Do you think Super Kev will get a good reception if he does play on Saturday? or Gav or Thomas or any other SAFC reject lol
prediction for Saturday 1-0 Kelvin saving a pen perhaps from Mr Phillips
may i make a contribution although being a Toon fan;).... is this the first time Super Kev is making a return to the SOL?

If memory serves me right he left us for Southampton and we replaced them in top flight so this will be his 1st return. If shearer had of left you's would you have boooooed him if he came back?? I think its a hard situation cos he left us as we went down jumped ship when we needed him following relagation.

Has he got his place back then after being dropped for the Arsenal game?

If you went down under Either Gullit or Daglish shearer would have left you and yous would have been ticked off. But I dont think either fans would booo them.

Kevin Phillips didn't actually score against us it should have been disallowed due to ball crossing line before the cross. Still Gutted tho.

Well Funny Joke
A primary teacher starts a new job at a school in Newcastle, and trying to
make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that she is
a
Toon fan. She asks the class to raise their hands if they, too, are Toon
fans.
Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl. The
teacher
looks at the girl with surprise and says: "Mary, why didn't you raise your
hand?"
"Because I'm not a Toon fan," she replied. The teacher, still shocked,
asked: "Well, if you're not a Toon fan, then who do you support?"
"I'm a Mackem, miss, a Sunderland fan, and proud of it," Mary replied.
The teacher could not believe her ears. "Mary, why are you a Sunderland
fan?"
"Because my mum and dad are from Seaham and my mum is a Sunderland Fan and
my dad is a Sunderland fan, so I'm a Sunderland fan too!"
"Well," said the teacher, in a obviously annoyed tone,"that's no reason for
you to be a Sunderland fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all
of the time. What if your mum was a prostitute and your dad was a drug
addict and a car thief, what would you be then?"
"Ah, then," Mary said, "I'd be a Middlesbrough fan."

Heard that one before with a variety of clubs, still quite funny though.

I'll start the ball rolling lads.
Should SB (Steve Bruce) sell Craig Gordan? I think so he is the biggest waste of 9 million I have ever seen, we should sell him now and buy better in the Jan transfer window.

Who would you suggest as a replacement for him?

i would move fulop to number 1 keeper and buy either casper or brad fredial as number 1 if we could get him.

Wouldn't the ball just go straight through him?
I thought Gordon looked better this season before his injury. I never agreed with the 9 million pound price tag but I wouldn't ditch him just yet. Still very young for a keeper.
That Scott Loach, of Watford, looks promising. Under 21's England goalie.

All I can say is that the whole team needs to get their arse in gear after Chelsea, it's so easy to lose even more form and Sunderland simply can not do that at this stage in the season.

Isn't your defensive injury problems as bad as Man Utd's? Plus, you are missing Catermole. That doesn't legislate for such a heavy defeat, but you caught Chelsea on the wrong day.

I was going for the 'avoid bringing up injuries' route because I know how that sounds :P
Yeah, it doesn't help, but most of the players already on the pitch have proved they can perform, but on the day they didn't, and Chelsea had their weetabix. Unlucky but it could have been avoided.
Sheffield United defender Matthew Kilgallon is on his way to Premier League side Sunderland, BBC Radio Sheffield understands.
The two clubs have agreed a fee of around £2m for the 26-year-old, who had also interested Burnley.
Kilgallon is understood to have travelled to the Stadium of Light to undergo a medical on Thursday.
The former England Under-21 international made 124 appearances for the Blades in three seasons.
He's been an important first-team player for Sheff Utd past couple seasons, so it's a shame really that United are only getting £2m for him.
I imagine he's being signed up for extra depth; Do Sunderland have defenders injured?

I think 2 million is more than enough. Decent player though.

Damnit, typical equaliser against us there.
Also, what's up with the SAFC text coverage? It's went about ten minutes without an update now
Edit: I'm beginning to lose faith in Sunderland now, I don't think it matters how many players we buy, there will always be a mentality where they think 1 goal is enough to win on. I don't blame Steve Bruce but he really has to do something behind the scenes to sort us out of this slump, because at the minute I see us battling relegation... again
