Thanks man, yeah credit goes to myself and the guys. Check the first post for a menu if you haven't already. I'm currently working on classic Hungary and I'm sure Portugal will be done soon. :)

hello everybody,

http://www.pesinsight.com/showthread.php?t=37376&page=7

On this page you can see the stats of Baggio in WE10, he's underrated, no?
he was better in PES5 aged of 36, Konami sometimes make very strange stat.

You can notice that apparently Zola had been add to the classic Italy.

Hi Krookwk,
Thanks for McGrath.
Oddly, although at a glance his stats don't look as good as Lawrenson or Carey's, auto-sorting the formation gives McGrath and O'Leary as Classic Ireland's first choice CB combination (which is arguably as it should be). Also: his appearance is really a tough one, your one is much better than what I had, so please let me know if you have any suggestions for any of the other players I created.
And thanks for Jennings: great to see that strange long special hairstyle being used :D
And as for Rush... uncanny

I'm looking forward to Classic Hungary when they are finished (thanks to yourself and YV84).

And finally, would it be helpful if I posted a Classic Liverpool index? I don't want to clutter-up the thread with unnecessary stuff :innocent:

Hi Donalinho, great to hear from you about the latest additions. Mcgrath's consistancy was far greater than his ability so I based the ratings around that, he is an excellent defender in the game I found. I wouldn't worry too much about the formation and the best team, everyone who plays the game has their own style.

I will add the team link to the index if you have finished and please feel free to do more, i.e. Liverpool.

One thing I fear though... you will have WE10 soon and we will not benefit from your creations until PES6. :(

Never fear, I'm playing WE9 right now, all the editing is the same, except for some of the special hairstyles are numbered differently.
The only thing I'm worried about is not being able to upload my WE9 option file to WE10. The thought of changing all those names from Japanese again...

EDIT: Sorry, I misunderstood your point there. Look at it another way: I can keep you informed about changes to the editing system and begin the process of updating for Evo6. The only prob with editing on WE is that when I return home from Korea and play Evo again, I won't be able to use my WE option file (if that makes sense).

Nice one Donalinho! Good to see the use of a colour scheme also. :D

I currently see 22 players in there, I think the target should be 23 so an additional player would finish the job.

Gary McAllister? He won the UEFA cup with liverpool?

Anyway thanks mate, I add this & Ireland to the menu. Just a final note, you may want to include these kits that were posted by gerd_muller.

http://www.pesinsight.com/showpost.php?p=602086&postcount=1719

I've checked them out and they are pretty good, it certainly will add to the team.

Krookwk I know its a big ask but if I was to give you a list of players would you have an attempt at making a Chelsea allstars team for me. If its too much work don't worry about it.

Well to answer your question...

At the moment I'm working on:

Finishing Classic Hungary, classic Benfica, the better apps for about 50 more classic players in the game, starting classic Croatia/Serbia & Montenegro, classic Porto, classic Portugal, classic Spain, classic Man U, putting the whole thread in a option file, end of semester exams and a social life including a slightly demanding gf. ;)

So all I will say sullivan, is sorry!

(Chelsea will be made at some point, you have my word on that) :)

You'll find the majority of the players at the index on the first page. Myself & YV84 have worked on Classic Hungary and posted the majority of the players. A few more are yet to be done before I post the squad soon.

An excellent suggestion Krookwk.
Unfortunately, the outstanding PESstats (http://www.pesstats.com/) has not been working for a while, so I can't access his stats from a previous game.
Perhaps someone has these and could post them along with his appearance?

Oops, sorry, I just thought off the top of my head that he might have been in one of the earlier games. Probably not, now I think of it.
To be honest, there are at least a dozen more players who should be added to the squad to make it fully representative. Hopefully, the likes of Phil Neal, Ray Kennedy, Jim Beglin, Tommy Smith, Phil Thompson, Glen Hysen, Terry McDermott, Steve McMahon, John Wark, Sammy Lee, Jimmy Case, Alan Kennedy, Ian Callaghan, Ian St John, John Toshack, Craig Johnson and Ronnie Rosenthal (among others) will be posted over time.
If so, I'll add them to the index as they appear.

As Le Tissier was one of my favourite players, I decided to upload a few of his many great goals he scored for Southampton:

Trailing behind to Newcastle 1-0, Matt Le Tissier produces some sublime skill to lose 2 defenders before slotting home to score the equaliser.

1993_10_24_newc_1.avi (http://www.zippyvideos.com/6255974465090086/1993_10_24_newc_1/)

In the same game, the 86th minute approaches when the ball is given to Le Tissier, well, you'll see what he does next!

