Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Now, I know many of you aren't likely to be interested in this (well, I haven't seen any other topics related to Gamecube games), but really, you should be, as Double Dash is about to become the greatest racing game ever! I'm really a Ninty at heart, and the only reason I have my PS2 is for one series... yup, Pro Evo.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else is waiting for Double Dash!! with as many expectations as me? I certainly haven't seen any discussion about it on these forums yet, so I think it's time we start now.

8-player compatible (linking two Gamecubes), beautiful graphics, loads and loads of characters and courses to choose from, and with all the usual Mario-style gaming fun, Double Dash!! is the only game I'm looking forward to as much as Pro Evo 3 (yes, you heard me).

I've got Mario Kart on the N64, brilliant. Haven't got a Cube though so I won't be getting Double Dash. No doubt my mate will be though, so I'll probably get to play it.
Ahhhh....the Mario series, one of the best ever! :)

i cant wait for this game either it looks TOP....but this one is gonna be diff casue u have 2 characters on at tha same time dont ya!!! im not sure how iz gonna work but loooks like a promising game!!

i think theres gonna be 1 prob with this game. well if u have played mario kart on tha n64 and wanna get this then u might have a lil prob. Rember there used to be 8 characters playin when ya played comp... in this u can only play 6 which could dissapoint sum people

Are you sure you can only play as 6?

I've seen a picture from the two-player Grand Prix and there are 8 different karts (so 16 different characters, then). And I know there are 8 different karts because the first and second players are in 7th and 8th positions respectively.

Maybe you can customise how many opponents you face...

I thought you could have 8? Not that I'd ever that many people and pads! But yeah, sure looking forward to it as well as F-Zero too. Have u got Zelda and Metroid Prime? I would love to get them.

Also have you got Eternal Darkness? Is it any good?

it wont topple the best driving game ever. the original mario kart. and reb metroid is one of the best games ive played.
