind him though because of k-pax, la confidential and the best film of all time the usual suspects.

i havent seen american beauty. is it any good?

Alec Guiness, way before Star Wars. Watch the Ladykillers, Dr Zhivago, Bridge over the River Kwai to see an actor actually become a different character for each film.

Just brilliant frankly! People like De Niro and Pacino (who have become parodies of themselves) could do a lot worse than going back to see some of his work.

i saw bridge on the river kwai last year and thought t was quite good but not amazing. even if you look at it from different views. s a war film i think lawrence of arabia and saving private ryan are better. a film about prisoners... well Shawshank is in a league of its own.

Tom Van Dyck from "Het eiland - The island", but I think no one will know this guy.

I agree that the other films are probably superior, but Kwai is a true story, which does make it more dramatic in my opinion. Not that that is a requirement for a film to be good mind!

Oh yeah, you gotta watch American Beauty, it's Spacey's finest hour. Starts off as a whodunnit. Six feet under (though scripted) and desperate hoursewives are poor carbon copies of suburban dissection.

Spacey and Norton. Then of course, the obvious admiration for Pacino, Depp and DeNiro. Tom Hanks never really makes a bad movie either.

But Kevin Spacey probably tops the list, even if he is a pooftah (allegedly)

He hasnt really made any outstanding ones either though has he.

Johnny depp is amazing for reasons already mentioned (play any role), he has played a camp pirate, an agent, a weirdo in sleppy hallow, he is going to play willy wonka, he has even played a boy with scissor hands

Matt Damon - The Talented Mr Ripley and that maths one with Robin Williams, is very good.

Marlon Brando - Everything he's ever done.

Clint Eastwood - The ultimate cowboy/detective etc...

Morgan Freeman - Driving Miss Daisy and Shawshank say it all.

Sidney Poitier - In the Heat of the Night is great, & he helped break racial divides in Hollywood.

Tom Selleck - One of only 2 men in history who can pull off a moustache. :) The other being Hitler. :(

My favourite actors are....

John Travolta - has always done great films, a great actor, although the punisher film isn't his best.

Sean Connery - Again I have never seen a bad movie yet from sean connery, played brilliantly in the bond movies and every other film he has been in.

Matt Damon - played excellent in The Bourne series, those are great movies.

Nicholas Cage - can play a great action star

Chris Tucker - He just makes me laugh

Sean William Scott - Same as Tucker

Brian Dennehy: "Get me an old guy who can mix it up!!" Awesome!!
Gary Busey: "Get me an asshole in here right now!!" Always delivers
Brian Brown: "Get me an Australian right now!!" No film he won't do F/X, F/X2.

God damn it get out of Pacino's ass!! All he does is shout and OVER act.
Don't get me wrong he has done some of the greatest films ever; Scarface, Carlitos way. But then you watch the new stuff (Devils Advocate) and all he does is shout his lines and overly gesticulate.

De Niro is a hard man from the Bronx and nearly every characture he plays is a hard man from the Bronx. Wow how diverse can you get.

They are great actors but I'm getting sick of all the praise that they get.

Johnny Depp has it all!!
Granted his English accent was piss poor in From hell, but that is more the producers fault for wanting an American to be English.
But apart from this blip on his C.V he has done very little wrong.

Plus his missus is proper fit!!!

P.S John Travolta???!!! Come on, think about it?? Pulp Fiction, shit hot, then there is???? Swordfish?? That crap with the special power?? Punisher??

Next you will be trying to sneek Stallone onto the list because he made Rocky(the first one is a great movie)!!

I meant 'more' as in 'more in this thread', not in current films you cuntripper.

Brad's good Barry mate, but I'm not sure if he'd make the list though. Bale could get there but he's probably a few films away at the moment, I need more. I'd probably add Johnny Depp, Ed Norton, Gene Hackman, James Stewart and Sean Penn though.

Also Viggo Mortensen hasn't made a bad film in ages, and with Appaloosa and The Road on the horizon he could well be a candidate, good versatility there.

as for Nic Cage. He's balanced i think. Hes a poor actor when you compare him to others agreed, but has been in his fair share of excellent films ... I'd say he's done more shit films tho obviously ... but end of the day, if hes THAT BAD of an actor, why did he win Best Actor Award for leaving las vegas ?

Only thing i hate about Cage is his wigs. They seem to get more and more Wild with each film. I thought nothing would top his Next Wig.. but then that Bancock Dangerious came out and that topped it. I wonder if he has a shrine of wigs in his house. I'd say his Conair wig is his favourite

Rutger Hauer has starred in classics such as Blind Fury and Flesh and Blood.

The fuck has Murray done except Ghost Busters and Groundhog Day?

And let's not forget Lady Hawk. Hauer's finest work. It certainly beats the crap out of Lost in Translation, which i haven't seen, actually, as i'm sure it's an utterly shite film.

Don't you two faggot cunts ever insult Hauer in my presence again. His superb resume includes the brilliant Surviving the Game, Blind Fury, Split Second, Flesh and Blood, The Hitcher, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Soldier of Orange, not to mention Blade Runner, which I don't really like but is universally regarded.

Now onto Murray. Scrooged and the Ghostbusters films are of course entertaining, and of course, we all know Kingpin is genius. But what value is Murray beyond that, really? A bunch of shit indie-fag pieces in recent times has ensured he's tarnished his career considerably.

Barry
