The first competition did not carry a prize, but this month's will! At the moment of course our GOTM is in it's early days, so the prizes are small, but hopefully an incentive for you enter. On offer is a DVD movie of your choice, or any item up to the value of 10 pounds at Play.com.

Play.com have just been awarded the prestigious British Video Association (BVA) award for home delivery making them one of the leaders, and indeed PESInsight's favourite online retailers. If you are unfamiliar with Play, we strongly recommend you check them out here (http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=20047&a=1068384&g=606309).

Anywho, on with this months competition, the rules!

Your saved replays should be sent to gotm@pesinsight.com

Please be sure to include your PESInsight username with your email.

This GOTM is open to goals scored in PES4 only.

All goals MUST be submitted in PC save file format if it's on the PC version; X-Port or Max Drive format on the Playstation 2; and Max Drive format if submitting an XBox goal. We do not accept ready made clips. All goals must have been scored during May.

IMPORTANT:

This month's competition is different to last time. All goals MUST be scored with one of the teams who played in this years Champions League. So no National Teams, and no non-Champions League club sides.

As always, goals must be scored on 5 or 6 star.
1 entry per person

After this closing date, our team will choose 5 contenders who will then be put to vote by the public to decide on a winner.

Good luck!

So we can play in a normal season right? Or do we have to score against a CL team too?

So long as the goal is scored with a Champions League side that is ok.

Do the goals have to be scored against the CPU?

Sounds like my new challenge, I'll get underway.. How do they even check you've done it on 5/6* and that it has been done in May?

Yer do they actually have to be scored in May?

Yes obviously.

Nope, goals against either CPU or human opposition will be accepted.

How do they even check you've done it on 5/6* and that it has been done in May?
The replay file will tell us.

We do not accept ready-made clips.

why have you guys limited it to only pes4 thats not fair because quite a few people have moved on to we8:LE and of course alot of people not in europe have winning eleven 8 series so dont u think its slightly unfair????

U think u will re-consider mate, as i think its a bit unfair to people.

Double-edged sword BRUV.

Then the PES4 people would be like "o no u dint" as you would be able to Ronaldinho-stylee flip-flap it past the keeper and whatnot.

Is that smart? Why 5 or 6* difficulty then? Some human players are much worse players than 5 or 6* CPU, but the biggest problem will be cheating mate - two friends in opposite teams will try to cooperate to set-up some crazy goal. You know - one executes a great dribble and the other intentionally slides near him so it will look like he fooled this player. Not good. :(

I see where you're coming from, but we should be able to see if someone has fabricated a goal. e.g bringing the keeper out or not closing down a player

Dubious goals will simply not be selected.

But at the end of the day, a good goal is a good goal.

I've got some good goals, but I only play as Everton, but they are in Champions League next season :D So will they be accepted?

No.

Ok, but don't forget - sometimes even CPU mistimes a tackle, so how will you know if it's a fake?
It would be safer to only allow 5 and 6* goals against CPU, but it's your call in the end...

I'm not too big on the idea of the two player goals. No way I'm going to be able to score a nice goal against any of my mates stingy defensive formations :( Well I guess it's going to have to be the CPU that suffers my wrath :)

Are replays allowed with created players?

Wu-Tang
11-05-2005, 10:26
another thing paul, your not supposed to know who scored the goal otherwise people will vote for their favourite members. RIGHT.....so therefore people who post the goals in goalgallery should not be allowed to send it in.

Paul B
13-05-2005, 15:23
Are replays allowed with created players?
No, neither are players with unrealistic edited stats.

Any of the option files/patches in the downloads section will be ok to use.

wuntang - yes, - it's not advisable anyway as it could take away the wow-factor when viewing the goal, if people have already seen it.
