wheres the jet pack in GTA?
The jet pack can only be used after you have done the mission where you steal it from the army base. There is a cheat to spawn it though.
up down left right l1 l2 r1 r2 up down left right

Friio obviously he hasn't completed the game yet if he doesn't have the jetpack! It's unlocked in that mission I wrote about.

Is it just me or does anyone else think tht GTA3 was the best GTA game on ps2? I mean wit San An you hve to exercise to keep fit!!! I can barely be arsed to go the gym in real life, i dont wana go the gym in a game 2!! At first it was gr8 but then it got borin the scene in the game changed from gang wars to bloody farm wars!! Im just fed up wit San An now, havnt even bothered to complete it, giv me Liberty City any day!!

It's crap anyway. I tried it ages before it got into the news and no matter how slowly or even how quickly I press the keys in order to enter and then retract, the level of hmmm "happiness" just keeps going down until it throws me outside and tells me to try again after another date.

I know some PC versions have got the "Hot Coffee". I have the PC version but never even made it out of LS because my cursor fucked up in the game.

Couldn't agree more man, I've been on it for the last 4 or 5 days since getting it. While the graphics are shit, you fast adapt back to them and forget about them most of the time. The gameplay is literally second to none. I'm not too far in the game mind, just done a few missions. What I love doing is on the night, getting my all black lowrider with green interior (obviously), rounding up a few of the homies, and just slowly cruising with the hydraulics pumped looking for ballas to blast. :cool:
I have like 4 Lowriders, tricked out all parked in my garages. And I can remember the missions being much harder than they are now, I find them quite easy, except for the Big Smoke mission where you have to follow the train while Smoke blasts a few Vagos. A cunt of a mission!

Man, I need more than one property, it's just mental a few available ones being in the middle of balla territory. Honestly don't think I could risk it.
That motorcross bike mission chasing the train with Big Smoke is a little bit of a bitch I have to agree. I remember having major difficulty with it when I first played on San Andreas, this time though, thankfully I completed it on the 4th go or something.
No matter how much trouble I'm in, I feel safe whenever I enter Grove territory. :cool:
Ah that train mission was a bastard, I kept failing it so I left the game for like 6 months or so then when I came back I did it :D
On the PS2, I ended up using the jetpack cheat. Now Ive got this PC version, I dont really want to cheat. I just hate what Smoke says after you fail. Something like: "All we had to do, was follow the damn train CJ!"

His epic lines when you go through the Cluckin' Bell drive-thru though. I'll have two numbers 9s, a number 6 large with extra dip. :laugh:

So much more to it than 4... and then Gamespot have the cheek, and downright idiocy to award GTAIV a 10... things completely went down hill there after Greg Kasavin left...

I thought I would have enjoyed GTAIV more, having been to New York a few years ago I was of the impression I'd drive around the different boroughs and recognise things, be able to smile about it. IV is the current pinnacle of immersive sand-box gaming. It's equally beautiful and technically superior to anything else out there and yeah, it was damn fine to play. But it lacked something. Something important to the GTA series. As Hunter has already said, fun.
It's the lack fun involved in pointless roaming around in the game that has made me seek out SA once more.

Sure, many people would've loved IV to have the fun aspects of San Andreas in it, but with the next gen game they've gone for realism and sacrificed quite a bit of the fun.
Is GTA IV the best R* could've produced? Probably not. It wouldn't have taken much for them to make huge planes flyable or to add more of the "little" things that made San Andreas the game it was. From a business standpoint though, having GTA IV the way it was can only be seen as a good move. Had IV been San Andreas with fancy graphics and all the fun stuff wrapped in it, making another GTA would've been harder I think, to give it a distinct difference between it and IV.
It's annoying, I know. PES and FIFA have done stuff like this for years, and so have loads of other games. They add stuff, people like it, it gets removed, then it gets called an upgrade when it's brought back in a couple of years. It still sells though.

Yeah, I've got Saints Row 2. Done about 3 missions on it though and never gone back. I'm by no means a trophy whore, but that's what it's lacking...the extra incentive to play it.

SR2 was a blast. It had all the stupidity of SA but wrapped up a, little prettier. Shame that the best bit of the whole story was the first mission,escaping prison.

Have you got a backwards compatable PS3? If yes, go get a PS2 copy, it runs like a dream. If not... well, tough shit.

San Andreas was fun, and was meant to be. GTA IV took a "motion picture" turn which is why some people didn't get on with it.
By "not trying to make IV better than SA", I just meant that they feel like completely different games, and it wasn't really supposed to be SA's sequel/upgrade.

I think it's as simple as wanting a new direction. But with the new console + multi-platform support, I don't think having all the little things that made SA awesome was part of the idea, I think it was finding their feet in this generation of gaming.
Think about how much more is getting added into TBOGT since they're catering for just the one platform. Still not SA-esque add-ons but it's inching closer and closer.

My main bug with iv over SA is the killling potential!It is an 18+ so why have those things retarded?I aint gonna mow anybody over with a combine in real life or flamethrower so why deny me.I wanted a pointed stick in this one or a pit bull.The graphics are enhanced but giving me a mobile proved like just in real life when having a shit or in a mission when textd by a girlfriend became a pain in the arse!Every game so far gave you a new toy,iv denied you(jetpack etc).i get the feeling consoles are reaching thier pinnacle and the software or thier programmers arent reaching thiers.Im just hoping Gran Turismo 5 proves me wrong
How great is this game? I'm still playing it every other day or so.
Played a bit yesterday and it's better than I remembered it to be. Still prefer IV though.
Been playing this today, was playing for a good few hours just fucking about and it's bought back so many memories. After not playing it for so long I'm addicted and loving playing through it again, just hope the new one is more like this.
