I think he has to catch up to the likes of Pascal Cygan first before he is classed as the best in the world. :)

I dont think that heis the best in the world there are way better players than him, i would never consider him the best player in the world, not by a mile

last time i checked they didnt just hand world player of the year to ronaldinho cause they liked his name. to name a few better than him theres ronaldinho, ronaldo, henry, pascal cygan etc.

Ronaldo suck now (in my opnion). Adriano's much stronger and has a much better balance. In addtion, he's got power like Carlos. But his technique is not that good, if he got Robinho's techniques, maybe he will the best striker in the world.
I dont understand some peoples opinions, some people who dont even watch football are saying shite!

Yet again I am seeing Goalkeepers, Defenders and Midfielders discredited. I have simply had enough of this shit, everytime I see a player classed as the best in the 'world' it is always a Striker or an Offensive Midfielder. Never a bloody Defensive player.

I agree goalkeepers and defenders arn't credited enough. You couldn't have a whole team made up of strikers it would never work. I think players such as Peter Chec should be praised more rarther than the goal scorers.

I gotta go with that.. he never dribbles as good as dinho and ronaldo.. he's good and class yeah.. has alota time for him to improve though.
Adriano is yet to prove anything. He has won a Confederations cup and erm thats it.
Whereas when you look at Ronaldo's honours it is a completely different story. Maybe one day he could be the best player in the world however at the moment I seriously doubt it.

although adriano isn't a good dribbler he's such a complete player. No player is strong and as quick and skillfull as he is. He has a wicked left boot and is a regular set-piece taker in the inter team...

Johnny me and a mate have argued earlier on about Adriano and Ronaldo, he said Adriano too, but as you know i say Ronaldo. He keeps going on about his shot power and his strength... i said near enough what you said in that quote, about Ronaldo is nearly as strong as Adriano, quicker, better feet (can use both), better honours & a top class finisher, he kept arguing anyway.

We should just change ur name to pascal cygan. Have u noticed that Cygan has scored more goals than Adriano? He scored like 2-3 own goals last season :p

compare adriano's goal scoring ratio with ronaldo's. anyway ronaldo at adriano's age was far more phenomenal. anyway why discredit either players? both are great and make brazil wonderful to watch. they are gonna partner each other up front next year in germany and probably gonna win the world cup again. with adriano's workrate and ronaldo's magic, it's just like watching bebeto-romario, or rivaldo-ronaldo.

I think its funny when people call Ronaldo fat, i remember him saying once that when he isnt scoring people say he is fat and when he is scoring people say he has lost weight!
Oh and neither Adriano or Ronaldinho are the best in the world. There is no such thing as the best footballer in the world, only really fantastic players, you can never say who is THE best because, like somebody said, defensive midfielders and defenders get left out and does somebody like Adriano or Ronaldinho deserve it more than Buffon, Cannavaro or Makalele?

Just one of the most on form strikers at the moment.
I think that although Adriano is a very good player, he is still not as consistent as Henry or Shevchenko for example. When he's on form, he possibly is the best striker in the world, but he needs to do it more often to be known as the best.

Well said, judging by what I've seen of him and what has been said about him, I'd say hes ONE OF THE Best strikers in the world, still has a lot to improve though. I'm italian and i see most of the match of inter,milan and juve and sometime of fiorentina,sampdoria and udinese, i can say adriano is a great player but not the best he score only vs team like ascoli,treviso,empoli etc in Serie A and against team like juve or milan don't do nothing look the match of yesterday ( juve vs inter) or milan vs inter of last year.In this year for now he do 3 goals and all vs treviso,imho Ibrahimovic is better he don't do much goals but do 32209303 assist in a match (also in match with milan or inter)and do 15 or + goal in a season (last year do 16 goal adriano 19 i think),Adriano do great goals,great performance only vs little team,against team like juve or milan don't score and don't do assist,yesterday ibrahimovic play only the 1st half but he do much better of adriano and he has played all the match.
