Yea, i like it too. Although i've been told that Bommel is too attacking and does not belong back there. Which i think is not so true. Yossi said i should use Kompany in his position, move Garcia to one of the wings and place Bommel in central midfield with Deco.

i think its a lot to ask of van bommel to break up he opposing teams counters on his own as he gets into the attack quite well and it'd be a shame if he couldn't

I almost forgot; Preki, I think you should try Mertesaker in place of Mijhalovic. Will Chiellini or Finnan break into the starting 11? I rate Finnan better than Mancini. Chiellini is also better than Maxwell, I think. No Fred, how come?

Muad for me......Van Bommel, Deco and L.Garcia in the midfield are excellents......but I prefer Cisse instanted of Ben Arfa and Adriano instanted Cisse, like:

he won't play gallas at lb as it is common knowledge that gallas hates playing on the left, but the rest of ur line up looks good...

ah silly me for not looking back, i rate mancini higher than finnan but only slightly and chiellini and maxwell about the same, maxwell gets the call to start b/c of his brazilian pedigree and his more widely known name imo...

not starting fred was a tough decision, i wanted to see the reaction to gudjohnsen, but honestly i don't know which guy to start, if you can think of a line up that gets them both in feel free to let me know... :)

I can only say to drop D'Alessandro, as he isn't having a good year. You should get enough creativity out of Fred and Gudjohnsen, with Beasley and Kalou on the wings... :)

Diop and Keane will stop almost all the attacks through the middle too. Just a thought.

Muad for me. His front line is too talented. I can see it already...."Deco penetrates the midfield and finds V. Bommel. Bommel makes a beauty through pass to Arfa. Arfa crosses it...GOAL! Cisse!

Preki's team is being severely under-rated, I think he could nick a draw, or at least put in a spirited display here. The front four are very dangerous.

Fred instead of Gudjohnsen, a far superior striker.

The biggest weakness is central defence, it's not bad, but it's the one area you could improve on, the rest of the team is superb. Keane and Diop would do a good job protecting it, but you could work on that area to strengthen further.

I'd like to see Vincent Kompany in Muad's team, possibly at right-back, as Gallas and Andrade are a formidable duo. Van Bommel is fine as the holding midfielder, he's strong defensively aswell as offensively. The frontline is extremely quick. I'd like to see this as the frontline:

I think Muad isn't playing his best eleven because its a friendly. He usually have Kompany in. And will most likely play Adriano over Arfa.

Preki, I'd drop Keane and put Gudjohnsen there, start Fred up front.
You have great full-backs but the centre backs could let you done a bit. Toughen up that area and you will have a great chance of going up, great team though. ;)

I also think you should use Gudjohnsen and Fred up front. Dont really see Gud as a lone striker albeit his great goalscoring skills.

Cisse as a winger? I'm not so sure about that. Benitez tried that for a while and it wasnt too effective. Cisse is one lightining quick mofo but he aint that great with crosses. I'd rather use Garcia on one side and Babel in the other. And to be honest, youre all understimating Ben Arfa. I hope this kid gets to start in the next Lyon CL fixture because he is one hell of a dribbler and very, very quick. He is like a Robinho+Messi combo. :)

You're right. I'll probably be forced to bench Ben Arfa. The lad isnt well known.

I think it's true, as Reyes9 says, that Preki's team is being dismissed a little too quickly. I do believe that Muad would most likely win the match, hence i've voted for him, however Preki has a nicely balanced squad both in terms of experience and in terms of ability to attack and defend. I have to agree with the calls from Nedy and Reyes that Roque Junior is a little weak, so there is a slight problem in central defence.

I think that if Preki wants to stick with that formation, which i think looks pretty good, then i'd place Fred upfront and tuck Gudjohnsen in behind him.

Muad, your team looks very nice indeed. Great options upfront, a solid defence and a nice midfield trio. I agree with you that Cisse out wide wouldn't be overly effective, so i guess you'd have to drop him to the bench in favour of Adriano. I'd definately place Kompany in your team, probably at centre back, as despite Gallas's skills in the middle i think he'd be more useful out wide than Kompany would.

Thanks Marty, i am a lil suprised at how quickly my team was brushed aside, i thought muad's team was too offensive but whatever...

ill hafta sort out my formation in antother friendly or two, maybe a 4-4-2 featuring gudjohsen and fred and another 4-3-3 with fred at the point, we'll see

oh and who thinks mertesacker would be a better option than roque junior

I really don't know much about Mertesacker, but i guess it makes sense to experiment.

I think the only problem you have upfront at the moment is that Gudjohnsen isn't a poacher, he's the type that should play in the hole i think, so Fred playing ahead of him could be very dangerous.

Still though, i'd be happy to give you a friendly some time to allow you to continue your experiments ;)
