Does anyone now which modchip is better?

What is the best way to mod my PS2 to play imports and copied games. I also want to know if I get WE;FE, Is it still going to be in japanese even with a modchip or how can I get the English ver.

you have differnt bitches versions, but with the messiah chip you can do everything; copied import original import dvdgames en cdgames. Its the best but also very exspensive.
BTW you dont need to use a bootdisc or something just put your game in your ps2 and play.

you may also want to take a look at the flip lid method, in a topic further down. this is cheaper.

Its cheaper but defentely not better you cant play copied dvdgames like gta vc , getaway you must buy them legal then.
And more, i would go for the messiah then your sitting always good.

I have the Magic Chip 3.11 and IS THE BESTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And also is the last chip that came to the market.

Some of the Magic v3 series had the occasional problem of overheating with certain models of ps2's. But it is a great chip no question.

But I think the magic 4.1 came out earlier this month to coincide with the messiah 2 Pro 1.30 (I think). Both chips are great in their own right, magic is the better opinion in terms of price effectiveness, but the new messiah has slightly better functionality.

You can boot dvdr with a flip lid, but you need to use the dvd magic swap disk. That's the pain with the flip lid, that and the noise. The only thing I'm not sure about is compatibility with the new ps2 v8 models.
