Right since I'm the only Spurs supporter here I've decided to start up a thread dedicated to them, feel free to leave any comments blah blah blah
your not the only fan mate!!!!
Yea fulham vs spurs monday night footy should be a good match, a spurs win i reckon. They will react to there humbiling on tuesday.
Cheers for giving us £7m for Jenas, hopefully now more people will realise he is shite.
Robbie Keane is going to waste at Spurs, youd think with Martin Jol's big-ass head he would have more sense and play him more!

His argument is he works crap with Defoe which is true. So who would you prefer to start, Defoe or Keane? Goes without saying really!
Well Keanes a better team player than Defoe, Keanes better than Mido aswell. Defoes greedy, they should be trained to play together. Keane is going to waste at the minute...

i agree. Robbie Keane has full of potential, and should be getting the nod ahead of Mido.. Let Keane play more and he will reward you with goals.. that,i can be certain of

If Keane and Defoe play together they will probably not get a lot of goals between them but if Defoe plays alongside a character which can hold the ball up a bit more e.g Rasiak or Mido, he will score a lot more than the pair together.

Keane Must Start Vs Everton Upfront With Mido!!!

Anyone here think we should get Mido on a permanent deal? I'd say yes, as the guy is proving to be a hit at the lane unlike at roma, marseilles, celta vigo and ajax where he was hardly given a chance.
Seems rather inconsistent, and moody, to me, and according to the loan contract, apparently, he'd cost £4.5m, which is a little too much.
Master Flexy
16-10-2005, 21:54
You're right about the inconsistancy but if given the time and chance, this guy can be our 20 goal a season man.
Master Flexy
16-10-2005, 21:56
Olodude, Lee's been okay but he's not a natural left footer which means we're short of crosses coming in from the left. With strikers like Mido and Defoe we need those crosses coming in.

Allow the nonsense about Jenas being shite. At £7mil he's proving to be a bargain. The guy's got brilliant playmaking ability and is one of the best passers in the english game. Oh, and how are Newcastle fairing with million dollar man Owen?

Only he will tell you whether he intentionally forgot to put sideways and backwards before it.:D
playmaking ability:unsure: Vs everton was only decent game i saw him play, the others he gave the ball away which led to the opposition scoring.
What takes the mick is pundits saying he should be playing for England regulary after one performance.

I suggest people watch games before they actually rate a player. If Jenas really is shite would he even be called up to the national squad?

Why would he not want to go there?

Yids!! i am a spurs supporter but i ain't a jew
anyway................. I h8 Mido, true he has been scoring goals for us but when i watch him play he is such a crap target man. For some1 so tall and big he doesn't go for the headers as much and he goes down far too easily.
i hope we play rasiak more often he is a much better target man and hope mido won't become a permanent signing so that we can snap up kuyt from Feynoord.

Gardner is crap and i can't believe micheal Brown is still at tottenham he is SSSOOOOO crap. I swear i am better than him. Stalteri scored a gd goal but dn't think hi meant it lol. crap tottenham wasnt, i just feel we lacked that killer edge, whilst we were two nil up, we should of put more pressure on them, when it was 2-2 it gave them beleif, beleif that we should of knocked out of them by going 3 up. gardner is diabolical the quicker he goes charlton the better, kelly had a poor game, unlike hes usual self, i still say he looks more comftable on the right. rasiak has proved what a great striker he isnt, so id expect him to leave this month.
january, right i know theres gonna be alot of speculation this month, most unsettled players get linked with spurs, personally i feel we need two stikers, i say two because defoe may leave, he doesnt have the fire in his belly no more, and he doesnt like being left on the bench, something he cant afford being so close to a major tournament. we need a better striker than rasiak too, i feel jol will do all he can to get dirk kuyt, i also feel that we may have a shout in landing veiri from a.c on a free/loan basis. laquita of udinese is also another option, chris houghton has been keeping an eye on this player this season.
the final half of the season is gonna be a big push for spurs, trying for champions league, if not european cup to say the least, players who may leave are mendes, gardner , brown, davis , defoe, we may not finish above the gooners, but no matter where we finish the season will still be improved from last, well get more than 60 points and a plus goal difference, something spurs havnt achieved for some time, i look forward to the league being our only focus, cos when players are tired from domestic and european cup games well have the physical edge over them.

We are Tottenham, super Tottenham, from the Lane...
Yes, read on for the true history of Arsenal Football Club.
Sir Henry Norris (1865 – July 1934) was an English businessman, politician and football club director, most famous for his chairmanship of Arsenal.
A keen football fan, Norris first became a director of Fulham, during which the time when the Cottagers won promotion from the Southern League to the Football League. Then, in 1910 he became chairman and majority shareholder of the ailing Woolwich Arsenal (after the club had gone into voluntary liquidation) while still retaining his post on the Fulham board. With Arsenal's low attendances and poor financial performance, Norris tried to create a London superclub by merging the two clubs, but this was blocked by the Football League. Undeterred, he turned his attention to moving Arsenal to a new stadium; he eventually settled on a site in Highbury, north London. The Arsenal Stadium opened in 1913, and the club dropped the "Woolwich" from its name the following year.
Norris's most infamous contribution to Arsenal's history was his role in the club's promotion from the Second Division to the First in 1919; Arsenal were elected to the top flight in spite of only finishing fifth the previous season (1914-15, as competition had been suspended for most of World War I). This promotion came at the expense of other clubs, including Arsenal's arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur. It has been alleged that Norris either bribed or influenced the voting members of the Football League [1]. Although no firm proof has ever been offered, the fact that Norris was later banned from football for life in 1929 for making illegal payments to players, and other financial irregularities, is often cited as supporting evidence.

