Which of the english clubs you lads think are goin through to next round? Never thought i'd be sayin it but it looks like Liverpool will go through, if they dont cock it up...Arsenal are out i reckon, Milan vs United and Chelski vs Barca are too close to call

it would be good 2 prove ronaldinhos prediction 2 be wrong of 'all english teams will be knocked out'. Hope Liverpool get through, will be hard 4 the rest though.

I agree liverpool have the best chance. but it depends which liverpool turn up.
if its the lack luster liverpool we have seen 4 most of the season, they will get knocked out. Hopes Rafa sticks with carson

Arsenal: Need 2-0 to go through, possible but unlikely. Though I want them to go through. (Makaay out for Bayern)

Chelsea: Need to win 1-0, or by two goals. They can do it, but considering they are facing Barca, possibly the best and most entertaining team in the world, it's easier said than done.

Liverpool: Will go through, but need to be careful when playing away. Germans are always good at home ground.

ManU: Still have a chance to go through, but after losing 1-0 at Old Trafford, they have to beat Milan at San Siro. This will be very difficult, considering they have only lost home twice this season. ManU have lost only twice playing away in the prem, but haven't won a single away game in CL this season.

My best 8 prediction: Bayern, Liverpool, Monaco, Juventus, Barca, Inter, AC Milan, Lyon

i think maybe real or PSV might get through-just a feeling.

Chelsea would progress at the expense of Barcelona.

And Arsenal would triumph over German rivals Bayern.

maybe lyon cud do a porto????

I love suprises, but any team that beats Werder by 10-2 aggrogate must be good.

lyon r full of pace which makes em dangerous

Cristiano07

i would stick with carson, but it looks as though dudek will be back in 2night. He just adds at bit more experience then carson. Kirkland could be good like woodgate he is always snapped. If your a leeds supporter, you can have kewell back if you want?

dudek is experienced in making mess ups. i hate it when managers put ppl in who are half fit or in poor form just coz experienced. leeds got to semis without any experience. anyway, i think we will do alright tonight. if can get a goal i can't c us goin out but then again they are good at home as we found few years ago

the first half will b key, if they get through it ok i think they'll b alright

i know what you mean he always sticks with experienced players 4 big games, i would like to see carson have a run in the team, from what i have heard he souds good, but saying that neil sullivan kept him out of leeds team (maybe that was down to experience)

to be fair neil sullivan has been blinding for leeds all season (from what i've seen and heard). i would like to see him given a run as well. don't like keep chopping and changing keepers. if he is good enough for prem then good enough for europe. look at rooney in summer. hardly seasoned pro

i agree Sullivan has being good this season. if dudek makes a clanger 2night. i want him out and carson in

good point. if ur not experienced enough then how r u gonna gain it unless u play

i agree mate. i mean i'm not advocating sticky in a load of youngsters with no experience, but at some point he's gotta play in the champs league. only things against him is lack of top flight experience. i just panic that dudek will make another clanger all in the name of experience.

Morientes19
09-03-2005, 15:59
when dudek plays i am not confident in him. he makes one or 2 really spectacular saves then they are usually overshadowed by a howler

benitez cud loan him out 2 prem team 2 c how he handles it, cause if cant its not harmin ur chances of CL football and if he copes u can just call him back

no chance of that. we need him as back up. kirky is snapped and paul harrison is even less experienced.

kemp
09-03-2005, 16:05
that might not be a bad option. though i think reason he chose us over chelsea was coz we can offer him first team football fairly soon. scottgoodall - does that remind u of another liverpool keeper we have had? shockin.

Cristiano07
09-03-2005, 16:08
dont understand y benitez stays loyal 2 dudek. y wont he play carson, just cause hes inexperienced. well all the spanish guys are inexperienced in the prem but he plays them

kemp
09-03-2005, 16:11
yeah i was thinkin that. maybe he trusts the spanish players more than english. i mean neither nunez, alonso or garcia have real experience in european football. what u make of ur game last night?

Cristiano07
09-03-2005, 16:13
cant complain, best team went through ova the 2 legs. we matched em in most departments apart from takin our chances. all our big players went missin

kemp
09-03-2005, 16:15
yeah i saw bits of it and just seemed players like ronaldo and rooney didn't perform. van nistelrooy is nowhere near sharp enough. same thing as our keeper situation - was picked coz experienced and great record thou not match fit
