This season, there will be a twist, to make things more interesting. You will have to use all 22 squad members over the 2 Semi-Final matches, therefore using 2 completely separate starting XI's. However, it is up to you to decide how to do this. Whether you want to go full strength for the 1st leg, and use your second string for the 2nd leg, vice versa, or whatever else.

Apologies to James and Vic, as I will most likely be unavailable to post any games up tonight.

Sorry if this sounds like a moan but I am against the idea of using 2 totally different lineups. I know for a fact that I dont have the squad in depth for a good solid formation in the second game. Maybe we could change this and have 7 changes minimum in the second leg

But is doesn't neccesarily have to be a strongest line-up, then weakest. Looking at you're squad, you could definately field two mixed line-ups very capable of getting a win.

I'm unsure of exactly how D3 will work. I notice that Sully only has one 'keeper, and that Cali only has 21 players, however, the idea of rotation in this competition is to test the squad, to make sure no one is just relying on 11 players or so to bring them success.

In view of that I would be completely in favour of allowing Sully to use his keeper 2 and drop one of his outfield players from both matches (as he as 21 outfield players), and allowing Cali to use one player twice.

It will be up to James and Vic how best to get around this obstacle, but I am completely against your suggestion, Sully. Squad rotation is too lenient as it is in my opinion, allowing certain managers, Phatmann for example (no offence, Mike), to use 11 players for pretty much the whole season and beat most teams.

The latter stages of the cup bring the big teams down, and raise the smaller teams up, making for a much more tactical and equal fight. This is where the smaller, but better rounded teams get their opportunity to claim glory.

The best bet for the D3 clubs is to form your preferred line-up for the first leg, taking in to account the rotation rule stated above, and PM it along with a secondary 'ideal' line-up in case you guys get let off - which as I've said I'm completely against - to Scarface and myself.

If James is posting it up, he'll make the decision on the rule and then choose the relevant formation you've sent him. If the games are only going up as I get back at 11.30pm ish, then I too can help him out and choose the right option.

Only the WCL games will have 2 legs, the Division cups are one-off knockout games, so you can choose your strongest XI. I didn't realise i'd put that info under the wrong cup section; my mistake.

If you've changed your team to tie in with those rules, try to get your team changed back within the next hour, as i'll be posting the games shortly after 11.

Just a quick question about Squad Rotation. If I had a player on loan and then bought them half way threw the season how many games do they need to play? In the rules it says that they must play 2 games if you have them half a season but since I've had them for the whole season do they need to play 5?

Nah mate, Egg asked me to post something up and gave me licsence to do as I pleased. This way I felt we could make best use of Barton, Arteta and Maduro as they operate in central roles, aswell as Kezman and Drenthe's pace coupled with Koller's holdup play.

Just seemed the best idea. ;)