martil jol (hes got no hair but we don't care)'s made it a quiet january, but who would you like to see at the lane?
i'd like another solid centre back, mido (permanantly) and maybe another striker.
what do you all think
The word is Spurs and one other unnamed club have had bids accepted for Torres. Fair to assume if he did arrive (which is by no means guaranteed) Defoe could be on his way to Liverpool. My Spurs Source...
Looks like Defoe is on his way then, as Spurs weren't willing to part until they got a replacement for Jermaine in

You can't really judge Berbatov he's never played in the Premiership, just because he is a great goalscorer in the Bundesliga doesn't mean he is going to be a great goalscorer in the Premier League, they two leagues have very different styles.
By the way the new spurs kit is puma and mansion, so haha man utd their deal fell through and we capitalised, were meant to be getting 34 million a year from mansion (were in the top ten shirt deals in the world..WERE ON THE UP) Definatley take champions league this year. I reckon Berbatov will do well in UEFA for us CUM ON THE YIDS
Whats going on with Mido????
martin_cranie

It's £34m over 4 years, not per season. Considering ManYoo's four year deal with AIG is worth £56m, you can hardly mock them.

why would we let Defoe leave
Because he won't play and just get unhappy.
I think Defoe has to leave Tottenham, for the sake of his career if anything. For me he's still one of the best strikers in England, incredibly sharp, quick and WILL score goals if he's given the chance. Too me he looks as if he's gone stale at Spurs, needs a fresh start.

Thank fuck we got the best goalkeeper in the world, now that's wah I say.

Aliadiere

And without a doubt, we will do them in our turf. We'll have a stronger team, I'm sure.

Robinho Rejects Spurs Talk
Real Madrid star Robinho has rejected talk he could move to Tottenham if he decided to leave El Santiago Bernabeu.
The Brazilian international recently voiced his disappointment at his lack of first team chances this season.
Robinho has struggled to hold down a spot in Fabio Capello's starting XI this term.
The former Santos man hinted he could consider his future at Real if his situation did not improve.
Rumours emanating from Spain suggested Tottenham were monitoring Robinho's situation, but the classy forward has dismissed the possibility of moving to White Hart Lane.
Robinho insists Tottenham are not a big enough club for him if he was to leave the Spanish capital.
"Reports that I'd move to Tottenham are wide of the mark," Robinho told Marca.
"If I had to leave Real, I'd choose to join another a big club.
"I don't regard Tottenham Hotspur as a big club."

The blame should be aimed more at Danny Shittu, by deciding to leave it, when he should have headed it clear. Ben Foster was too far off his line and misjudged the bounce, but the ball should never have been allowed to bounce in the first place.

These English Hooligans must be kept on a tight leash.
They are too unpredictable, these unruly bastards.
At least they let them drink, didn't they? A mistake, if you ask me.
Dry and under surveillance is how they should remain for the entire stay.

The only positive from most English hooligans is they don't stab anyone or very very rarely do so when compared to their foreign counterparts. But all in all, the "trouble" wasn't that bad, very minor when comparing it with full-scale hooliganism. I'm not condoning it but it didn't seem much, it was good to see the Police simply standing there and blocking the pathway as opposed to almost killing them.
EDIT: After seeing all the clips of the incidents, it does indeed seem quite serious. 8 people hospitalised at the moment, 7 Spurs fans and 1 policeman. Many with cuts to the head and possible fractures. Sounds quite nasty really, still not entirely sure what triggered the trouble though, I'm sure some reports will be released very shortly however. (The numbers came from Sky Sports)
Are Spurs the most feminie team you have ever seen or what ? Apart from Keane and Dawson you wouldnt expect any of them to win a 50/50 challenge and sorry but how the hell can you take Lennon seriously. He wears gloves in Spain (as he did in Portugal a couple of weeks ago) and still runs like he has crapped himself - but now he seems to sticks his hands out (not his arms, just his hands) all the time which makes him look even more like an extra from the Rocky Horrow Show.
And as for Jenas - the body language he gives off is dreadful. He always looks like he is either going to cry or he just doesnt want to be there at all.

Agreed. Very inconsistent and over-rated in my opinion.
Defoe's finishing is terrible, I can remember loads of chances this season which he screwed up. He will need to improve if he is ever going to become the player he is touted to be. The problem for him is that having Keane and Berbatov as his rivals means it is hard for him to get a decent run which is what he needs.
defoe is better than most strikers in the premiership.
emphasis on most i agree that berbetov is a lot better but dimitar is also a lot different to JD, and no he isn't rubbish n his finishing isn't terrible, his is a MUCH better finisher than keane and the only reason why keane is ahead of him right now is because keane is on one of his goalscoring runs AND keane too is a different player cause he naturally drops off.
when defoe was partnering berbetov was he not scoring regularly? also go through all the teams in the league and name the strikers who are similar to JD and are better - there aren't many of them.

Defoe was getting a regular run in the side along side Berbatov but wasn't producing the goods (scoring goals) so he was replaced by Keane and rightfully so. Keane is doing what Defoe couldn't do.
Personally, I regard Robbie Keane as a better striker.
