Shooting well

is it just me or does it some times help not to hold directional buttons while shooting especialy when running on to the ball or long range ?? coz i have scored some serious goals like that

It depends on the shot accuracy of the players your kicking it with really. If he has a good accuray(above 80) it almost always will go straight, i reckon. But with long shots especially, up to 40-45 meters, ( i love scoring from that distance..its always a thrill) i never press the directional button because you never know where its going to go, so i leave it to the player's 'discretion'. :)
