View Full Version : Can Host, Cant Join
I have read all the threads here about this particular online pes4 problem but there doesnt seem to be a solution. I have tried forwarding the 5739 UDP Port (can host, cant join) and even enabled DMZ (can host, cant join)
is there a solution to this?
note: i dont have any software firewalls on my computer, just a router

Have you disabled the Windows firewall?
I dont have a windows firewall as i dont have SP2. The part in my adsl connection where it says:
"protect my computer and network . . . . .from the internet"
is also unchecked.
This problem only occurs for PES4. Every other game i own works perfectly for me as either a client or a host.

Have the same problem and getting desperate...no one knows a solution to this?
I'm not up for writing a 1000 word essay on how you can get it working, but Im on a shared internet connection in my bedroom, client pc, and i play people using routers etc too!... I can host/client games fine. Just thought i'd say nothings impossible! Just keep searching for help, its possible!

i've got the same problem. not been able to fix it for a long time
Well I've tried everything and I've given up. From what I've heard, most people with routers have problems and the minority get passed it. Maybe it's down to the routers themselves.
I've got a Netgear DG834G router. It's the only one that will work with AOL. If anyone has managed to get pes4 online with this router please let me know and I'll give it another attempt.
Otherwise I'll wait till they bring out a PES with better online gaming. PES5 maybe?

Dont worry you are not missing much. You either win by miles or can't do anything coz you are playing someone with the worst lag known to man! Oh and if you ever get to play someone other than AC Milan or Brazil its a miracle.
