Has anyone got any updated stats for claudio lopez? I think his speed was well underrated in pes2 as he is one of the top five fastest in the world easily. my opinon

He's a pretty pacey player but he's not faster than Henry or Ronaldo. 80 - 85 seems about right for him.

id say closer to 90. depends what you think really. updated stats are only there if people want to use them.

for example. when i updated alan smith etc in the english players forum, say i put 80 for his heading, you may think that its more like 70, so you end up putting 75. its more accurate, because u get two opinions on it.

well, that took a lot longer to explain than it should have done. hopefully u understand my point :)

"Laws of Averages..." would've done the trick ash. ;)

Are you honestly telling us you couldn't have visaged that enough to put it in your game without it being spoon-fed to you?

As for the actual debate, no, Claudio Lopez isn't as quick as Henry, or even Ronaldo, but he is pretty nippy when he puts his mind to it. High Pace (92-odd), lower Acceleration (78-ish). People always think to themselves that these two stats wouldn't work together - but they do. I don't think everyone realises that this will still make him very quick, but it'll take him a bit longer (a second, maybe two) to reach the 92 Pace. He's quick on the ball as well, I'd give him about 89 Dribble Speed.

If you're looking for a bench-mark for Speed;

The quickest player in the world over 100 yards is probably David Odonkor (i.e. 99 Pace). Yes, he's quicker than Babangida. Probably. I've never actually seen them race. Because it's never happened. Obviously.

If you're looking for an example of Speed over 1-5 yards (i.e. Response), then it's Marco van Basten (99 Response without a doubt).

If you're looking for Acceleration, then it'd be any one from a bunch: Ljungberg's quick to get going, Dennis Rommedahl seems to zip into life from a stand-still very fast, and Filippo Inzaghi can suddenly be half-a-yard beyond you without you realising. All these players are around the 99 mark for Acceleration.

Personally, I compare all players to these when looking for attributes to give speed-wise (I do it sub-consciously, it's automatic).

Lopez isnt anywhere near as quick as Henry or Ronaldo or even Craig Bellamy of Newcastle!!

but craig bellamy is a diving cheating injury prone prick who nobody cares about anyway, so he is disgarded from any argument about pace.

its very hard to run on crutches ;)

i think nifty said everything that needs to be said on this thread very well.

moving to italian players...

Lopez is quicker than Ronaldo. Not as fast as Henry, but definitely faster than Ronaldo. Ronny isn't as fast as he once was.

I think that Lopez has a fairly good pace i the game. Then again - it's hard for me to judge since i'm a LAZIO fan - so obviously I think that all the players should be better!!! :D

Seriously though: Fiore's stats are not quite as good as they should be - but I should not be the one to change them - hence i'm a huge fan......

Rommedahl and Grønkjær are very pacy! Much faster than the stats they have in PES3 - especially Rommedahl. Then again! I'm Danish!! :D

I'm sorry, i'm fond of Real Madrid, and Ronaldo never's been faster than Claudio López, and with his present body, will not win even a 10 meters race against Claudio.

I agree with ronisusi.

I don't see Lopez playing since he goes to Lazio, but i'm sure he's faster than Ronaldo.
