Who do you all think will win the champions leauge this season i think it wont be madrid his year especially if they were to lose makelele and not buy a very good center back. If Manchester United can keep RVN fit they have a hell of a chance to take it back where it belongs. On a another point are tickets on sale yet for stuttgart at home as someone is getting me tickets so if anyone knows it would be of great help. Ta

If it did i would not be shocked be a late bid from manchester or madrid for even if it was a deal were a transfer would go throught in jan. By the are you home or away to betis tonight?

Aparently real madrid are very close to signing ayala, and to b honest i think that will make them firm favourites for the champs league as they will b very strong all round now. But i wouldnt write off man utd (defender cover is probs needed), juventus or ac milan. I think that chelsea and arsenal wotn have enough experience to go too far in europe. I hope man utd win it, but i think that real madrid will do it, but i guess utd will get something out of it (a few million)

The thing with the arse is this new one group stage will really help them as it is bad sea legs (as they say) rather than not being good also will berghamp travel to any of the away what is it with him and flying anyway I no giggs is a bad flyer but he still goes to any away game so way cant he???

Bergkamp's fear of flying stems from an incident when flying to USA 94 with the Dutch national team. There was an engine cut or something similar and Pretty scary, if you ask me.

I totally respect his decision but it would be great to have him for those long away games.

Speaking of Giggs and Bergkamp, does anybody remember what the amazing Van Basten himself said about them:

"If Ryan Giggs is worth 20 millions, Bergkamp is worth a hundred"

A little bias, of course. ;)

Oh right was he the only one left with a fear of flying and i no bergkamp is true quailty and any one who help to mould ruud in the the best striker in the world is alright in my book.
Did he not fly to ajax away last season but or did he drive?

Yep, he drove.

Bergkamp and Mr T are very similar.
"I ain't getting on no plane, sucker!" :)

I heard of one or two other players who don't like to fly either. Can't remember who though. One is British or Irish I think.

I think Bergkamp drove all the way to florence as well in 99. Just imagine if Holland went to last years world cup and he hadnt retired?

Gary Pallister and Paul Ince also hates flying it may come from when they were flying to norwich in 1994 on a windy day when the plane tipped just as there where landing and the wing was inches from hitting the runway and it prodly didn't help when the piolt told him you'll never come that close and walk off the plane again.

Inter or Juventus (nedved took it personal cause he didn't played last time this year he wants it)

Robinho

For the record Chivu's signing to AS Roma fell through because Roma are in financial problems but he has joined them on a season-long loan deal instead with the move bound to be completed either in January or at the end of the season

And there's the solution....lace his milk with a sleeping potion.
