Champions league was crap on itv , just boring and plain, thank god bbc didn't get the rights! sky sports is the best footie channel ever! martin tyler, gray, kamara etc, will give us better commentating and we can watch any match we want 2 and not av 2 w8 until about 12 to see highlights more otha games!
Are you ready for love???? Champions league on sky sports!!!!!!!
Gillette soccer special is the best football updating programme as well :D

I must admit sky is much betta than itv, but thats just caus they specialise on spoort and obivously have so much more money to spend on it. I think that the coverage will b much betta and simply will make the champs league even more high profile.

Skysports is King - Tyler & Gray the best combo.
They also have Soccer AM - the funniest TV show on earth.
and Soccer Saturday - with the mighty Jeff Stelling, and Marsh, McClintock, Kamara etc... all up for a laugh but in a serious broadcasting type way.

Its ok for you rich people who can afford Sky.
Up here on our local ITV station we get Scottish First division highlights, much better than Champions League. Who needs Madrid, Milan, etc, when we have matches like Brechin v Ross County!!!!

I still really like BBC. Sky seem to do a lot of shouting and over-analysis sometimes. But at the same time I can't afford Sky so I don't know what I would think long term

I haven't got Sky, so I'm on here to see the Inter-Arsenal match. 2-0 to Inter! ;)

im sorry to disagree.... but i must say i dont like the idea of tyler and gray doing champions league commentary. it just doesnt sound right. i was watching the inter game tonight, and you know... its like just weird having tyler and gray commentating.
itv's commentating team, ron atkinson and that clive bloke who's name i cant spell, are the best for champions league :)

Only cos they have done it for a while so it fits. They aren't really that great. I'm a bit of a stick in the mud as I still prefer BBC

It probably is worth having but I can't afford it and I have to choose between Sky and broadband at some point I think.

Its a shitter to keep up with the payments - about 40 squid a month which includes all sports channels inc. Extra. Probably best to wait til the price comes down, as it will do inevitably

I dunno. I reckon they can milk it for ages yet. I mean if they can have 3 sports channels and the have ppv games and all that and people still put up with it... what is a lowly actor to do!!!!
Definitely Maybe

I havent got Sky Sports Extra (which is a bummer as most of Sunderland's games are on there), but I agree that Sky are the best for live games.
However, Andy Gray a good pundit? I dont think so!
I think hes a superb pundit! Hes better than Ron atkinson or david pleat. They just ramble on. Andy Gray is a superb tacticion.

Aye hes better than Ron, or any other ITV pundit (mediocre ex-players like Robbie Earle DO NOT make good pundits), but hes incredibly biased.
He is up Man Utd and Arsenal's arse, although I think the main reason I dislike him is his love for Peter Reid.
Him and Reidy are good mates and go out drinking together, and he went on and on and on about the sun shining from Reidy's arse. He slagged off any Sunderland supporters who were getting on Reid's backs, despite the man being a complete and utter waste of space (as a manager), and kept rambling on about how Reid would turn it around (even though it was evident to all Sunderland fans he wouldnt).
Gray, along with the rest of the Sky pundits, kept making excuses for our shite displays - it was never the managers fault, always the players or the supporters, even though it is the managers job to pick the players.
Really annoys me when all of gReid's drinking buddies in the media stick up for him and slag Mackems off, but there ya go.
