Player ratings

In all the years i've been playing these games i've only ever come across one instance where one of my players has received a player rating of 10. It was John Hartson for my master league team and he scored a hat trick. Do any of you get consistant 10's or is this a real rarity? Any tips on what effects the rating given that I was playing with classic holland once, won the game 9-0 and Neeskens scored every single goal and he only received an 8.

i've scored hattricks on many occasions but i've never got a 10 for it. most i got was a rare 9.0 for Henry scored a couple and he may have assited some as well.i've done this many times before since but highes i seem to get is 7.0

i always get 5.5 or 6 even if i win. i don't think they spent as much time developing this area.

I've never seen a 10 given. The most i've ever got has been a 9.5, which was given to Henry after he scored 4 goals. The ratings are bollocks. Keepers and defenders can have superb games and are given 6.5.

my highest rating was 8.5 for Ronaldinho. i tried doing nearly everything with Ronnie to get a higher rating but it never worked. I scored FK, long shots, last minute goals and even hat trick in one match using ronnie but never seen a 10 rating.

But can anyone explain how the ratings are worked out. Is there some sort of system and if so, what is it?

i think its base on the players performance.

example: beckham successfully passed a ball to his team mates 40/75
beckham scored 0/4 shots on goal
etc........
i think you are getting the idea now.

I received a 10 rating only once. I was playing in the European Cup with Italy, and I was down 3-1, and won 4-3, with Vieri scoring a hatrick with his head, and one assist. Its really rare though. I think for attackers it depends how many goals they score from the chances they get. For mid-fielders its passes & Distance they run, for defenders the number of tackles they make, and number of saves for keepers.

i got a 9.5 with ljunberg he scored three in the last ten minutes to bring us back to win 3 to 2.

There was a thread like this once. You should try and search it in the football forums. But I think the most someone got was a 9, but I could be wrong. The most I got was an 8.5. The way it's calculated is goals v. shots on target, complete passes and complete dribbles, plus your mistakes.

My highest is 8, with Ivan Kaviedes acoring with his only touch with 2 mins left for Crystal Palace (off the bench). So in other words a 100% success rate!

I find the rating very strange since the best players in my team (at least I think they're the best) don't get good ratings and some players who hardly get the ball get high ratings.

I've had a 10, but only once, and that was during the first few months of PES3, can't remember who it was with. I find the ratings are generally lower on PES4, think the highest I've had is 8 or 8.5

They should follow the Football Manager way of ratings, much better.

I've definately had a few 9.0's but thats bloody rare. I may be dreaming but i think back on pes2 or 3 i did once get a 9.5 with a striker. I've never seen a 10 from anyone, but i'll keep on aiming for it. The usual rating i get if i have a really good game is just a 7.5 for the man of the match.

It's so innaccurate it's unbelievable though. I've had games where a player will do nothing but give the ball away and he gets a 7.0 and others where a keeper will play a blinder and come out with a 5.5. Konami really need to sort it out.
