Who do you think will be an England star of the future? I don't know youngsters for all clubs in England, so any suggestions are welcome.

I reckon your own JJ will breakthru to the first team in the next world cup. I rate Dawson at forest as well - big strong defender. He will come thru too.

I've been really interested in Bentley at Arsenal. Superb lad and, ideally, he should play at least once for the Gunners this season.

Please Arsene.

I would like to see that Asian guy, Harpal Singh(?), break into the Leeds team and do well.

Micheal Dawson is a cracking player but everyones forgot about Defoe! Johnson(chelsea), Leon Osman(everton) Liam Ridgewell (villa), Jamal Campbell-Ryce (charlton), Joey Barton (man city) and Chopra (Newcastle) all have the potential to be internationals at the highest level and have shown their potential

Ryan Garry and John Halls are doing well.

Danny Coles and Matty Hill of Bristol City. I've seen them in action quite a lot, and they're two very good central defenders. They could be snapped up by a big team soon! :)

I agree with cristianoronaldo7, i'd choose cole. But if cheese played football i'd choose that.

Rooney wud be the certain 1 but since he already plays for Engalnd i wud say Dawson(Forset), Barton (City) and Chopra (Toon).

I wud also like to see Woodgate get a chance in the England starting 11 when he is fit again

sean wright phillips, people forget hes still only young

hes gonna be a real star if city do well, or he moves to a bigger club

joey barton against portugal u-21s played a blinder gettin a goal
hes a good hope for the future

chris kirkland will no doubt be england no 1 some day

david prutton also looks good

and everybody knows shola ameobi is yet to show what he can do fully

he'll be great

( oh yeah and rooney :) )

Glen Johnson is a good prospect.

Please, not Joe Cole, the kid has all the technical skills in the world, but hasn't got any understanding of the game at all to compliment his technical ability.

speo5
08-02-2004, 21:26
Glen johnson, Pennant or Defoe, but Johnson seems to have a bit of a diaplinary problem, but still is very good for his age.

Zizou_Zizi
08-02-2004, 22:28
Does he??

Defoe gets better chances for England now he's at Tottenham.

Pennant will return to Arsenal and rock!!!

Fraz_Maitland
08-02-2004, 22:47
Jobi Mcanuff
Lionel Morgan

Two promising north london lads pacey great skill will be stars. Morgans been injured for ages for wimbledon but was linked with spurs numerous times and i think mcanuff may have oved to west ham

Sorry if I've gone over any but I couldn't be bothered reading all the posts ;)

Taylor (Newcastle)
Donnelly (Blackburn)
Bentley (Arsenal)
Eagles (Manure)
Downing (Middlesbrough)
Milner (Leeds)
Whittingham (Villa)
Taylor (Portsmouth)

All these should be pushing for an International call at one stage or another during their career. It seems a bit pointless putting people like Johnson/J. Cole/Jenas in here when they've already played for England...I think we can take people like them as granted when talking about the future.

Fraz_Maitland
08-02-2004, 23:59
Good call on the 2 taylors especially steven taylor the CB.

jthk2004
09-02-2004, 14:05
aaron lennon... anyone?

matty hadley
09-02-2004, 20:04
matt murray when he returns

jthk2004
09-02-2004, 21:31
even matt murray couldn't keep out those 3 arsenal goals...

Zoidberg
09-02-2004, 23:44
I don't have much hope for Lennon, he's too small to be a top player. Matt Murray is good but I don't think he's up to the standard of Kirkland or Robinson so will find it hard to get into the national side in the future. Will probably be fighting with Richard Wright to be 3rd choice.

jthk2004

jonathan stead? but how old is he?

he scored against boro last saturday. just joined blackburn. boro fans were saying "jon who?"

ryandunntv
08-04-2004, 00:34
jon stead is quality, he's only 19 if im right. done better than "replacement" of some kind for the failed transfer of John McBride.

silly boro fans. they don't know him because there northerners

Definitely Maybe
08-04-2004, 20:37
u guys seem to forget james milner... and graham stack had some good saves in the carling cup...

Stack is a canny keeper, but he is Irish.

Agree with LiamK about Joe Cole as well. Loads of ability, but no end product.

Jenas is extremely overrated as well, and has had an absolutely abysmal season.

RONEY , Wes brown , defoe

mutu
11-04-2004, 00:18
who's roney?

Shaun W-P (cant be arsed) scores again for city today, he really should have played in one of our friendlies this year and sven has flopped big time, we'll be missing out if he doesn't make it to Portugal and if he's not ready by 2006 in Germany i'll be well pissed

Yeah Defoe.

Especially at Tottenham :)

rebusrahman
11-04-2004, 20:40
Defoe is starting to rock for sure. They should try and get some partnerships for the future going. Could Crouch ever be a serious England strike partenr with Defoe? I have always favoured 2 up front. One to set up, hold up etc and the other a nippy, inventive, tricksy forward.

Figо10
11-04-2004, 20:42
Tricksy forwards are tricky :)

But I reckon Crouch can't be either... :(

14-04-2004, 21:40
Defoe, Wright Philips, Ronney and Milner are all good prospects for the future and all can get alot better than they are the moment. Out of the 4 I have mentioned I would say that Defoe is the best as he seems to be the most consistent performer.

ashmufc
14-04-2004, 21:42
ashmufc is quite a brilliant prospect and so is rooney his close mate and defoe

Carlton Cole might not play for england cuz he can play for nigeria aswell and the super eagles want him. but hes played for england U21 so theres more chance of him playing for the england senior side.

Teekay
02-08-2004, 09:43
If Carlton Cole has played for England U21, I think Fifa rules say he can't play anywhere else.
Best young players:
Jenas
Rooney

Thats what I thought but I either read somewhere or saw it somewhere that he's Nigerian even though I'm sure he's played for England U21 he could still change his mind and play for Nigeria, if he even is part Nigerian, like Fredi Kanoute

Ismael is an 18 year old player for Barnet, he just recently made the senior England National game XI.
