I saw that Hunter was looking for help considering all kinds of photoshop stuff, so I decided to make a thread dedicated to picture manipulating, making sigs and stuff.

I myself usually just edit some pictures, and some graphics. Feel free to ask questions, and I know there are some other users who know their stuff.

And of course, post your own works, if you think we like them ;)

You can also get the 30day tryout version from adobe site, but you have to register. And surely we won't encourage you to do anything illegal. I've heard you can even cheat some tryout versions by reversing your computer clocks' time. :D

And I'm currently using Photoshop CS2 9.0 (tryout) and Photoshop 7.0

Right.

1 - Get a fresh layer of the size of your choosing, and use the fill bucket.
2 - Add Noise: Amount 400% (Changing this is rather irrelevant though), Monochromatic, and Gaussian.
3 - Crystalize, size around 5 you really don't want it too big.
4 - Motion Blur around 15 is about what I used I think,with an angle around 90 degrees.
5 - This is optional that you can do the same affect with the black and a colour like this:

To do this go to Image: Adjustments: Hue/Saturation: Select Colorize and then change the hue and saturation levels to get the colour to your choice.

On that exorcist image I also put another layer over the top, filled it and added the same noise, I then did the motion blur with naught degrees and very thin lines. Lay this over the top an put it on 5% opacity or so.

I guess that looks pretty much like it should.. except the background shouldn't have the "swirling" effect.

How'd you do those blast effects, I haven't been able to work it out.

Okay,1st. Start a new image, I used 250x250, but try whatever. Choose a white background for it. Use the D button when youve created that to reset the colors(black and white).

2. Clouds. Go to Filter,then Renders and finally Clouds. Then go to Filter>Pixelate>Mezzotint(I believe its called Mezzotint). In the dropdown menu choose Long Lines.

3.Then a Radial Blur. Choose as settings: 100,Zoom and Best.

4. Last thing is adding color with Hue/Saturation. Just press CTRL+U.
You can customize the colors to whatever you like but make sure you check the box "Colorize".

Et voila.

I downloaded Photoshop CS2 two days ago, I've just about got a decent grip on the simple things about it. There's still far too much that's way out my league (e.g. most of it).

I tried a space theme once and it's pretty difficult, your's looks really good though Teekay.

First put in a white back ground, the use the polygon lasso tool to draw the shape of the border. Then delete the middle section.

You can then cut bits out of the border, like I done above.

Then choose your colour, or in the case above a pattern, then go to blending options and add stuff to make it look 3D and sticking out.

The font is a downloaded one.

I made the background by using a techinque with some grunge brushes I downloaded.

Just download any good grunge brush set if you want to make the background.

Chelsea dave your sig is good, but I wouldn't use that BASE 02 font much as it the most overused grunge font ever, and it's not even that nice.

Cracks are illegal.

They are either a program that edits the .exe file so that it forgets you havent paid for it.

Or another copy of the .exe file that has been modified to forget you havent paid for it.

You can also get NO-CD cracks which are for games so you dont need the disc in the drive, these arent illegal as long as you actually bought the game and didnt copy it or something.

- the .exe file is just the main part of the program you click on to make it run.