Finally, the best till last. This was goal of the season against Blackburn in 94/95. Enjoy. :D

Hello again

this is the team im currently using on master league, I admit its a bit weak at the back but going forward it really cant be beaten (well i think), by the way I changed all the peoples ages in this team to 15 cos i'm too impatient to wait for them to regenerate into the game when they all start at 29 and retire in like 3 years

GK: Lev Yashin
RCB: Franco Baresi
LCB: Duncan Edwards
DMF: Franz Beckenbauer
RCMF: Zico
LCMF: Roberto Rivelino
RAMF: Pele
LAMF: Maradona
RWF: Garrincha
LWF: George Best
CF: Di Stefano

its kinda a weird formation

That's a decent team LCFC06, surely making them 15 though would make their ratings even more killer than they already are? :D

aye krookwk youve probably got a point about making them younger improving their ratings, if that was a bad thing i might have changed em back, but well, i think ill leave em for now

Krookwk, fantastic work as usual. Two ideas -- one old and one I just got. The old one: when considering Classic Yugoslavia (you had Croatia and Serbia), don't forget players from the other parts of that country, Bosnians like Safet Susic (who's on this thread for PES 4) and Slovenes. (Don't know who'd crack the lineup. Srecko Katenec? Branko Oblak? I had to look these players up, by the way. If they're not good enough to make the team, fine. I just wanted to be sure that they weren't forgotten.)

Here's the new idea: Classic Brazil II. Surely if any country deserves to have two teams of classic players, it's that one. There are probably enough players on this thread to make a squad like that. Probably enough for Classic England II as well. Italy, too, with sivori's contributions. Anyone else find this worth pursuing?

Hi Beasley17. I made a second Classic Brazil squad because I got tired of players like Socrates and Bebeto never getting into the team over Pele and Tostao, and because I wanted to give a "home" to the many unemployed Classic Brazillian players knocking around on this thread and in the PES shop. I also thought it might be fun to combine the defence and attack from Brazil '94 with the midfield from '82.

It is.

The original Classic Brazil is now basically a composite of the 1958, 62 and 70 World Cup winning teams, with some 1950s players thrown in. The '82-'94 panel is copied over a club team, so it has 30 members, including some 1930s legends (and a couple of 1970s players). The line-ups are as follows:

Classic Brazil:
Felix, Gilmar; Piazza, Brito, Bellini, Carlos Alberto, Everaldo, Djalma Santos, Nilton Santos, Clodoaldo, Gerson, Zito, Didi, Rivelino, Zagallo, Jair; Pele, Jairzinho, Tostao, Zizinho, Garincha, Ademir, Vava.

Classic Brazil 1982-'94 (featuring 1930s legends):
Taffarel, Leao; Luiz Pereira, Julio Cesar, Junior, Leonardo, Mozer, Domingos De Guia, Jorginho, Branco, Aldair, Oscar, Leandro, Josimar; Dunga, Falcao, Socrates, Zico, Mauro Silva, Toninho Cerezo, Dirceu, Eder, Rai; Bebeto, Romario, Leonidas da Silva, Careca, Edmundo, Muller, Friedenreich.

Most of the players are either already in the game or are posted in this thread. Those in italics, I found on this (http://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/1-9217-2623371-172-0-1-0-0.htm) excellent site (scroll down a few posts to find the index).
Josimar I made myself because I thought it was a cool name

EDIT: Now that I see it all written down, maybe Classic Brazil up to 1970 and Classic Brazil since 1970 would make more sense

Its good to hear you're making a classic hungary krookwk, ive attached a copy of the formation the magic magyars played against england at wembley in the famous 6-3 thrashing they gave us. I got it out of Puskas autobiography I hope it helps when you do the formation, I use it for my hungary team now, and its dead confusing when youre going forward because you never know who will be where, but it seems to allow for great penetration of defences, i think budai can be replaced by toth but im not sure

Good suggestions beasley17 as always. As for the whole Yugoslavia team, me & YV84 are not too sure on what to do there. Even combining Croatia & Serbia and Montenegro means there are alot of good players to choose from, and ultimately some will miss out also. Basically we will start creating and then after the majority are made, we will decide how to compile the team(s).

As for the idea of a second team for the nations that are already in the game, I was a little ahead of you on this one. I've planned to do it for a while, but never got round to doing it yet. In the meantime if anyone wants to compile a team for the menu, please do so. I notice that you, Donalinho, came up with a few excellent suggestions that could be made into some teams... :)

see for players that were in the brazil 1970 team, should they not have higher teamwork stats because they were well known for knowing where every player on their team was on the field which is why they played together so brilliantly, just a thought. also i think duncan edwards should have higher stats, from what I've read about him he was the complete player already when he died and many people suggest he would have gone on to become one of the best ever up there with pele and maradona, anyways i just thought he should be better than he is.

