You can't be serious not including Claude "The Guy Who Does It All" Makelelelelelelelelele.
We all saw how good Chelsea did without him vs. Birmingham. We all see, time and time and time again how Real Madrid are doing without him. Gimme a break man. You chose 2 natural wingers, But where is your backbone? I'd play a sort of a diamond, Makelele and Vieira behind, Lampard in the middle right, Duff a bit more forward and to the left.
Terry or Ferdinand is also arguable but I go with Rio.

The only thing outstanding about Makelele is his discipline and responsiblity to stay in position just infront of the defence line. I don't rate him as that much of a great player. He's a good listener though.
A good listener? What like the kinda guy who doesn't get laid because all the ladies think he's "Their Friend?" What the hell is that?
Maka is probably one of the few DMFs who can hold the bottom pinnacle of a diamond today. His ability to destroy attacks, and more importantly, to prevent counters, is second to none. I don't want to start a "it only shows how little you know about football" rant, so I won't. You can have your opinion, but fact of the matter is that France wouldn't have accomplished what they did in 98 and 2000 without him, and neither would Real in their gloriy years 2-3 seasons ago. The guy's discipline is not his best quality - it's his ablity to read moves, positioning, stamina, almost mistake free, consistency and understanding of the game.
But hey - it's just my (and Mourniho's, who said that if Maka wasn't playing for Chelsea he wouldn't have joined them) opinion, so who gives a shit.

Mistake free ? Makelele is one of the clumsiest players to ever set foot on a pitch.

In all honesty. Cole is bettter than Heinze, Robben has been fucked by injury, Ronaldo has been quite crap but seems to be getting back to form, Ruud just started scoring 2 days ago.

Unlike Maka, Cristiano is not greatly disciplined. Discipline is something Cristiano will gain definetly, in the future. Amazing control, is something Maka will not gain.
