Ronney to Chelsea? (http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2003480645,00.html)

What do you think? If he is the die-hard fan he proclaims to be, then if he does leave, I think he'll be playing half-heartedly at Chelsea. The fact that he's young doesn't help either. Young players tend to have more of a childish connection to clubs (not wanting to let go), and Rooney seems to be as dedicated as they come.

There's always a possibility, but I think Chelsea might get the same response they got when they tried to buy Henry of Arsenal:

"Sod off."

According to teletext Chelsea have denied that they want him but you don't know what to believe. I reckon they probably will make an approach. Chelsea have enough strikers as it is though, I've heard rumours of Adriano going to Chelsea as well. He would make a great partnership with Mutu from their Parma days as I'm sure you all know. Then theres the small matter of Crespo, Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen...
Ah well, the spending will never end.

Why pay £35million for a spot prone teenager who is overweight? :p

Rivaldo really is getting desperate.

I don't want that cheating cunt in my squad. Let him join those spuds.

Anyway, I'd rather look at someone like Nihat from Sociedad when the transfer window opens again.

Um... why is everyone so derrogatory about Rooney. He is a fantastic player. He's not worth £35m (and I bet that rumour was started by his agents) but then in reality who is? Although he would have at least 12yrs at the top at any club who bought him?

I think they're just jesting, reb. After all, he is a great talent. Admittedly, not the most likeable guy, but a very good footballer nonetheless.

Hmm... maybe. pic, u know Nihat did look sharp against England. But why is noone interested in Rivaldo?

But why is noone interested in Rivaldo?

Mainly to do with his attitude, I'm assuming. Some players have a tendency to get team morale down and bring a negative side of them to training which in turn can affect the whole team. Obviously, a manager wouldn't want that. That's just my take on it, anyway.

We're looking at Kluivert now, apparently, along with Chelski. It's quite obvious he'll be leaving Barca come January, but to which club? He's pretty much ruled out Newcastle now, and if he does go there, I don't think he's going to be ultra-happy.

Chelsea are loaded. Why do they want yet another striker? If I was Kluivert, I personally wouldn't go to them as opportunities are very limited and chances are, if I make a bad start or go wayward slightly, I'll get booted from the first team. But I'm not Kluivert so screw that.

Arsenal need him most. We need a striker to help out TH14. Best of all, Kluivert has tremedous aerial prowess which, quite bluntly, we lack up front.

That said, Kanu has been nothing short of breathtaking in his last two subsitution appearances this season. AW should give him a few starts to see if he's rediscovered himself.

PP out.

I would have to agree with PP that lately Kanu has been breathtaking. This was again the case in Kiev. Hopefully a few starts would either confirm this or prove that he can only come off the bench for a 'cameo' role.

I have also heard, that we may attempt to sign Kezman from PSV. I am in truth, not thrilled by these reports. It seems that he is a prolific centre forward in HOLLAND, but can he do the business in England? That's a different story. I also hope, like PP, that we sign an exciting forward, such as Nihat, who can share the responsibility of goalscoring.

As for Rivaldo... again PP is correct in what he says, but I can add, who in their right mind can afford to pay the type of wages he believes he can command for a 32 year old? Over to Chelski...

On a side note:
I hope to God that we sign a tall centre forward, who can stick the ball in the back of the net with his head! (Unless you can't guess, I support the Arse!)

KLUIVERT! Would be the man I described above. All though are finances are at an all time low, so this transfer seems almost impossible.

Rooney to the Chels? Dream on, no hang on if it were £50 mill...