One of the following is no longer listed in abilities. It could be "condition" but I'm not sure yet:

It seems consistancy is now missing, whether that will apply to pes6 will remain to be seen.

hello everybody,

Just a thing about WE10, it's interesting to know if some old players of the PES5 shop are now "classic", i think about players like Effenberg, De Boer brothers. in this case, it can be interesting to have their stat too. If someone can do that, it will be great.

Hi Krookwk

Do you think PES 6 will have different classic players, because there is a lot from Japan.

Also Shearer, Bergkamp and Keane will prob. be classic players by the release date Oct 06.

Well it goes without saying that the Japanese players aren't in PES, therefore making more room for the classics and miscellaneous. I think those players that you mentioned would figure in the pes shop, unless Shearer & Bergkamp are moved to the classic teams. :)

Well I was looking for a known Hungarian keeper who was not bad. The classic Hungary team that is being compiled is for the best Hungarian players ever, not specifically to a year or team.

I'm not sure whether Szendrei should be included but I bothered to create him so I thought I might as well post him, regardless of whether he will fit in a team or not. Ok?

i know that we are lookin for the best players ever in each team. but i say grosics and szabo because they were the keepers of the only hungarian teams that did something (final of the world cup) so i thought you couldn't find better keepers. if u think szendrei is better, don't hesitate.

Also, do you also think that Gerson and Jairzinho are underrated? If you have time, can you fix them?

Classic Nottingham Forest maybe?

Notts Forest would be quite difficult. There are only three players I can think of: Shilton, Francis & Pearce.

Here are a few suggestions:

Celtic
Leeds
Man City
Newcastle
Rangers
Tottenham
West Ham
Wolves

Yo TITUSLECHMAKUS I'm very interested in ALL STAR DENMARK .

Just a message to the rest of the world , if the world was full of justice , then the greatest players ever to walk the planet would have been:

JOSE ANDRADE / DUNCAN EDWARDS / ERNEST WILIMOWSKI / DANILO ALVIM /
JOSEF BICAN and LADISLAV KUBALA.

All these players were outstanding and all of them had amazing stories and the ones that stood out for me was JOSE ANDRADE and DUNCAN EDWARDs.

Causes for not being greater than what they could have :

Stuart Pearce

Gabriel Batistuta
Marcel Desailly

Gabriel Batistuta

Well every body here is DUNCAN EDWARDS and JOSE LEANDRO ANDRADE.

I just want to say that i have created ANDRADE before and he is in KROOKs classic player thread however i never did him justice and i am really , really sorry for that , but i am now gonna fix that.

Also note that the EDWARDS i send is what he might have been at the age of 28. I also strongly believe these 2 players were the best ever but things just never went their way.

I agree with the stats, but if you go onto ifhof.com it says duncan edwards played left half, so surely he should be left footed primarily although he could kick almost as well with either

Just to let you know my exams are almost finished so I will get back to creating after the WC. C'mon England! :)

Hey Scotty, can you share some info on Andrade as I don't know much about him.

Edwards primary foot was right and yes he did play left-half. He was to be such a great player already being able to play almost anywhere on the pitch, just a shame we didn't find out just how great he would have become. His memory still lives on to this day though.

3 days to go... ;)

KROOK here is the story of JOSE LEANDRO ANDRADE.
This passage will tell you just the type of player ANDRADE really was and if everthing went smooth sailing this man could have even been better.

Jose Leandro Andrade was the Pele of his time. Until today, the star of the 1930 FIFA World Cup™ remains a great football idol in his home country, Uruguay. Andrade was the star of the first ever World Cup tournament and, even earlier, the hero of the “Urus” at the Olympic gold medal victories in 1924 and 1928.

After his appearances in the Olympics in Paris and Amsterdam Andrade was celebrated in Europe as the “footballer with the golden feet”. In England, the home of football, the black midfield star was called the “greatest of all great Uruguayans” after his Olympic feats. The International Olympic Committee, IOC, even awarded him the “Copa Olimpica”, the Olympic Cup.

As an eyewitness, the legendary German international Richard Hofmann described Andrade, who came from the poorest class in his country and privately was considered a very restless customer: “Uruguay then was the best team in the world. Their star was Andrade. He was a football artist who could simply do anything with the ball. He was a tall guy with elastic movements, who always preferred the direct, elegant game without physical contact and was always ahead with his thoughts by several moves. Andrade was a noticeably fair player. He never reverted to the theatrical interludes of his team-mates, who pinched or rolled on the pitch after fouls in order to achieve an advantage with the referees. Even during the match Andrade always beamed friendly smiles”.

A Dutch journalist enthused after Uruguay’s Olympic victory: “Andrade was such a great player and his colleagues were such aces that you felt sorry to leave the stadium.” On the road to the Olympic gold medal, Andrade suffered a bad injury which later turned out to be far-reaching. In the semi-final match against Italy Andrade crashed into the goalpost during a defensive action and sustained a major eye injury.

