Yeah, you only posted it one day in advance man, and most of us wouldn't have noticed it...

EDIT: And anyway, posting an un-updated lineup should result in the same penalty as not posting a lineup. Or do you allow the fielding of illegal players? :laugh:

HP has already answered this question about a week or two ago. He didn't give a reason, he just said no. And that's how it should be- a few votes for a team is one goal. What do we do with the votes for a draw?

I posted that you'd loose by 3 if there was no formation by the first match. I also talked to plenty of you online about it. If you lost this match, it'll just get your butt in gear to put up a formation sooner.

Also, paying more attention to when things happen would aid in your success. I have the official team formation threads just so I don't have to search. I made them so I can post matches faster. It's your fault if you lost 3-0 this weekend. 1 match in the beginning of the season will not hurt you much, if any.

No draw option because I see no reason to add one to the options.

Although i'm not one of the members who this has hurt, I think all these 3-0 default wins are very harsh. OK, those affected could maybe have been more organised and have posted their formation a while back, but we didn't even know the League was going to start until the morning, so they hardly had any notice at all. If we had been told a week before, I could understand, but i'm sure half the members had no idea we were even starting this soon.

I was deciding who to vote for, but then decided not to, as I thought it was a very close call and my vote wouldn't have made any difference to the final score. I think it was quite a late final vote to Ronaldo, as I can remember it being 5-4 to Haribo before, but i'm sure all the votes were within the allowed period. It matters because you set the Match dates to Saturday for Division 1 and Sunday for Division 2.
If you aren't organised enough then why did you take the role. Simple.

Plus I think everyone wants to see their Fixtures up on time.

Thought it was said that a season would roughly last 3 months, but at this rate we're going (1 match a week) it'll take 18 weeks :eek: I would like ter see games being played more frequently. 3 games in 2 weeks would be good. We could have two during weekends and one in midweek for two-week long periods.

Perhaps we could play some games in midweek or fill the gap with some World Champions League fixtures?

I did that, but they weren't showing at the time, it was a red x. It's strange, the formation shows sometimes and not others. I could have copied the link, but I thought it would give the opponents an unfair advantage if your teams had a red x for some of the match.

What do Fantasy League members think of a new Friday night kick-off time (say sometime between 6-11pm usually) for the League games, at least until HP returns, if he ever does? I think this could gain more votes per match as the forum is usually at it's busiest from Friday-Sunday, but I want to know what everyone else thinks. I was tempted to post the new match fixtures tonight as it would be a better time for me, but thought I better ask what others thought first.

Yeah, last time HP was around he said the plan was to have another draft at the end of the season to sign free agents for £1m each until we have a 22 or 23 man squad, then rotate 2 or 3 players each game.

Yep, that's the idea I had and posted in the Results and Tables thread a week or so ago. If it's 8-7 for example, it'd be 1-1 usually, but this could count as 1-1, but 3-2 on penalties to the member with 8 votes, so they progress to the Semi's. Hopefully, we won't have any ties, but if we do, I guess a 1 day vote will be the only option.

Or both teams can send 5 players (who were on the pitch at the start of the game) forward for the penalty-taking duties, and start a one-day poll to see who'll win the shootout.

I think we should have a penalty shootout in the Haribo-Loren and Ronaldo-Muad games to settle them since they've finished level on votes.

Each manager will choose his five kick takers, the order, and of course their keeper. Only players on the pitch at the start of the game are allowed to take the kicks.

For eg. if Reyes drew with Phat:

Phat selects:

1st kick: Owen
2nd: Ibrahimovic
3rd: Seedorf
4th: Terry
5th: Kaka

Goalkeeper: Casillas


And Reyes selects:

1st kick: Henry
2nd: Alonso
3rd: Figo
4th: A.Cole
5th: Reyes

Goalkeeper: Hildebrand

This method gives us some credit at the very least for having good penalty takers in our team.

You were probably looking at a previous table when some people had played 4 games and others 3. You won 2, drew 1 and lost 1, but Muad got more points as he won 3, lost 1.

Think you should win if its 8-6, but 8-8 would be an extremely deadlocked situation, and only that should get a shooout in my opinion.

Btw why not you have a friendly shootout Reyes and Phat, it'll be brilliant :cool: Reyes has nine great penalty takers but Phat has the better keeper ;)
