Has anyone got the latest installment of the Tiger Woods series?

I have, the best golf game around and one of THE best games around as well IMO.

TWPGAT 2004 includes too many new features for me to mention, most notably the 'Game Face' mode. This enables you to create yourself in incredible detail. I spent ages on this and managed to come out with a pretty good likeness of myself. :)

For those of you have the 2003 version and are wondering if there is any point getting the new one because you think that it may be pretty much the same would be wrong to think so. I would fully reccommend it! I didn't have the previous game, although I played it a lot round my mate's.

tiger woods 2004 is really good, lots more tour modes too and you can play actual time events as well.

its good that all the real golf clubs, nike, callaway etc are in the game too.

Absolutley. As you say the addition of real-time events is a good one. It gives the game more lasting appeal, as if it needed it! :) There is so much to do! I am 10% complete so far.

Yeah they have improved a lot! I like the way that the better you get the better the sponsor you get! Its fun to create yourself and makes the game much better!

My favourite is "Crash and Burn" closely followed by "Ghosts" as we've had many discussions about Giggsy. :D

i find tiger i a bit too easy i won a tournament at -44 which woudn't happen.

they should make it harder like maybee for the next one they should take off the option for caddie tips and take off the cursor that u aim with .

...Onto the game..its one of them games i buy..and enjoy the game..but dont like golf in real life..i buy madden games but dont watch much american football..the games r more fun then there real life counterparts

yeah, when u get the hang of it u will be hitting 300+ yard drives for fun!! :cool:

Do you use the power boost? It is a great way of getting length on your drives and other shots.

At first it prob seems hard but you soon get the hang of it.

Yea i use the power boost not all the time tho..sometimes i mess it up lol.....i just got a hole in one tho :D

Im slowly buliding up my created character..the game face mode is excellent best player creation in a game bar none...im gettin alot better at it..but still have bad rounds :( lol...but im alot better..
You're right about the game face mode. :cool:

I won £340,000 in the world tour yesterday. I placed a wager of £40,000 on the event. :D .....and it paid dividends.

I should be able to significantly improve myself with that amount of cash. :)

Just wait until your attributes are higher, you will need alot more cash to increase them! ;)

i think the player creation is ok but not perfect because every created player seems to have some of the same facial feutures. :confused:

For golf fanatics Tiger Woods is to Links as FIFA is to PES. I've had both in the past but have always found Links better. I would like to see some features (like dynamic moving cameras) in the Links series though.

Is Links actually any good?
I was thinking of getting it for the xbox, but i heard it doesen't looks that good it terms of graphics
and it is quite easy, is it worth getting?

I've had Links '98 and Links 2003. I loved them both. They don't have the flashy features of Tiger Woods but it has good gameplay. I would recommend it if you're looking for a good golf game. Most people who really get stuck into this game are those that play golf in real life. It's all about personal taste though. I like Links on the PC because you can use the mouse... on the PC it has very pretty graphics and IMO has always looked better than Tiger Woods. But my opinion's based on the 2003 versions of both games, not 2004. Tiger Woods appeals to the general population more, as do most EA games.

What's the difficulty curve like? Is it easy to get into?

I may have equalled that score Hitman, Try and win a tournament at -60 Par, i think thats my best, either that or -50. ;) But the game would be soo much better if they made it harder...Dunno how they would do it but still great game. :) Songs are good too!

btw...My best drive is 423 Yards :eek:
