I'm not taking any shots at any of you with that comment. I know James decided to sell at a time when many were looking for top strikers so its sort of understandable that the bidding sky rocketed.

I was never asked my opinion, I didn't know about the deal until it was completed, but even if I had, I wouldn't have complained as i'd have left it for you to decide if you thought he was worth it.
I don't like the way prices are so inflated either, I doubt anyone does, and the only thing it's achieving is denying us more deals, but we're all at fault for paying and valuing players so highly. Hopefully that will change before the next transfer window, and we can all go back to slightly more realistic deals, but I somehow doubt it unless some kind of guidelines are set.

That can't happen, that's the equivalent of just handing over £4m to someone and that isn't allowed. If both parties agree to cancel a deal, then the money and players are returned.
