Damn that's hard!

I would say it's Chelsea.. but I'll wait for the others to bet first..

Can't see Chelsea even getting a draw to be honest. Without their 2 main outlets (Robben & Duff) i think they'll get a beating. Not a bad one. Maybe 2-0 Barca.

I'd like Chelsea to win...

Yup, exactly what Lorenzinho said, apart from the last line of course. :p

With robben, duff, bridge, gallas?, drogba maybe out it will be hard for chelsea to break down barcelona. I reckon Eto will provide to much threat to chelsea.

I'm going with Barcelona, just because its their home field.

I was backing Chelsea to win this tie before all their injuries, but im not so sure now! I think they will probably get a draw. I would like all 4 english Clubs to go through.

Favourites I think are Man U, Then Arsenal, then Chelsea and Liverpool.

Eto'o, follow by Deco, and Ronaldinho

Barcelona will probably start Deco, the diving crybaby who will do his very best at winning them dodgy free kicks and penalties.

He's been in great form recently though. The 12 year old diving twat.

This is insanely difficult. With Gallas a doubt our defence is looking suspect. At least with Gallas fit, we could've put him at left back and had a full-strength very defensively minded back line. But with him out it looks like we'll have to play Johnson on the right and Ferreira on the left.

Midfield should be alright, Lampard, Makelele and Tiago, but I fear they'll have to play so deep that we'll never really get going.

I just hope Drogba will be fit. He'll be vital. If our midfield is too deep, then at least he can hold up the ball to relieve the defence while support from midfield appears. Alternatively, he's also got the pace to support a counter attacking game. Joe Cole's pretty fast too, although Kezman and Eidur can make Naybet look fast on occasions.

I might repeat my Newcastle bet, betting on the outcomes I don't want to I can't lose, but the odds don't really favour that.

Fuck it.

15,000 on the good results.

LiamK

7500 on the draw and Chelsea.

Carvalho and Terry all over Eto'o. Terry to rough him up a bit and defend crosses, Carvalho to match him for pace and generally just be a nuisance hovering around him for 90 minutes.

Ferreira on the right shutting up Guily like he has done with every left-winger in the Premiership this season. Gallas on the left, drifting inwards when needed to do the business with Ronaldinho and co.

Cech in between the sticks plucking every cross out of the air while being pelted with coins by the Catalan idiots behind the goals.

Makelele here there and every-fucking-where as usual, while probably getting racially abused. Lampard and Tiago hopefully braking Deco's legs multiple times. Then both getting forward to support our attack who'll probably score about 7 or 8 times.

Easy.

Edit:

Chelsea win, Scum and Arse both lose, I win 73,200 points :)

I'm going for a narrow Barca win.

I reckon Chelski will set their stall out to defend for 90 minutes, and Barca will get a breakthrough.

However, if Barca score early, I can see them going on to win convincingly.

For one of the first times, I wont be supporting the English team in a European tie.

Barcelona will probably start Deco, the diving crybaby who will do his very best at winning them dodgy free kicks and penalties.

Deco is probably the best midfielder playing in La Liga, and surely one of the best midfielders in the world. He's able to defend, attack, pass, shoot, cover every inch of the field and never gets tired. He's the key player of Barcelona (not Ronaldinho).

None of you seem to know where the real danger of barcelona is coming from, and that's Deco, Xavi and Albertini (or Marquez, depending on initial formation). Deco and Xavi are the most technically skilled midfield in Europe. Don't forget they alone totally controlled and outruned Milan AC, Madrid and the likes.

I particularly wouldn't like Chelsea to play as poorly as Milan or Madrid in Nou Camp. Both teams only came to defend. And both did loose. If Chelsea comes here to draw, they will be beaten for sure.

The only team that came to defend succesfully was Celtic, and they had all the luck in the world and much more!

I doubt Rikaard would worry about Chelsea on the level...I hope Mourihno dosen't let Deco get on the ball too much and....the nerves getting in :p :o

mourinho knows deco and he'll tell players to close him down quick as he doesn't like physical stuff and at times can be easly pushed off the ball

looks like Ko time so i'm off to enjoy the game :D (c'mon barce)

Good score don't care what noone says away goal, Barca were just to much had atleast 15+ shoots Drogba's sent off was stupid for sure  and he should have scored his goal with that one on one.

That ref was the same dumbass REF that dissallowed Terry's goal at the world cup against Portugual and he was the worst man on the pitch. J.T. was great and should he is world class defender, great blocks, great anticipation and didn't let Etoo turn to meny times.

Their goal was lucky, the second one clear shot but was dragged wide....gezzz that was a nervous game. :o

i felt that the call on dragba was a little harsh. anywho barca played pretty well plus chelsea never actually scored, it was a own goal.

Cray
24-02-2005, 00:02
why Makelele got racially abuse, where there is eto'o? maybe Makelele played in real before....

LiamK
24-02-2005, 01:11
Because the Spanish people that insist on abusing these players are morons.

It really is as simple as that, they just don't seem to be able to put the fact that racist chants insult all black players, not just the opposition ones.

Figо10
24-02-2005, 05:37
Chelsea are as good as through to the next stage after Barca scored an own Chelsea away goal.

By then at Stamford Bridge, more players would be available and match fit for playing.

Err...was the payoff instantaneous or did someone donate to me a quite generous sum...?

Anders Frisk is sh!te. There sooner he p!sses off back to Sweden to star in some low grade porn the better. How Deco didn't get booked for that dive is beyindme, and then Drogba gets sent off.

Valdes should meet Bert Trautmann to see what the real men in nets used to be like.

(From www.soccernet.com)

Something said by Rafael Marquez:

'Everyone had talked about Super Chelsea before the game, but I didn't see anything super out there.'

'The only team that played football was us. When a team just waits for their opponents or the referee to make a mistake then it makes you angry.'
