Information For New Managers
At first, the League may look quite complex, and getting started may appear daunting, but following this simple process should make things easy:
1. The list of players belonging to your new squad will either be found in a previous post in the Squad Lists thread or sent to you via PM by an FL mod. Go to the Squad Lists at a Glance (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=30705) thread and copy and paste your squad into a new post.
2. Select your team formation and post them in your division's formations thread (D1 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51667), D2 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51666), D3 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51665)) and the Cup Formations (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?p=1089666) thread, so you're ready for the next set of matches. Check the Fantasy League Schedule 07/08 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51285) thread to view your current and upcoming fixtures. As the league season progresses you'll need to keep an eye on squad rotation. More on that later...
3. When you feel ready, create your team thread in the Press Room Section (http://www.pesgaming.com/forumdisplay.php?f=200) to give an insight into your squad. An example of a good team thread can be found here (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=21964).
The average team thread contains information on squad members, the team's stadium, manager etc., and gives new information on the team, i.e. form and transfers. Feel free to post information about transfers in the Press Room thread (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=20737&page=75), where you will find articles from other managers on players and the League in general. During the transfer window, this thread can be used as a shop window for players
You're now good to go. Keep as active as you can by looking after your team, voting in the matches as much as you can, and keeping up to date with the Fantasy League in general. Good luck and, most of all, have fun!

Squad Limits & Rotation
During the season all squads must contain 22 players, 2 of which must be goalkeepers. During transfer windows teams may occasionally go under or over this limit, but as long as things are in order by the close of the transfer window there's no problem.
While each team may only compete with a 22 man squad, managers are allowed to own a maximum of 25 players on the condition that these extra players are loaned out to other teams. Each manager is also allowed to conduct a limited number of player-for-player loan swaps in addition to, or separate from, individual loans in or out. Teams may loan in as many players are they wish, although obviously the more you loan in, the less you own yourself.
Squad Rotation
Squad rotation will take place in the League and latter stages of the Cup competitions. Cup rotation will be explained when necessary.
In the League, no player can play more than 6 consecutive games, and each squad member must play at least 5 times throughout the League campaign*, and twice (2 times) by the half season point (after game 9).
* If certain players are only in your squad for half a season, be it the first or second half, they need only play two games.
Managers should record rotation in the Squad Rotation Stats (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51805) thread, and update it after every League game.
If rotation rules are broken, managers face the possibility of a points deduction and/or fine, so be vigilant!

Matches
League games are normally posted up on Friday nights.
Cup matches are normally posted up on Tuesday nights, although some will be contested on a weekend. In such a case, there will be an announcement in the Match Discussion (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=22511&page=90) thread.
Your team's formation will be taken from either the Division formation thread that applies to you - D1 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51667), D2 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51666), D3 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51665) - or the Cup Formations (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?p=1089666) thread, depending on what set of games are due to be posted.
To view all your fixtures, visit the Fantasy League Schedule 07/08 (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=51285) thread.
To view the latest League and Cup tables, visit the Results/Tables (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?p=1086327#post1 086327) thread.

Voting
Managers are expected to vote, and give reasons for their votes, as often as possible. Even if not in great detail, a short post containing your reasoning would be appreciated.
If a manager becomes inactive, and fails to post or vote regularly enough, we reserve the right to replace that manager with immediate effect.
Votes from members with less than 30 posts are void.
Votes will not be changed if you have accidentally voted for the wrong option or changed your mind.
Any manager found cheating - asking others to vote for them or registering multiple accounts of their own, for instance - will be immediately removed from the FL and barred from ever running a team again, or participating in any Fantasy League activity.

Transfers
Transfers between teams, signing free agents, and releasing players, can only occur during transfer windows.
There are two windows; a big one that runs from the end of one season to the beginning of another, and a smaller one that takes place at mid-season, between League fixtures 9 and 10.
The only other thing to note, is that if a manager leaves, all their previously agreed transfers will be cancelled out of fairness to the new manager, unless they have already been announced in the last transfer window and the new manager is happy for it to go ahead, or are part of an already agreed package deal where a future transfer may well have been key to allowing an earlier transaction to occur.
i.e 'Rosicky for Lampard permanent swap, with Ribery and C.Ronaldo swapping in the next window.'
Player Values
The Player Values (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=41725) thread contains the current transfer values for every active player in the League. These are a guide as to how much the player is deemed to be worth, and should be used to help you make the transfers as realistic as possible. The fee does not have to be stuck to rigidly, but you should not go too far above or below the value.
Confirming Deals
When you have agreed a deal with another manage, usually via PM or MSN, confirm the deal in the Transfer Talk (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=49919) thread: one manager posts the agreement for the other manager to publicly confirm.
After this is done, one manager should post the deal in the Recent Transfers (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=49920) thread.
i.e. 'Florent Malouda signed for £14m'
Releasing Players
If you wish to release a player from your squad, post that players name along with his value in the Released Players (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=49921) thread.
i.e. 'Djibril Cisse (6m)'
Signing Free Agents
During a transfer window, managers often wish to sign players that aren't currently owned by another manager. To do this you need to open a thread in the Player Values Section (http://www.pesgaming.com/forumdisplay.php?f=246), with the name of the player you want as the thread title.
You will then be quoted a price to be paid in order to acquire that player's services. If the player has been without a club for a while, you will have 48 hours to decide whether or not you wish to sign him. If he has recently been released by another club, you will only have 24 hours to decide.
You can also use a current squad player's value to decrease the fee you have to pay for a free agent, or swap them for free if the values match.
i.e. If one of your squad players is worth 4m, and a free agent is rated at 5m, you can sign the free agent for 1m, in a swap for the squad player.
If your squad player has an equal or higher valuation than the free agent, you may swap them free of charge. However, you may not claim the difference back.
Make sure you check the Squad Lists at a Glance (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=30705) thread and the Player Values Section (http://www.pesgaming.com/forumdisplay.php?f=246) before opening a thread, to ensure the player you want isn't already taken.
The free agent market is designed to offer managers a chance to pick up players they want/think they want. It is not to be used to pick up players you don't want, in order to sell on at a higher price. If you do decide to sell a free agent you have recently signed, you may not charge more than you paid yourself. Alternatively, you may include this player as part of a trade deal for one or more players.
Loans
When loaning a player out, managers may not charge more than £1m for a half-season loan, and £2m for a full-season loan.
Should a manager wish to cancel a loan, the other manager involved must give his consent. The only loans that can't be cancelled are those that are part of a larger deal that sees other players changing hands permanently.
For more information on loans, read the section entitled Squad Limits & Rotation (http://www.pesgaming.com/showpost.php?p=347254&postcount=3).
Bank Balances
After all incomings and outgoings, managers should update their remaining finances in the Bank Balances (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=49974) thread. Posts in the Squad Lists at a Glance (http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=30705) thread must also be updated.
The 'Promotion Draft'
On top of prize winnings, the promoted teams from D2 and D3 have the opportunity to better their chances of survival in the higher League by swapping one of their 'weaker' players for a 'star player' from each of the relegated teams from the League above.
i.e. Manager A and B are promoted from Division 2
Manager X and Z are relegated from Division 1.
As an example, Manager A can then take a player from Manager X in a straight swap for one of their own. Manager B would then trade a player with Manager Z. Manager A would then trade with Manager Z, and Manager B with Manager X.
The same method is used for D3 promoted teams and D2 relegated teams.
Note that such swaps must be roughly position-for-position.
i.e. Manager A may not take Ronaldinho from Manager X in exchange for David James.