In 1930, the Uruguayan became the undisputed hero of the first FIFA World Cup™ tournament in which he scored one goal in four matches and was elected to the All-Star team as right half-back. And all that despite him being older and less fit than when enjoying his two Olympic triumphs. At that time, the piano tuner, born on October 1, 1901, had already played with Penarol Montevideo, Missiones, Reformes, Beljavista and Nacional Montevideo and worked as a civil servant. He had gained three South American titles (1922, 1923, 1926), and won four national championships with Nacional. Andrade played until he was 36 years old and earned 43 caps (33 of those A internationals). After a contract with Atalanta AFA Buenos Aires (1936) in Argentina, the ball virtuoso made guest appearances at Bella Vista and Montevideo Wanderers FC (1937).

Andrade, the natural talent, the phenomenon, was revered by the South Americans as “La Maravilla Negra”, the “Black Wonder”. But after the successes the Andrade monument began to crumble. While co-player and captain Jose Nasazzi advanced to the office of CEO of the Montevideo Casino after his career, forward Pedro Cea progressed from ice cream seller to radio reporter, and attacker Hector Scarone became a coach, Andrade’s road led downwards. The eye injury sustained in 1928 became worse. In later age Andrade returned to the starting point of his career. He left Nacional and re-joined Penarol, where he had been rejected and put off by functionaries, apparently for racist reasons, at an early age.

At the 1950 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil, when Uruguay sensationally won their second title, Jose Leandro Andrade was present as a guest. But in the Uruguayan playing kit on the pitch, there was another Andrade. In his own position, Jose Leandro watched his nephew Victor Rodriguez, who had adopted Andrade as his second family name out of reverence to his uncle.
The German journalist Fritz Hack who lives in South America, needed six days to find the “Black Wonder” in Montevideo in the autumn of 1956. “Friends helped me. But what I found was horrible”, Hack reported. The once famous and celebrated Andrade lived in a dilapidated basement flat in “Calle Perazza”. “In a spartanly furnished room I found Andrade, a total alcoholic and blind in one eye, a consequence of the injury. He could no longer follow my questions, which were answered by his beautiful wife, the sister of one of the former Olympic champions”.

The FIFA World Cup™ and two-time Olympic champion died hardly a year later. Jose Leandro Andrade was found dead on October 4, 1957, three days after his 56th birthday. The former civil servant owned just an old bed, a cupboard and a few medals in a shoe box. But in the memory of millions of football fans in his home country the name Andrade is still steadfastly linked with the golden time of Uruguay’s national team and the first FIFA World Cup™.

Another player I didnt do justice was ARHTUR FRIEDENREICH , i will be posting him soon.

good job tituslech, ,the players are a little bit over rated, but still keep up the great work and thanks for the classic denmark

i don't think that they are that much overrated ... i must remind you that some of them (Lesmes for example) are part of the Great Real Madrid (6 champions league) of 50'-60' and i think Gento has won the 6. so you might have huge players to win 6 champ L ... even if they were a bit crap in the national team (spanish team has always been crap so if you want to make a good one you have to add players from different times)

if you could help for the faces of classic denmark please, haircuts are ok but i'm crap at doing the faces ...

Zinedine Zidane
Has anyone got an old PES or ISS to get Zidanes stats for when he was at his best? I have PES (first pes on PS2) and he's not that good.
Anyone create him themselves? Surely one of the top 5 players of all time should have great stats. Im putting him into my classic Juve team as soon as he retires, I don't put in any players that are currently playing

tituslechmakus
19-06-2006, 12:37
for me zidane's best season was 2001-02 when he won the cl with madrid and he is all time 3rd best player behind pele (1st) and maradona (2nd). if you want i'll post the stats i gave him. I also added zidane to classic juve but a bit less good (he's indeed a legend in that team) but don't look in the previous pes, the stats were underrated. it's the same with france defenders, blanc desailly and lizarazu... they're crap in pes 1 where they should be monsters !!!
it's not because i'm french but i think france's defence in 98-2000 was the best in football history !!!

Any Zidane stats from previous PES/ISS would be good, I have PES5/4/3 and the first PES, so i don't need them, i reckon i'm going to get the hishest stat from each game and use that from my version! So if heading happened in PES3 i'll use that. I agree that they were really bad in PES1. I even went out and bought a copy of that game for €10 to get the stats and was shocked to see how low they were!
Deschamps and Paulo Sousa have really low stats too for some reason.

If france wants to win the world cup zidane has to be dropped because he is too old and henry needs to have another striker alongside him with henry given more freedom. If he is given the same freedom as he has at arsenal then you will see a different france.
